Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives - All Inclusive

The Maldives are gorgeous. The hotel property was beautiful and the staff were all wonderfully kind. Housekeeping went above and beyond to decorate for my birthday. The food was overall quite good, I particularly enjoyed the Arabic and Sri Lankan themed dinners. I really appreciated that the speedboat ride and 2 snorkeling excursions per day were included.

Keep in mind the property is 2.5hr from Male, plan your travel time appropriately. We also wanted to spend most of our time in our stunning above water villa, which made it difficult to get daily housekeeping. Finally, while not bad the Mongolian themed dinner was not my favorite.

Amazing room, just like the pictures they show. Snorkeling activities are out of this planet. Then staff very nice and warm, plus food and service well represent the level of the hotel.One suggestion, really hope they can follow. If they look up at night, it’s clear that a star hunting activity at night with a few telescopes would be a great success. Or a spot with a good telescope would work too. But allowing guests to enjoy the view and be able to learn a bit, would be great.

We realized in the hotel that all-inclusive was quite broad by fact, but did not really include the maximum variety of things the hotel offers. There’s something called “premium all inclusive” that does include a broader package. I would have purchased the same, but simply did not know it existed, as when one buys all inclusive, thinks that’s the broadest combo. Would have liked someone to put it more clearly and offered that to me, or by the contrary, the all inclusive package I bought, to include all. But that’s a small detail, the hotel was fantastic and the staff very very friendly.

It was a delightful stay! Everything was exceptional - food (especially food, omg), service (we felt so special), location, views, etc. We also had our wedding ceremony in this hotel and they organized it in a such an amazing and thoughtful way. It was literally our best vacation, I am speechless, and I want to express special thanks to everyone who was in charge of organizing our wedding ceremony. Great hotel, great service <3

Choosing Cinnamon Hakuraa was the best decision for our Maldives escape. The island is private, with only guests and staff, making it the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beach, and savor delicious food. Staying in a water bungalow was a dream come true, it truly felt like the Maldives experience we always imagined.We were lucky to see dolphins, had our best time at the spa, enjoyed the free snorkeling, and loved watching both the sunset and sunrise, every moment felt magical.The staff made our trip even more unforgettable:•Fairooz from the Restaurant: Warm, welcoming, and attentive at every meal.•Saeed from the Store: Extremely helpful and friendly. It’s a small island resort and there is a certain intimacy about the atmosphere, not to mention the beauty of the location. All the staff were very welcoming and positive. We went in low season and the weather was fine almost all the time (late July, early August). The food quality was exceptional as was the variety of food on offer in the buffet. The water bungalow was very comfortable.

It would be unfair to mention the length of the speedboat trip (more than 2 hours), but it was definitely worth it. If you’re loaded, though, get the seaplane.

It’s a water bungalow, wide ocean views and I got to see all sea creatures all around the island! As it was “All Inclusive”, the food was great and of all varieties! Enjoy it very much!

The villa itself was ok. The food. Even though was not amazing, there was always options for everyone.

I had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately, it missed the mark on several levels.Firstly, cleanliness left much to be desired. The “white” towels were anything but — old, worn out, and greyish. Not something you’d expect from a hotel that claims to offer quality service.The overall vibe of the resort was dull and uninspiring. There was no character or atmosphere to speak of. For the price paid, I expected more than a basic, boring setup with zero attention to detail.Staff interactions felt transactional at best. There was a noticeable lack of care or effort — from housekeeping to front desk, it seemed like no one was truly paying attention.What made it worse was the constant upselling — every day brought a new pitch to upgrade or add something. It was intrusive and frankly, tiring.And let’s talk about the so-called “all-inclusive” package. A mojito? Not included. A cappuccino? Also not included. What exactly was included then? It felt like a misleading gimmick rather than an actual perk.One crucial detail that the hotel fails to mention clearly: the water surrounding the island is extremely shallow, with no proper snorkeling spots. For those expecting the classic turquoise reef experience, you’ll be disappointed. This should absolutely be disclosed in the hotel description.Overall, I wouldn’t return or recommend it. This hotel offers poor value for money and falls short on basic hospitality standards.

the rooms are in excellent condition, everything in the room is thought out to the smallest detail, for a full-fledged vacation, raincoats for rain, vests for swimming, a mini bar also includes everything you need, even a Bluetooth speaker, which also surprised us, is already in the room

