Premiere Classe Angoulême La Couronne

Came for Circuit des Rempartes, good value & facilities , small issues resolved positively by staff.

The person at the desk didn't find our booking of 2 rooms... Took a while to sort it out even with the email names and confirmation number. Apparently happens a lot with their system and booking. Someone try to opened our door in the middle of the night. Drunk probably. Didn't feel very safe... Rooms were not clean, hair on sink and sheets. ?The room on the garden side was super noisy with lound people downstairs till 2 am and highway noises very strong. It was a very short stop before and after a long drive so no energy to ask for a clean room at close to 11pm but really not a good experience...

Helpful staff but worse than a typical Premier classe, the room was dirty and there was a pervasive smell of cigarettes. The toilet flush mechanism was broken. We stay at these to save money crossing Europe back to the UK but after this stay we are going to look for alternatives

Nothing , avoid this place

No Receptionist, I told them by message that I was arriving after midnight and when I got there I had to sleep on the car as no one was there and machines were not working

Reasonable price, beds ok, fairly clean but floors were very dirty. Hotel appears to be a halfway house for people. I have no problem with that as everyone was very nice and quiet. Ideal overnight stop for travelling into Spain at a reasonable price. Would definitely visit again for that purpose.

Appears to be either a halfway house for people or an inbetween rehoming facility. Which I have no issue with at all but others may.

The man at reception was very polite and helpful

We had a double bed and a bank bed. Our bed was fine, but my daughter's the bedding hasn't been changed from the previous people ( hair, jam ) We asked for the bedding and i changed it at 9 o'clock in the evening. While we were so tired from the travel the only thing I wanted to do ,to sleep! And we couldn't switch off the AC at night, tried for 5 min and gave up

At present (Aug 2024), there are two types of room at Premiere Classe: ones that have had a refurb and ones that haven't. This premiere Classe has a lot of refurbished rooms with good showers and excellent Aircon (it was 35 degrees when we arrived). Simple and safe for families with a good enough breakfast.Beds decent.

My wife's room (we were travelling with 3 kids so had to split up) wasn't as newly refurbished but she still slept ok.

The hotel is there for the purpose of travellers and nothing else. Rooms are very tiny, but functional. airco works like a charm, but faucet of the shower was loose. Price is according what you can expect. Is it bad, no. Is it okay, for this price yes. Personnel in the evening and morning was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is what you can expect for this kind of money. Good enough and presentation of the food is functional and clean. Parking is excellent and you can sit outside for breakfast. So yes, for the money it is good. If you want an experience, you need to pay more to get more.

It is low budget and repairs are done accordingly.

Was on a long drive and this place was a fantastic stopover, right next to the highway. Nothing too fancy but allowed dogs, had free parking and was really good value for money. Beds extremely comfortable, room was spotless and shower was excellent - for what I needed it for this was a 10/10 stay.

Location was where we needed, good for a cheap rest your head.

Cleaner walking in 2 hours before check out time whilst still in bed… our room was right at the top of the stairs so you could hear everyone.

Perfect location, staff were polite, good for a stop to sleep a few hours., ok for the price but not the best. But would still recommend and use again if struggling to find a room for a sleep.

Was expecting better space (as in bigger) felt like I was in a box, very, very very limited space, toilet was so small I struggled to turn around.would thought that price would include the breakfast, but no, had a price table for adults and children.

It is a stay for one night , that's a hotel for drivers mostly . Funny ambience but bed was comfortable, shop next door Auchan and antic church just around the corner.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good choice of food and the area was very clean.

The room had dirty areas where the walls met the floor. My husband had more bites when he left than when he arrived. We even considered sleeping in the car.

Nothing poor value

It was so damp water was running down the walls,It was so cold and miserable Luckily for us we had large Halogen heater with us ,which we had to leave on all night to try and dry the place out.Disgusted will never stay again.
