Hotel Sternen

1st floor room was noisy due to passing by traffic. Ok when windows closed but with warm weather needed to keep windows open

Great location, nice room.

With construction underway, it felt deserted and strange. I would have appreciated knowing about it beforehand. Breakfast is served in one of 3 hotels, depending on number of guests. It would have been nice to know which one to go to.

Bad

The hotel is a building site. I tried to change the dates of our reservation (before our stay) from 7 to 5 nights and the system wouldn’t allow it. The staff and superiors were unhelpful and wouldn’t refund me for the 2 days we didn’t use. The hotel is separate from the main hotel, so meals and amenities are not in the same building. Rooms are very basic with nothing on the walls (depressing). The cleaning of the rooms was poor with no refills of shampoo/soap. Breakfast is poor quality and really not what I would expect for the price. Definitely won’t be staying in Sternen or Krone hotels in the future.

I choose not to stay as I had tested Covid +, was advised to stop the Via Alpina hike I was doing. Also I wouldn’t want to bring risk of infection to a hotel.

Having asked if property would provide a refund, they declined. Fine, given the free cancellation period had passed, but a gesture of goodwill of some sort would have been appreciated. I will not choose to stay at the hotel when I’m able to resume the hike.

Room was recently refurbished and nice.

Staff was non existent. Entire building was under construction. Also a crowd of people entered the hotel around 2 am and were very loud and came into our room. I had to yell at them to leave.

Easy check in. Clean. Quiet.

Kind of weird to have it all digital and never see anyone from the hotel for questions, etc. We did eventually meet one of the employees there but it was odd.

Newly renovated, well appointed apartments. They are basic but there is good quality where it’s needed ( bed, bathroom, kitchen)

The parking was a bit haphazard. going out for the day you were not sure you would find a spot on your return.

Room was very clean and modern, hotel in perfect location in the middle of the village. Check in and out was seamless, breakfast very nice.

Nothing, everything was perfect for this price.

The room decor is nice and the beds are comfy.

In the summer the hotel was like abandoned - no reception staff at all until you make a phone call and wait. We were promised tourist passes to attractions and train - we never got them despite calling the staff. We were not informed that breakfast is served in ANOTHER hotel so we missed it. Dont let the pictures fool you - the hotel has no amenities- it's bare room, no communal areas or sport facilities at all. If we weren't desperate we would have chosen a different place.

Perfect location, free parking, the facilitéis are the best quality and beautiful stylish disseny, good breakfast

Nottiing..! everything was excellenr and over my expectaciones

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Good location near restaurants.

There was no one present at check in - just picked up keycard at a desk. Breakfast was not on location but at a nearby restaurant.

The cleanliness of the place is second to nothing. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom modern and sparkling clean. We didn't see much staff but the people on the phone were friendly when we called to let them know we are arriving past check-in times. The breakfast was in another building and pretty good. We traveled with a 5 month old baby and, apart from two mini steps at the entrance, did not feel any extra work was needed (good sound insulation, roomy areas, baby cot set up before we arrived, high chair already at the breakfast table).

All complaints are just details that would have made our stay just a tiny bit better. There was a shampoo/shower gel combo in a sachet - I personally dislike those. The parking lot is just a flat space around the building with no lines, so if one car parks badly or there is a snow pile, there is less space to park. The wifi was spotty in our room but otherwise fast.

Disappointing

Broken or not fully functioning coffee machine . Poor attention to customer. Weird smell in the room. Bathtub/ jacuzzi in the bedroom which started by itself. Little sachet of soap.

The kitchen was perfect

Very low bedTV wasn‘t working an we had to call twice for helpWeird furniture 2 years ago my daughters and I had a lovely Appartement in the main building of Sternen, this time we were in a building opposite Very disappointed

Super location in the middle of the village, newly renovated and nice atmosphere.

No staff at all at the hotel and the concierge service does not work. We had an issue with one bed the first night and could not reach anybody.

Price for value is excellent. We stayed in a Studio with a small kitchenette which was great as all restaurants were closed due to Corona. Kitchenette has some essential dishes, olive oil, salt etc.

The hooks for towels need to be added in the bathroom. The bed was weird without a bed head.

The available kitchen was a plus, with the family group for a very nice apero and then … a happy dinner just from the shop nearby
