About
This charming, historic hotel – a former palace dating from the 16th century – is located in the picturesque town of Galdeano, at the foot of Navarra’s Sierra de Lóquiz mountains. Enjoy the Renaissance feel of the Palacio Dos Olivos, which has been carefully restored to blend its historic façade with a contemporary-design interior. It opens onto beautiful gardens, from where you can take in the fresh air, peaceful atmosphere and fantastic views of the local countryside. These natural surroundings, include the Urbasa nature park.

Cons -
- No hot drinks available at the property in the evening - a real inconvenience when there are no facilities available either in the village. Could not get a WiFi connection in the attic room
- breakfast could have been a bit better
- On arrival there was a keypad to open the door. No staff until next morning . It seemed very unused.

Amazing view - superb building with grounds Fantastic terrace
The surroundings and beautiful landscape. It was really peaceful. Bathroom and room very clean. Big double bed.
We didn't have AC in our room although the temperature was cool at night (August) and there was a big fan for the hot hours during the day that we spent in the room.
The Landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. The palace itself is very charming. The room was spacious and comfortable. Absolutely wonderful.
Not a word against it!
The building.
The location: Nothing around, next to the graveyard. No staff at all.
Beautiful property overseeing the region. Standing view and very quiet area.
No restaurants in the hotel or in the area The closest are in Estella (15min drive)
We spent 3 nights at this hotel and everything went great for us. The building is stunning and the views were amazing!! There is a gorgeous bell tower right next to the hotel which brings loads of birds around it. The rooms were very spacious and fresh even though there is no Air con. Mariana, the only staff at the hotel, was splendid and so helpful with our coffee in the morning, information of the areas and suggesting places to visit. Location was perfect for us, as it is in the middle of the Arbasia National park, Pamplona & Logroño!! We made the most of our time in the area… the kids and the dog loved swimming in the river nearby !!
Not so many options for breakfast but we did manage as well.
Very peaceful location with beautiful views. Rooms were large and spacious and clean and comfortable. And it is good value for the price.
It is quite remote and felt odd that there is no staff around except in the morning. So in the afternoon and evening it feels abandoned. The facilities/decor were not very stylish.
Amazing place and fabulous views all around. With only morning staff on our visit we had the run of the whole castle/monastery(?) when we arrived and for us with a dog was perfect, though some may find it a bit odd there are no staff around. The place is immaculate. Quite extraordinary but in a really good way.
Shame no food/bar open in the village so bring a picnic and if someone there to greet could have been good, I guess...
Amazing building, immaculate and very well maintained to a high standard
No staff at all, very odd. No shops or restaurants so go prepared
View and luxury accommodation
Like staying at the hotel in themovie The Shining - no staff and no light until you enter a space. This hotel could be a true destination If only they offered some services - which they don't- you're pretty much on your own!
The view from the hotel, the environnement and the tranquility. The luxury of the interior.Parking on site free.Price incredible for what you get.
Breakfast should be more elaborate, though one must admit that the price was quite moderate
Lovely views
Was told food and bar available but wasn't, I would not of booked if I had none
The hotel was in beautiful countryside. Comfy beds & very clean.
Restaurant closed, so had to drive to get anything to eat & drink. Breakfast a piece of cold toast with 2 squares of synthetic cheese is not my idea of starting my day. No information given except nearest restaurant. No facilities in the room for tea/coffee & bar open one night with limited drinks. Poor service provided.
Location, cleanliness, silence, bed comfort, kindness of the host
The public areas were beautiful and the setting spectacular. We especially appreciated the books in the lounge on local history etc.
The code entry was a bit dodgy and it would have been nice to see a receptionist. Bedside lights didn't work.
Amazing place, amazing house with a unique atmosphere and a great view to the mountains.
We are sorry we arrived late and could not enjoy the sunset and the place more
Disappointed
No breakfast available. No dinner available - restaurant closed for 5 years - so had to eat in Larrion - 3.5kms away. When we came back, we realized that the bed had a top sheet but no blankets (when the forecast overnight was 7 degrees Celsius). Closet had in it a blanket for a single bed. We had a double bed. No staff around, but my wife found another single blanket sealed in plastic in a storage room along the corridor.
