    Pros +

    • The location is amazing and self check in is easy The view is great and the room is above the main street We didn't find the noise a big problem but we didn't spend the weekend there so we don't know,
    • The room itself is adequate, and the view of the old port and the sea from the balconies is absolutely exceptional. This stunning view makes up for the shortcomings, and overall the place is still recommendable.

    Cons -

    • The wi fi was weak sometimes didn't work
    • Spon Boutique Hotel is not really a traditional hotel, as there is no front desk service and no breakfast provided – it feels more like a short-term studio rental. The internet connection is very poor, almost unusable, and the rooms are located on the second floor without an elevator, which might be inconvenient for some guests.
    • Steep stairs, no contact with anyone, too warm in the room

Great location, but no parking and very noise. Did not bother me, as I was going to bed after 5 am. If I had travelled with my girlfriend (as originally planned), we would not have the quiet intimate moments we usually expect and experience. However, I knew about the area, so I was not taken by surprise.

The aircon puzzled me at the start, but I called the contact number and the friendly staff explained it to me.

Awesome, awesome location and fantastic sea view!

Biggest and only downside was the noise and music from the street and bars below and around the hotel. Sound proof windows would solve the noise issue!!

Clean, close to everything, and best view.

    Nice view from the balcony

The hotel is located above restaurants and bars on the main road. It was very noisy even around 1 am. Not a recommended place if you want to go to sleep before that. No breakfast and no coffee option in the room.

Killer view, worth going to this hotel for

No hot water in the shower. Tried to call staff, but didn't get through. Place could use some TLC to do its amazing location justice

This charming small boutique hotel is perfectly situated in the old Venetian Port. My room was nice as for the solo traveler, who don't neet big space. With a lovely, tranquil design and a balcony offering stunning side view of the harbor. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Although it was a cold weather, the room was quite warm. As I visited out of season, the town was quiet, ensuring peaceful nights. However, given the central location and proximity to bars, it might be livelier in the summer. The hotel also has its own Cafe Bar, offering a wide selection of drinks, and with a very nice staff.

It has the picture postcard view. While there is a lot of activity in the location, there are double glazed windows that make it ok. I still used ear plugs and heard nothing. The breakfast offered was delicious and so plentiful that I was unable to do it justice. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the linens lovely. Georgia communicated very well. Would recommend without hesitation.

It would be great if there was a bracket to hold the hand shower, but it isn't a deal breaker

The photograph might make you believe that this view is guaranteed: it ain't. The balcony turned out to be shared with the next room though that was not occupied. We thought the breakfast was good. It's ready selected items including meat. I'd have given my customers the choice over the meat! Nearby restaurant Capt Cook really excellent. We were given complex instructions to find our room only to discover we'd been directed to the wrong room! The nice lady at the bar downstairs helped resolve the problem. Comfy bed. Central location right by the harbour but noisy!

The bedroom was definitely small, and the bathroom was tiny and not suitable for anyone large. The area is very noisy from the endless traffic. Cars, and motorbikes on cobbled streets make a hell of a din.

Great location, good sized room, comfortable bed. Owner very helpful in responding to any queries.

Only drawback is noise from bars below. I was fine as used to using earplugs, but if you’re a light sleeper and/or don’t use earplugs could be an issue

    2RayPosted on: 9-30-2024

The breakfast was reasonable however it was a little off putting to say that we are only allowed one cup of coffee. We are also tea drinkers and they did not have any regular tea.

The wifi didn’t work which caused a lot of inconvenience. The manager knew it was an issue but they obviously have not done anything to fix it. The remote for the tv didn’t work from the bed - had to stand up every time to change channels or adjust the volume. The shower was also tiny. The stairs to the room were also tight and difficult to take a suitcase up.

The facility is located in the center. Cozy room with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Delicious, big breakfast.

The room has an amazing view of the port. Definitely it’s best selling point. It was also nicely decorated and well appointed with slippers, extra blankets, towels, toiletries, etc. Remote check-in was great because we ended up getting in late due to travel delays. Georgia was amazingly helpful and I’m very grateful for her patience as our arrival time kept getting more and more distant. The location is very close to the beaches that we visited daily, but perhaps too centrally located, after all. Were it not for the night club below (and those directly adjacent), this hotel is easily an 8 out of 10. I would only recommend booking outside of summer season (when I guess the clubs don’t stay open as late/close for the season) or if you’re staying out late most nights and/or don’t have trouble sleeping with noise.

Unfortunately the booking.com listing does NOT make it clear enough that the room is directly above a nightclub open until 3am every night (at least in the summer season). When Georgia explained that there will be excessive noise, we could do nothing but accept it (as we had a non-refundable room), hoping that the advertised “soundproofing” would dampen out the music, traffic and people below. Unfortunately that was definitely not the case and every night there was excessively loud noise from the club until past 3am. It’s worth noting that the “excessive noise” is only pointed out by booking.com on the confirmation email (unless I missed it noted somewhere else?), once you’ve already made your reservation. It’s also worth noting that “cafés” are not typically understood by British people to be nightclubs (the booking.com listing describes it as a “cocktail bar/restaurant”, and NOT a night club). If I had known, I would 100% not have booked. Perhaps if we had visited during off-season, then we would have had a much more quiet and therefore enjoyable stay.

    Nice location

Owner tried to scam us by saying we did not pay yet even though we did up front.

    5MarioPosted on: 8-14-2024

    The location was fantastic .

Forget about sleeping as the music level downstairs will keep you up till after 3.00 amWhen I told the lady about this I was told to use ear plugs. The reason I mention it is I wish someone had done for me as I wouldn’t have booked if I knew. The other thing was the internet info given didn’t work. The toilet/shower is made for a midget.

    7ChristosPosted on: 8-5-2024

Location. Right at the heart of everything. Breakfast was excellent too.

Noise. It’s at the center of the old port with all the bars around, staying open until 3:00. We got used to it after a while and we did not mind as much as we were also out until late. However if you are older or a light sleeper you may not like this property. Ear plugs provided by the accommodation though.
