Excellent and very helpful staff especially Sara at the reception and the gentleman serviced the breakfast for us.Room are very well furnished and it has nice looking at the ocean. The staff met us at the facility door giving us a warm welcome we felt we are home away from home. Thanks to all the staff

The view was wonderful. They had a small room that was used for massages and yoga which was lovely and the breakfasts were good - it was nice to be able to sit outside and dine.

The staff tried to be helpful but was always a step behind. This did not feel like a 5-star hotel on the service front. Also, the bathroom was super small and quite dark. The only mirror was above the single sink in-between two walls at the end of the narrow bathroom - no counter space and the floor beneath the sink kept flooding. Several things in our room didn't work and by the time any of it was fixed, we were leaving.

Very private. The staff was great. Loved the yoga space.

The hotel is in a quiet yet convenient location to explore the island of San Miguel. There is a lovely infinity pool and patio area with opportunities for outdoor dining while listening to the crashing waves below. We were able to reserve a secluded jacuzzi which was a relaxing way to end our day of exploring the island. Joao was extremely helpful in giving us information and directions of where to go on the island, how to park and activities available.

The hotel advertises itself as eco friendly but we felt like a lot of the design issues were more for show than for comfort. The cost of a nights stay was steep and because of this we had expectations similar to other hotels we have stayed at with similar costs. Our room was quite large which was appreciated but it faced an unattractive building and was located above the fan units for the hotel. Our biggest issue was that none of the staff seemed to be enjoying their work and made us feel as though our presence was a burden (with the exception of Andrea at breakfast). And lastly at no other place in Portugal was a tip included before asking if and how much we wanted to tip. This hotel got many glowing reviews but it just wasn't what we were hoping for.

The view was amazing! That said, it was the staff that made our stay so very special. They are amazing (welcoming, warm, personable, professional, attentive and responsive). The staff is the number one asset at Whites!

The property was beautiful. The staff was helpful and so kind. We loved the reservable private hot tub and enjoyed relaxing in our room while we watched and listened to the ocean. The dinner was so delicious.

The bed was a bit too hard and the door knobs are difficult to manage. But they were minor inconveniences.

Unbeatable view. Perched on the edge of the world. Utterly sublime.

Food was subpar, so we opted to go out to eat most of the time. Normally this would be a dealbreaker, but everything else was so fantastic it was worth it.

This is an exceptional location with stunning views. The staff is very attentive, the service is excellent and the food is outstanding including a beautiful breakfast menu. The property is very easy to get to and from with plenty of free parking.We would highly recommend this venue and hope to be back ourselves.

Great location. About 15 mins away from the airport. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is incredible.

Seats next to tv set are not very comfortable. This is the only disadvantage of this location. Otherwise it is perfect.

unfortunately a few things we didn’t like. The room was very dark as there is only one light above the table and two lights on the bed’s sides, and we had to use the flashlights to read. Also, the hotel is advertised as the adult only hotel, but family with younger children stayed above us and disturbed our sleep.

The staff was exceptional friendly, courteous, polite and very helpful. The breakfast was absolute fantastic, wide variety of foods and high quality.

Amazing view from the hotel, you can see and hear the waves from the ocean in your room, which is an amazing experience. Breakfast was tasty and staff was friendly and incredibly helpful in arranging excursions.

Breakfast choices were limited, as were vegetarian dinner options (just one main course). They were out of espresso/ cappucino for one day which is not what I expected from a four star hotel. Also there wasn’t really anything to do within walking distance, and there weren’t any restaurants nearby, so I wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than two-three days if you don’t have a car. The swimming pool was a bit cold and there were things in the pool that really resembled worms… so unfortunately that wasn’t very appealing.

We loved our 1 week stay at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff were truly professionals, friendly and kind. They checked on us regularly and communication was easy via WhatsApp. They all deserve a 10! The hotel itself is beautiful, tastefully designed and with a tranquil vibe. The pool, though small, looks over the ocean and offers the perfect relaxation with an alcoholic drink. Though the room wasn't what we were hoping, it was nice to have a small kitchen - we find it very useful.We also appreciated the evening ritual where they brought some nice herbal tea to our room. Breakfast was lovely too.

I might sound picky but we paid for the room what we would normally pay at 5 stars luxury hotel, and I am afraid it was nowhere near; The room (J2) was very narrow (and long!) and you could barely walk near the bed without bumping your foot into the bed frame. It had very limited space to put your clothes.It had no window, which we found very disappointing as we like to sleep with an open window and hear the ocean, hence why we chose this place. Basically, the entrance door was made from glass and functioned like 'a window' too, but clearly we wouldn't sleep with an open door. It also gave the entire room a dark look as it simply didn't have enough light coming in. The bathroom was tiny with a weird sliding wooden door that gave no proper privacy. We also could have used a trashcan in the room, especially that there is a kitchen in the room. As mentioned, the hotel itself is gorgeous and we enjoyed its public spaces, but it could use a treatment against cockroaches. I totally get its summer and they are outside, but it was unpleasant to see so many of them running around outside the room at night. Finally, the restaurant had very little vegetarian options. We would have dine there more often if the menu was richer. That said, their sister restaurant at their other hotel is really good and we enjoyed our dinner there. Despite the above, we did enjoy our time very much and would probably come back, and just choose a different room.

Hotel was in a good location. Our room was very well appointed and had fantastic ocean views and spectacular sunsets.The property was very clean and modern in style. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Although the hotel was very good we didn't think it was good value for money. The food was not exceptional and although we would be happy to pay extra for the more personal service the actual price difference was too great.
