    Pros +

    • Isolated location, good place to stay on your way back to MAD airport 1.5 hours away. Great restaurant on premises. Not much to do around. Great wine at the same winery/hotel. I would stay here again.
    • The food and wine, comfortable beds, ambience and letting us park motorbike safely.
    • We had late canceled flights, so this was a stop off between Bilbao and Malaga, not planned but an excellent choice in the end (thanks Booking.com). I would say this hotel is eclectic. It has a special sort of décor, old but new but in a good way. Difficult to explain. The bathrooms were all modern and the room a good size. We ate at their restaurant in the evening and had their ‘special’ which was baby lamb and wine from their own vineyard, both excellent. If we had had more time, it would have been nice to stay longer as they have gardens and tours of the vineyard. It is a very small town and the center seems to be this hotel which had a lot of people staying.

    Cons -

    • Showers very good but could do with an anti slip mat as slippery when wet.
    • All was great
    • Beds a bit firm, bar staff never smile !

Wonderful rooms. Very comfortable and a very large and varied breakfast. Enjoyed sampling the wines on a patio amidst the grape vines. Very relaxing. Could not have had a better stay. Would highly recommend

    All was great

Our eighth visit to this hotel on our way down and back from Southern Spain. On our return journey this year we had a wonderful room with a free standing bath. Every room here is a delight and a surprise. Comfortable lounge area and a cosy bar. Breakfast is great too.

The lift wasn't working in the morning but no-one bothered to put a sign up before or after breakfast. We were on the second floor. We are an older couple. The staff were indifferent.

Based in an amazing little hamlet of La Vid at the source of the River Duero.Set in a working winery with a fantastically stocked shop of locally produced wine and delicacies, well worth a visit in the hotel.Easy parking Amazing comfortable rooms based on local Roman themes and facilities were first classThere is a Spa area on the lower ground floor which is bookable at an extra cost.A great stop over on the way to Northen Spain , between North Madrid and Burgos.

Off season, you can book the cafe bar inc tapas and pizza but opened limited hours .There is a restaurant to book however a more expensive offer

Rooms are large and beds very comfortable.

Breakfast was not up to standard. Fruit was rotting, service wasn’t at all friendly and I had to keep asking for things. No ‘normal’ tea bags only fruit infusions and green tea. I had to go back up to the room to get a tea bag from the complimentary tea tray but waiter insisted there were no normal teabags available in the restaurant.

Fabulous quirky rooms, super food, great staff, secure parking.

Breakfast lovely. Restaurant was excellent for evening meal. The room was quirky and spacious - really good. Loved the spa bath and the fun additions. The bar was fab - as was the atmosphere.

Would have liked to have done the wine tasting but there was a wedding on so was not available.

Quirky rooms and nice spa, nice bar area

€25 to go in the spa is a bit pricey

Very nice and comfortable room. Friendly staff. The SPA was amazing.

    8HeatherPosted on: 5-8-2024

The hotel was very good and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Parking close.

The safe in the room didn't work. Had to request the hair dryer. Window shutters were either open or completely down.

    10CliffordPosted on: 4-12-2024

Comfort, location and an excellent stop over on the way to Santander for the ferry. Excellent choice of food and drink. Fantastic spacious bedroom with enormous bed and lovely sitting area. Small balcony facing the vineyards. Very relaxing after a long drive.

    8TiffanyPosted on: 4-10-2024

    Individual style rooms

Some rooms need updating as looking old fashioned with cheap imitation

    9IrenePosted on: 4-6-2024

Lovely hotel. Only stayed one night on route to Bilbao. Spotlessly clean.Buffet breakfast but everything you could want.
