Hotel needs some freshen up

The room was an actual suite and it was large enough for my family of five. The breakfast was also really convenient and really good.

Felt like a family run guest house in a town close to Lucerne . Had an elevator and free parking that was a big factor for us - family of 6

Not many facilities provided eg water jug tea kettle etc . Breakfast was very basic .. not much choices for fresh fruits ..felt expensive for the price

The Kreuz in Malters is a historic treasure in Malters, 3 generations. Very fine Restaurant, wood panels, fine cuisine.Very friendly and highly skilled staff. Owners are completely involved.

A few rooms are towards main street.

Located in a small town close to Luzern. The staff is very welcoming and the breakfast was good.The hotel itself is close to Malters train/bus station.

Room lights should be improved. The placement and yellow color lights give a bit depressing vibe.Additionally, electric kettle in the room would have been nice for some coffee

Breakfast was simple but good.The family room was big enough for five people—very spacious, even. It felt like it could have fit one more single bed, but I think it’s good that they didn’t add one. The room was clean, the bed sheets felt fresh, and there were no obvious signs of neglected areas.The location is decent. It’s a bit far from the city, but close enough if you’re visiting by car. Having free parking is definitely a plus.

My only complaint regarding cleanliness was the curtains. Although they didn’t have any stains, they felt like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and since my bed was next to two of them, it really triggered my allergies.Two of the bedroom windows couldn’t close their shutters properly without improvising support for the handle.The beds were not made, so we had to put on the sheets ourselves. Not a huge problem, but still a bit annoying since we arrived quite late.

Location, 4 mins from the train station

Very hot rooms. Even with 2 fans the rooms were very hot. No AC. Standard breakfast. No option of fried or assembled eggs, only boiled eggs.

Breakfast was good, beds very comfortable, awesome terrace. Great location one train stop from Luzern.

We stayed during the 2025 heat wave. We tried to keep the room as pleasant as possible but it was pretty warm. There are fans to help (and they work well!) but it still got pretty warm.

It’s right above tve train station in superb village and the accommodation is quiet and super clean!

The staff could be more welcoming and smiling .. also not such strict when it comes to request something

Breakfast is very nice and had several choices. Many kinds of bread and cheese especially. We also had dinner at their restaurant. They have very nice traditional foods and great desserts.We will definitely come back in the future.

Breakfast? ! A bad joke!Some slices of salami brought at our request... for 4 people he brought us a tomato cut into 8 slices!...Moreover, cold in the room and in the bathrooms.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Very clean, very friendly, I had a short but great stay. I was on a last minute trip to Luzern, and enjoyed the night at Hotel Kreuz. Don't expect modern equipment, but expect a comfortable bed, a clean place in a good location, and very friendly staff. I can fully recommend this place.

There's no downside in this hotel, great quality for the price!

Malters is well located a few KM from Luzern. Super easy to access via Train or Car. The hotel is well maintained , nice personel , great breakfast and Diner. Malters has multiple options for Diner so highly recommend it if you need to stay close to Luzern , Pilatus.

Bathroom ( Toilet and shower ) was small but functional. Sink in the bedroom. But it works fine for us.

The staff make Hotel Kreuz one of the loveliest stays you can have. They are very friendly and extremely helpful.

The surcharge for the pet should be clearer. I do not mind at all that I had to pay extra for the dog as it makes sense (it is more cleaning, potential mess etc.) but the price should just be clear before. No one will have a problem with paying it, it is just nice to know beforehand what to expect.
