    Pros +

    • The hotel is gorgeous, smaller than I expected from pictures but I liked how cozy it is. Right in front of the beach and in the cutest town.
    • Old building is gorgeous and the decoration was beautiful. Nice views of the bay.
    • It's a very nice hotel, with very comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms. The breakfast area and breakfast are fantastic.

    Cons -

    • It was amazing in general. Minor things our window shade was broken in the loft and they did not fix it. They told us a reso was made at the spa and it wasn’t. But concierge was incredibly nice and helpful with other resos and taxi booking. Restaurant and staff was accommodating to our active four year old. It is probably one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed.
    • Beach area was a bit crowded but still comfortable and well serviced.
    • My only negative comment about the hotel is that the pictures show a beach, but it turns out there's a fee. Even with a 20% discount for hotel guests, it's still expensive. We had to drive somewhere else to swim.

The private beach and general location south of Cannes is unbeatable. You can take the train to other villages, but your secluded from the crowds when you want simple, laid back beach time.

    The private beach is $$$$.

    Location and the building

All requests to the staff were entirely ignored: concierge was supposed to book dinner, took my number and email, never booked or contacted me. Asked for a case for flowers 3 times - never came, even though I tipped the bellhop €20. I called twice for a champagne bucket with ice - never came. I asked for an iron and ironing board. They brought it the next day.I could go on, but you probably get the gist of it.

    Historic building.

Beach area was small and you had to pay for a lounge chair on the beach.

Our second stay at this hotel, which is a beautiful luxury hotel in a lovely part of the South of France. We were a family group of 7. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. They greet you with such warmth whenever you walk through the hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, (we were in the new wing), with all the amenities you could want. The breakfast is delicious. They let us have a late check out for no extra cost for one of the rooms as our return flight was in the evening and we were offered a lift to the train station when we departed which was really unexpected and amazingly helpful.

Very few complaints - small things - there was no hairdryer in one of our rooms and although we went down to reception to ask for one it never arrived. The coffee machine and kettle are great but I would really appreciate some small milk sachets to go with the coffee pods as I don't want only black coffee. But honestly, nothing else.

The staff was very nice from the first contact with them. The breakfast was delicious, I had an omelette, very good. Everything was of high quality. I forgot my jacket in the room when I checked out, and I called them, and I got it back the next day. The location is very beautiful, full of green plants and it is quiet

I'm not sure I got the room I booked. It doesn't look the same as in the reservation, and it seemed smaller than 35sqm...I checked an extra large double bed when booking, and there were actually 2 single beds close together...which after you move a little, the mattresses move apart...I don't understand why if you put a king size bed you wake up with 2 beds...and you check this in special mode. The cost per night was almost 460 eur, quite a lot, not to mention the aspects of the reservation.

Location. Breakfast . Special guest attention in the room for birthday

This chateau!!! The room, the view, the service, the location! Everything!

    10SethPosted on: 10-15-2024

The chateau exceeded our expectations beyond compare. The staff was accommodating to any of our needs and most of all interacted with us like humans, which sometimes at 5-star experiences the staff can be a little stuffy. They engaged with us, accommodated all of our desires, and were helpful when we had to change rooms. My husband and I booked a suite for our honeymoon and after the first night we came to find out there was a plumbing issue. From notice, the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We even got upgraded to the best room :)

If you’re wanting something closer to the action, this is about a 20 minute taxi ride but it was exactly where we wanted to be

The whole property is beautiful, the view from our room was incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful, they even made recommendations for dinner in Nice. It was a genuine vacation. Just removed enough from bigger cities/towns, but still had access to do a shopping day, etc. Also had everything we needed within a few blocks. Highly recommended! It wasn’t very full (first week of October) but the weather was still great, we spent a few days at the beach and really got to enjoy the spa and pool! The glass double shower was so nice, sometimes hotels try for this and they’re very poorly designed (it does have a curtain if you don’t want the person lounging in bed to see you!)

    9ShayPosted on: 10-7-2024

We really liked the design, the rooms, we had 3 rooms, the food was perfect, the private beach was perfect, the staff led by the reception manager Mrs. Fanie....

Our room smelled like sewage throughout our stay. Our room number 6 and the problem was not solved. The gym was damp and moldy

    6SylviaPosted on: 10-6-2024

The hot tubs - the only thing open!

Aircon didn’t work in the rooms; the gym was closed for our entire stay due to flooding; the private beach was closed for most of our stay so no towels or cushions for loungers etc. The pool was unheated and also pretty much closed with no towels were available or cushions for loungers. All in all - it was closed. This was despite it being sunny warm weather first week of October.

Beautiful property, excellent location. Fantastic service across the property but a special shout out to the amazing staff at dinner. Helpful concierge with comprehensive recommendations.

Some fittings in the bathrooms are already showing signs of wear and tear, hopefully robust upkeep and maintenance will be done to maintain the look and feel of the place.

    5Yu-hsuanPosted on: 9-3-2024

    Decent room, overall beautiful establishment

Need to reserve dinner way beforehand, 24 hours considered short; hard to find a staff during the day at the pool, service was meh and room service was poor with limited food selection.

Chateau de Theoule was the perfect summer getaway for me and my partner. We absolutely loved every single moment of our stay and had the best memories to cherish at this place. Starting from the beautiful staff who were so accommodating to our every need and their warm hospitality and smiles that made us feel spoiled and joyful every day. The breakfast was impeccable with the most gorgeous view on the terrace. The room we stayed in was flawless with attention to details and stunning decor and design. We enjoyed the pool as well as their private beach. It was my partners Birthday and they have surprised us with a bottle of Rose and lovely Bday note when we arrived in our room. Honestly, not only the facilities and chic design of the Chateau, but the staff as well made our stay here enchanting. We definitely look forward to stay there again.

This was an incredible hotel that was unique to any experience we've had. It offered top-notch service and the set and setting were just immaculate, considering it's a stunning castle on the French Riviera. The staff were superb and every detail was impressive.

The only negative about the hotel was that it was very expensive. However, the price was met with fantastic service and accommodations and it was a totally unique experience staying in a castle.

    We liked the gorgeous property.

Although we stayed in the room with an amazing balcony and an incredible looking bathroom with double shower heads the shower didn’t have a door and completed flooded our entire bathroom and even flooded into our bedroom. When we got in I thought it was strange they had rolled a towel to serve as a door to keep the water in the shower area. After our shower we got out and 1/4 of our room was flooded with water!! It even got our suitcases and belongings wet! I’m not sure why there was no door in the shower to keep the water in. Additionally, we didn’t like the hours this property provides. They won’t check you into your room until 4pm and they want you to check out by 11am. Also, the pool was only open 10-7pm so we weren’t able to enjoy that amenity. Due to the price we paid for this establishment I’m giving it a very low review. It is not worth the price.

The hotel building is gorgeous and the staff were extremely nice. The most outstanding part of our stay was the meal in Mareluna. It was exceptional.

For such a new and luxurious hotel, the fixtures and fittings felt disappointingly cheap. The hotel is only open a few months and already there are signs of wear and tear, scuffed paintwork in the bathrooms etc. It wouldn’t stop me staying again but I would guess that the hotel will have to redo or replace finishes before too long which is a shame.
