Hotel Suave Mar

We loved our stay at Suave Mar! It was even more beautiful than in the photos. Very friendly staff, great location, clean and spacious room and lots of communal spaces. Terrific view from room of pool area and balcony too. Highly recommend!!

Directly on the coastal Camino Portuguese. Room was clean and comfortable.

The hallways could use a freshening but are ok.

The courtyard, pools, and property were beautiful. The rooms were very simple but comfortable and large. Breakfast was good.

I was surprised with the price I paid for a hotel that there were no coffee etc in the rooms. While no one was rude, none of the staff were particularly warm and personable compared to any of our other stays. The water in the showers was either hot or cold, and no matter how slowly you turned or how long you waited, there was an abrupt change in temperature from too hot to too cold. Finally, the coffee and tea maker at the breakfast buffet was lukewarm. It hardly brewed the tea.

You could tell it was low season and the staff don't really care to much atm. No complimentary water in de standard rooms.

Breakfast was great with good choice in buffet. The pool was lovely with lots of sun beds and staff attentive.

Views of ocean. Comfy bed , very kind staff especially “Carly” at breakfast.private Balcony looking out on ocean where we had tapas and wine we brought to room. This was delightful as it was pouring rain and our balcony was dry!

Ridiculously tiny rooms. Couldn’t even open suitcase. Have to walk sideways between bed and desk . Old bathroom. Entire hotel must have been amazing 20 years ago. A serious update is needed. Would then be a 10 +

Everything was clean everything was professional. Everything was very, very nice. Especially the food in the restaurant was fabulous. And very well priced.They allowed us to check in quite early.

Luxurious and welcoming - that’s the way I like it! Staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The room had a pool view which beckons you to take a dip. Very spacious room with a bathroom to match. The property is fairly large hotel but it felt like being in a small boutique hotel specializing in luxury and comfort. Had a few hidden spaces with billiard table, tennis court and a spa. It is pricier than most of the places I stayed in during my Camino but it is well worth it. Beautiful view of the sunset.

Although there was a decent place to eat nearby, the better ones were a hike. But that’s a good thing, right? Walk the calories away.

Great location for the Camino Portuguese. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Our server Nuño was excellent and took very good care of us.

Beautiful property! Comfortable beds, breakfast was delicious, swam in there gorgeous pool even though it was not heated.

Good view from terrace. Close to Camino trail. The bathrooms were recently rehabbed and were nice. Pools looked nice but we got in too late to try them out.

Very clean rooms & property, they were constantly cleaning and we appreciated it. Great amenities, awesome location (right on the Camino if you are hiking), well managed, great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!
