Pros +
- Panorama Hotel Rheinkrone was a lovely stay near the Rhine in Andernach. First off, the staff were wonderful and the customer service was excellent. The room was large and had everything we needed including a fan. In the evening, there was a nice breeze and we opened the window with the curtains closed. With the fan, we were very comfortable. The room was very clean had nice places to set luggage. I also enjoyed the art throughout the halls. The location is excellent and just across the street from a walking and bike path and the Rhine. We enjoyed walking and running on the paths. Andernach is just on the other side of the hotel and we enjoyed the restaurants, gelato, and shops in town. From Andernach, we visited the area by train including Koblenz and Castle Eltz. The hotel is a short 15 minute walk from the train station. It was such a great value for the cost. All was wonderful and we had such a lovely stay!
- Location: across the road from the park & river; right next to the gate leading to the old city; reasonably-priced public parking near the hotel.Good breakfast.Polite and helpful receptionist/waiter.
- The owner, Kumar, was a wonderful host. He helped us with our room and storage for our bicycles. Breakfast was a feast - yoghurt, granola, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, omelettes, pastries, freshly baked croissants, fruit juices, coffee, tea, juices.
Cons -
- We booked the "Apartment" which in fact consisted of two separate units and a shared bathroom (shared with a third unit on the same floor, which was unoccupied during our stay but the bathroom cannot be locked so if someone else had been staying there, privacy would not be ensured). The three units and bathroom are accessed from a hall , the door to which also could not be locked. One of the units enabled only restricted / dangerous movement because of the way the building is constructed - narrow passage, sloped ceiling, and poorly visible bits of construction protruding from the floor (i.e. easy to stumble on or hit one's foot). Entry door to the hotel had a partly dysfunctional self-closing mechanism. When guests entered the hotel and did not make actively sure to close the door behind them, the door tended to stay open i.e. anyone from the street could walk in at night (entry is separated from the restaurant's bar which doubles as the reception, i.e. it is possible to get in without being seen by staff of the hotel).
- ? Nothing comes to mind.
- The room decor feels unusually dark and uninviting. There is no wardrobe provided, only a few hangers, which limits storage options. While the room is a good size, the space is not utilized effectively—for instance, the TV is placed on the desk rather than mounted on the wall. Additionally, the bedsheets are made of an unusual fabric that does not meet standard hotel expectations.

Friendly staff, great location, breakfast facing out to the Rhine, hotel was spotlessly clean, bed really comfortable, a great place to stay, very close to shops and cafe and a 10minute stroll to the station.
Nicely located at the riverfront, good parking area next to the hotel. Hotel just reopened after a complete refurbishment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. ???
? Nothing comes to mind.
The location is excellent, and the owner/manager is very kind and made a great effort to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast offered a decent selection, and both the rooms and bathroom were clean.

The location was great. Across the street there's a garden along the river with bunches, tables... In the back street, few minutes away, there are a lot of restaurants and bars where you can eat and drink some.
There were carpentry works going on and you could see tools everywhere at the ground floor. There was no elevator so I had to carry my two heavy suitcases up to the second floor by stairs.
Will be a good hotel when it’s finished
The noise outside the hotel by youths was unbearable. There was no aircon which meant we had to have windows open No kettle. No hangers. No breakfast.
It is located next to the river side, at the gate of the old town. This is very convenient as any restaurant in old town is max 5 - 10 min walking. Also the main train station is 15 min walking, same for big shops like Rewe and Lidl. In the same time the river park is right in front of the hotel. Perfect for walking and jogging. The room was clean and the bed convenient. Also clean and comfortable bathroom with a shower cabin. Suitable desk if you need to work and also small minibar fridge where you kan keep drinks and small food.
The room was last floor and during that time of the year due to the heat was a bit too hot. There was a vent which was making the situation slightly more bearable. The roof is well isolated but still from the small balkony the heat was penetrating. Not suitable for people who can't bear hot weather. It was a bit noisy from the pigeons in the morning, but not too much, could be an issue for people who are more sensitive to such kind of noises.
Great location right across from the Rhine.
Where to start. We didn’t know until we arrived that the hotel was being remodeled and a construction site downstairs. The only staff member-who was only present when called over the phone- spoke very little English and no German. We had a small apartment with two rooms. Beds were clean. The bathroom smelled, had multiple light fixtures that didn’t work and a banged up door. The free wifi was spotty and very slow.
Bad
The property was under repair and it was dusty and unclean throughout the hotel.
The location is near the river Rhein
It wasn’t clean and stinky
Never again
The man checking us in gave us 2 keys for the 3 rooms and wouldn’t give us the third set of keys or clarify where the room was. We ended up climbing several flights of stairs and looking around for empty rooms. The carpets were very dirty. Generally the place wasn’t very clean.
only and only location
room was horrible, bathroom was like under construction, carpet was dirty, bed was with hairs, shampoo was nearly empty, breakfast was simple, etc.
The location - beautiful: near the old city gate and looking onto the Rhine.
I liked everything
I arrived late, like 2 AM, because I had travel delays. I appreciated that they checked me in at that late time.
There wasn't really anything I did not like.
The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Everything was very clean
The room was old and not very well preserved
We got the appartment on top floor. Was a bit dated, but lots of space for our family of 5. The hotel is very close to the Rhein river
The hotel is a bit dated.
The hotel is placed close to the Rhine in cozy Andernach
Had promised a baby bed, was not there at arrival. Appartment was actually 2 smaller appartments, where you will not let your kids sleep alone in one of them.Steep stairs up to the appartment. No refrigerator in appartment.Very warm place in Summer time with no A/C.
Good breakfast
wrong information in their website „Apartment“ with 2 single beds but in the description it said 2x French Queensize beds and 2x single beds also the room was not for 6x people only for 4x and the pictures are not clearly the room that they give!!! it’s completely different type of room and it was horrible
