Pros +
- Location
- Very good overall. Great location. Good amount of services.
- This is a lovely hotel The staff friendly and helpful Rooms emulate Breakfast very good and good choice Bar food was good but I would have liked choice of light bite menu. As it was 6 pm and wasn't really hungry but had to eat of the main menu.
Cons -
- No ice.No refrigeratorElevators not working properlyBetter selection of good needed
- We booked here from the USA b/c it had a swimming pool for my kids. My kids were unable to swim at various points due to a private swimming class. When my two boys then were allowed in pool, private swim instructor (a "Karen") - not hotel staff - ordered them to put on swim caps and told pool employee that my boys were not wearing caps. Pool employee was polite, but then required us to buy 2 swim caps. My boys have short hair and boys do not wear swim caps in the US. I also note that we stayed at the Twin Trees in Ballina and that pool did not require swim caps. Was an unpleasant experience after we booked the hotel for the sole reason to use the pool.
- Staff at Check in and in the restaurant Staff in both areas not very helpful and service very slow and it was not that busy on a midweek stay.

Comfortable room, good location.

Location and swimming pool.

Lovely hotel, just on the outskirts of Ballina, yet 5 min drive in. Quiet, excellent to relax. Staff in each part, including cleaning staff are great and very accommodating.
Just minor personal details such as sockets by the bed, extra hooks for towel by the sink in the bathroom and extraction ventilation in the bathroom.
Swimming pool, sauna, food, family room
Quiet room. Great staff. Warm pool.
Carpet in bedroom wasn’t great. Quite stained.
Staff were lovely. Food in the bar was gorgeous and so was breakfast. Spa and pool was fabulous and the spa therapists were so lovely!!
Room was slightly dusty causing some allergies.
Great size rooms and very clean & comfortable. Nice comfy bed, slept so well nearly missed our checkout time!
Bar/ Restaurant area wasn’t the best, average I would say.

We chose this hotel based on its 4-star rating, hoping for a comfortable and relaxing stay. While some aspects met our expectations, unfortunately, others fell short. The room was spacious and cosy, and the food at the restaurant was quite good. There was ample parking, and the location is convenient, especially if you're travelling by motorway. The spa area is quite nice and organised.
The hotel facilities seem dated and would really benefit from some refurbishment. The biggest issue, however, was our experience during what appeared to be a large fundraiser or event held at the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, it was clear that the event was affecting the overall guest experience. The dining area was shared between event attendees and regular guests, resulting in an extremely loud and chaotic atmosphere—we could hardly hold a conversation or enjoy our meal.Later that evening, things got worse. As we returned to our room, we witnessed two guests running through the corridors in their underwear. Trying to sleep was nearly impossible: the event continued until around 3 am, and it seemed many of the attendees were also staying in the hotel. There was loud noise from the corridors and the car park beside the rooms throughout the night. In the morning, we attempted to make a complaint but were told the manager was unavailable. Eventually, during breakfast, the manager did speak with us and offered a refund for the breakfast, which we appreciated, but overall, the experience was disappointing and far from what we expected from a 4-star hotel.
Great location staff very friendly bar staff very good and sound ?
Spacious bedroom with all you need
Carpet in room very stained, large function on the night of our stay so very little sleep, around the stairwell in morning half empty beer glasses and lots of confectionery rubbish.
The reception was very quick, practical, polite and showed all professionalism and kindness. The room is sensational and the pool is absolutely wonderful. Very clean and no harmful cleaning products. Everything was wonderful.
The sockets near the bed are different from the Irish standard. It would be interesting if they changed them or put in an extension or adapters so that we could use the sockets near the bed.
Nice location
Only thing nice was the reception area.rooms dated.food ok service ok. Breakfast area filthy this morning literally sticking to the floor after a party last night in the bar
Breakfast was just right.not too much but enough options to suit everyone.Excellent service
Nothing, everything was so well organized and managed ?
Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of variety and well cooked. Setting was also nice. Hotel is really stunning. Used the sports facilities and were also excellent.
A range of softer pillows. Sleep was still comfortable though.
Room was lovely and large. High ceilings and pretty view out window. Weather was sunny:) They had a spa on site, so I did a massage. Staff was very accomodating.
I could not figure out how to raise the temp in the room, but they brought me a space heater. There were stairs to my room, short, but no elevator to get there.
Friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming staff, at reception, bar, and breakfast. Lovely spot.
The room was a little too warm.
