Pros +
- I like everything, beautiful place to stay, very comfortable, nice breakfast every morning was bringing to our D’Home, beautiful views, I’m planning to come back next year
- Location of the kota cabin is next to piste, great bonus. The facilities are great. There was plenty of breakfast so we usually saved some of it for lunch!Baggage service very helpful. We asked for more milk and then were brought a whole bottle each day!
- Abolutely loved the stay here, wish we could have stayed longer. The little chalets are very well considered in terms of design and facilities, the bed is so comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The staff were very freindly and accommodating, I would highly recommend!
Cons -
- I liked everything
- We booked under the agreement that parking was provided but they withdrew it before we arrived. It cost us quite a bit to park locally. You will have to research prices to decide which parking to choose as they differ in price. We chose underground PK1 in 1650.
- I think for the price you're paying you should have access to the spa area as part of your reservation, It was very expensive and in my opinion not worth it, especially as one of the saunas was cold. A tiny improvement would be to have something other than plastic wine glasses in the rooms!Be aware - if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you! Lots and lots of steps to the little chalets. Also booking dinner is very confusing - make sure you book in advance, the food is nice but you do have to heat it in the microwave.

The personal was very friendly. The room was big, clean, and comfortable. We had a very nice view and we enjoyed having a bath close to the bed.
There are just plastic dishes in the room. It could be more pleasant to have a morning coffee from a glass one. Breakfast was poor, it could be better for the price of the stay.
Staff was really welcoming and helped us with the luggage. Sensational experience to stay in a accommodation like this. we really enjoyed it. Being close to nature but don't have to miss any luxury.
The Hotel was a bit hard to find. It would have been lovely, being able to choose a bit more, what we wanted to have for breakfast.
Clean and cosy - Breakfast at the cabins in a hamper was nice as it means you can relax in the morning at your own pace
Lots of steps - not that we would say this is a downfall, just take it into account before booking if you're elderly or disabled. The annoying thing for us was that the spa was not included in the price which we have never encountered at a hotel before! Usually hotel guests enter for free and the public pay to enter. You also had to book a slot which weren't informed of when we checked in, which meant we booked to stay at a spa hotel but couldn't actually use it!
The hotel is in a great location, surrounded by nature. I ws there in the summer and it was fun ti sleep hearing the nearby waterfall. They bring breakfast to the cabin in the morning.
The AC was noisy as it is an add on rather than inbuilt in the cabin. Bringing the suitcases to the cabin also involves waiting around by the parking lot for the cart to pick you up, and the cart is only available until 7 pm. .
Incredible location, the dome was fabulous; a real luxury experience!! The breakfast was wonderful! The staff were fantastic; super friendly and very attentive! They were amazing. View to die for!!
Large and really large ants! On the floor and tables. We couldn’t sleep well because of them.
The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. I slept well. Peaceful place. As a Nordic person, I'm used to a more versatile breakfast. The breakfast basket was still a wonderful idea. The spa closes early.
The staff were so friendly and wonderful. They met us at the car park to greet us & transported our heavy bags to our spectacular dome. These domes are so cool! Ours had a glorious view & a luxurious bath tub in it! There was also a fancy hammock on the terrace, which was lovely to lay on, with a glass of wine. The shower was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and they even had shoe heaters in the dome. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were kind enough to organise a beautiful welcome gift for us which was so delicious! 10/10
Perfect location for ski in and out, settled between the 1650 and the 1800 village so central without any of the noise. Right on a green run down to a chairlift, ski storage, boot dryers in the room, amazing views, spacious rooms, breakfast delivered to the room each morning. Loved it!
The room, the spa, the breakfast
Lack of Variety for breakfast (excellent viennoiserie though), lack of attention to rules being followed on the spa. Would have liked the room to be cleaned more regularly (can ask for it, but would be nice if it was automatically done daily)
He had high expectations for our stay in one of the Geodesic domes at Alpin D’Home. The staff was very friendly. The view from our terrace was quite nice, while others are blocked by trees. The interior finishing was good. The breakfasts were satisfactory and sufficient. However, we did not enjoy the Geodesic dome itself.
The most significant problem was the lack of fresh air, because there are no windows that open. The A/C unit did not work well, and in any case, such units do not bring in fresh air. So, we needed to get up at night a couple of times to open the door to let in some fresh air. These domes may work quite well in cold weather. But if you like fresh air, then you will not enjoy your stay in one of these. We were also puzzled by the high cost for use of the spa area. All other accommodations that had such spas included their use in the price of the stay. In this case, the cost of the stay was higher than most, and yet, the use of the spa was an extra charge, and limited in time of use. Something that the owners might want to reconsider.
Excellent view, breakfast and staff!
Really nice place, very quiet (at least in October). Super cute little dome hut.
Breakfast could have something warm/hot.
Great location, staff, walking distance activities, design of the cocoon, cleanliness, view.... simply a great experience to be in touch with nature, have extra curricular activities and a place for families and couples to enjoy. Can't wait for their spa to be ready.
outside deck was nice & afternoon sweets
View was clearly not on montains as shown on the website, but on the road. Domes are way to close one from the other, we don't really feel close to nature there. Finally, claiming 4 stars and discovering fly traps over the bed is clearly not the best...
The igloo shaped domes are extremely comfortable, well designed and furnished. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the experience...
The one regret was the lack of snow to complete the picture though to be expected this time of year...
Very friendly staff! Domes were as shown in the pictures! Very cosy duvets! Very clean! Delivery Service worked very smoothly..
The menu is not adjustable for vegetarians! Peeping noice from fuse box kept me awake through the night. Wifi was not working. After dinner were no dishes (plastic dishes) left so that we had to clean some with soap for breakfast. In this Price Range just a few things that you don’t expect to compromise on…
The view from our Dome was unobstructed !Short walk to the ski station, with supermarket and several restaurants and shops.
