    • The food we had for lunch was outstanding! The staff was very friendly! The check in was easy and our room was ready before the check in time.
    • Everything was fabulous. The staff was so nice and helpful. Katie McNicholas was so sweet and kind. She went above and beyond to help me get a taxi to go to my Grandmother's church in Kilasser. Loved staying here in beautiful Co.Mayo ?❤️Thanks again Marybeth Teahan
    • They had a nice restaurant and an elevator

    Cons -

    • the only thing that we would change is to have been able to make our room a bit cooler. It was quite hot and didn't have much circulation.
    • The toilet didn’t flush all the time. The tub was hard to get cover its side. Elevator had a sewage smell
    • These lines shouldn't be taken as criticism, but only as friendly suggestions for consideration. Firstly, our room had a window opening to a light shaft. In it were ducts extracting the fumes from the kitchen. So the windows could not be opened (otherwise the smell would fill the room. The extraction ventilators were kept running during the night, causing noise. It would be nice if they would have been turned off after the kitchen closed. Secondly, we were staying over to catch our plane next morning. Most flights from Knock depart quite early, so we needed to vacate the room before breakfast service started. I think this is not a unique or rare scenario, since Knock has regular flights to the UK and the Netherlands and who knows where else. Staying in many hotels all over Europe for work, I know service in most of them starts at least one hour earlier, if not earlier (E.g, in Brussels many hotel breakfast areas are up and running around 6). To accommodate our type of outbound traveller, it would be nice if one would be able to get some breakfast. So these are just some points for consideration coming to mind. But it doesn't diminish my appreciation for the kind welcome and the help with finding an adapter for charging my phone.

We were welcomed by a cheerful and very kind member of the hotel staff. She gave us all the information we needed and there was no unnecessary fuss or formalities. The location, in the centre of the town, was excellent and the hotel is not far from Knock West Ireland Airport, which was our destination. The room was OK, and the bedlinen was crispy clean. All in all a very positive experience.

After a warm welcome at reception, we settled down to an excellent evening meal which we had requested and confirmed , by asking on the booking-dot-com messaging box. The car was parked right outside the Hotel and the chef went the extra mile by coming in early so that we could breakfast before catching an early flight from Knock. The room was large and comfortable, with plug sockets either side of the bed for charging phones, and a desk big enough for emails and facebook posts.. the night before.

The breakfast was excellent, and Anita was wonderful. Also, when the room was cold, a staff member immediately helped solve the issue.

My wife and I had a lovely stay. It is a lovely quiet small town with really friendly locals. We were able to park on the street right outside the Hotel - it couldn't have been any handier. We ate in the hotel and the food was lovely and very reasonable. Breakfast was nice too - it would have been 'really nice' only I forgot to ask for the hollandaise sauce on the side - I don't like too much sauce but this was on me. Lovely coffee and a great speedy service.

Hotel was far from the perfect venue, was very dated and dull and dreary. Had booked a double/twin room for 2 people on arrival was told that the room was only for 1 person, had no options only too pay 40 euros before they would let us check in, no phone in the room for visitors looking for us the lady on reception on departure day was quite rude to my cousin who came to say goodbye to us and told her to wait outside as we had not checked out yet. Pair of binoculars would have been needed to watch tv as it was so small

    GREAT BREAKFAST

Room comfortable but you couldn't regulate the temperature so we opened a window for cooler air to come in but that let in terrible noise from the road and we were then unable to close the window so didn't get a great nights sleep as road is a main road and extremely noisy. Also signage to and from car park not very good. Lucky my partner had stayed there before so know where to go.

Disappointing. Had to wait 45min for breakfast, shower not working properly, no lock on toilet door.Wash basin blocked,

    7ClairePosted on: 3-21-2025

Food and service were excellent. Bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom toiletries were good quality

I would have preferred a stand alone shower rather than a bath shower. 2 bottles of water in the room each night would have been appreciated. Although we really enjoyed our stay, we felt for the area the hotel very overpriced - €130 per night for 2 people would seem more reasonable, we paid €180 per night.

    Disappointing

There was a lot of noise in the bedroom next to me when I arrived and at 3am in the morning which woke me up. It seemed like there was a party of at least 10 people in the bedroom. I mentioned it to the receptionist but it didn't make a difference.

Hotel was shut no power and no back up generator due to storm I was left stranded!

Staff were not helpful and compassionate

    7JemmaPosted on: 1-2-2025

It was in a great location close to airport, nice little town and in easy reach of surrounding towns. The staff made the place. Such a welcoming arrival and nothing was too much trouble. We had to leave before breakfast and the chap on night duty very kindly did us toast and tea before we left on NY day. The rooms were warm and cosy.

It does need a little bit of modernising but keeping its traditional charm. But please change the shower curtains ? The hot water needs looking at in the bathrooms. We had to change first room as the shower did not heat up. The second room it never got hot hot.

    The food

Cold shower, early closing of bar and barman's attitude.

    8RitaPosted on: 11-25-2024

Bedrooms lovely and warm, comfy bed. Lovely friendly staff. Great breakfast.

Main part of hotel a little chilly but it is an old building, rooms were warm so that was good. Had a BLT for lunch would have been nice if there was some bacon in it. Had roast for dinner was beautiful (apart from pesto on my plate, I don't personally believe pesto goes with a roast dinner but that's just me). Beds could be at a minimum king size but the standard double was very comfortable.

Room a little tired- bathrooms clean but old