We stayed in July 2025 at Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives in the Platinum Island (adults-only) section and had a really special time. The island is beautiful, quiet, and ideal if you want privacy without feeling cut off from the main facilities. Staff across both islands were consistently warm, respectful and caring. The food was excellent throughout our stay and we always felt welcome.A few people made the trip for us, and I want them recognised:• Nilantha from Kandy, Sri Lanka: Very friendly, warm smile, and cooked some standout dishes including some amazing Sri Lankan hoppers with egg. Absolutely lovely person.• Kelum from Sri Lanka: Worked hard every morning preparing del ious food and still made time to cook an omelette with extra spice which became our daily ritual.• Female Chef from Galle, Sri Lanka (sorry I missed your name!): Thank you for the detailed explanation of the Maldivian and Sri Lankan dishes and how to eat them properly. You elevated our food into a food memory.• Hannan from Muli, Maldives: Always friendly and smiling, picked up immediately that we like our tea strong and looked after us all week without hovering and tables cleared like magic.• Husain: Set up a lovely honeymoon welcome — wine, bedspread, neat daily refreshes — and helped with our bags. Always smiling and friendly.• Ismail: Welcomed us on arrival, walked us through the room set-up, and helped resolve a minor A/C issue within the hour. Calm, clear, and solutions-focused.

• Currency acceptance: I understand Maldivian resorts need clean USD notes because their banks sometimes reject damaged currency. That said, the policy here felt overly strict — even lightly creased but otherwise valid notes were refused. The unintended result was that we couldn’t break larger notes to tip the very staff who made our stay so good. A little flexibility would have really helped is show our appreciation to some of the above mentioned staff.• Arrival misstep at Malé: After a 40-hour journey we were told at the airport that the hotel was overbooked and that there were no room was available and we’d need to go to another hotel for a night. After some insistence, the team found a solution and got us to our booked room. We were grateful it was resolved — but it’s a stressful first touchpoint that’s worth tightening up.

The “sunset” water bungalow didn’t face the actual sunset—view was from the side.The all-inclusive menu could use more variety and quality.Drone use was completely prohibited; it would be better to allow it in designated areas instead.

Despite the hiccup we had at arriving, I must admit that the rest of out stay was amazing! The fornt desk lady that checked us in made us feel welcome and taken care of. The overwater villa was stunning, super clean and with amazing views! The food was delicious, the view from the reaustarant was perfect. We had a dinner on the beach and Sundan went above and beyond to make our night to be unforgetable. The Balinese massages we got at the spa were very relaxing amd refreshing. The whole ambience at the resort was extraordinary. The rest of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite. We had an amazing time. The ocean water was perfect! Highly recommend!

Every thing was amazing . The stuff were super friendly. Shifaz our waiter did a great job . The housekeeping guy was soo nice unfortunately i dint get his name?. Over all had a great experience

Well organized property,well trained staff, perfect environment, fascinating excursions, especially the dolphin safari, we enjoyed every moment there

The transportation time was not so friendly for our flight time, but they organized it well, so it not counted as a disadvantage

Fantastic experience all around... from food options and quality, to activities, to facilities. Staff was great, we were on the Platinum Island (adults only). Very private. Far from main Island Male, so no planes overhead. The games area has ping pong, chess, darts, billiards. Nice gym and great pools. Clean and well-maintained throughout. Once again, the food was spectacular. It was a dream.

Amazing hotel, amazing staff, more peaceful island which was lovely! A big thank you to the resort manager who knew we messed our flights up so upgraded us to the private beach club which was very nice and kind. Also thank you Shifaz our waiter was lovely. All the staff spa are great! I would come here again ?

Only one minus - electricity generator on a daytime is a bit annoying, nighttime is calm. I wish they could fix it.

The room was amazing, exactly as pictured. The view from the room, looking directly at the ocean, hearing the ocean as we woke up was incredible. The staff was super helpful and the food was good. It's a really nice place for a quiet couples vacation, or a family (with all adults). During my stay there were no children (some babies but super quiet). There is entertainment only at night and for me that's great because you're basically left to do whatever you want. There's 2 daily trips to snorkel that are included and we loved it.

Everything was great just keep in mind that the island is quite far from the airport. We took the plane and it adds to the cost of the stay I'd seen some comments about there not being a lot of sand on the beach (in some parts you can feel the cement). That was true, it didn't make our experience worse though

The Spa, restaurant and Water sports staff were amazing . Special thanks for Purnia for the amazing massage , and Dinda , who was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel did a good choice in hiring people from Bali in order to provide authentic Balinese massage .

Overall , the resort and its facilities are very nice , however , I don’t understand the comments stating that the staff are nice . Yes , the rooms are beautiful , beach is beautiful, food is great , but sorry , the reception staff are one of the most careless staff I have ever encountered, and I have travelled a bit at my life , and I work in customer service as well .* From the first day , when asking to upgrade the return transfer from speedboat to seaplane , after I took the speedboat for the first transfer already , l was being charged more than the price for seaplane on both ways . When asking why the price , there was no clear explanation. When I asked to talk to a manager , the reception staff were telling me that there is no manager on that day . After 5 minutes he showed up , and arranged the transfer with a rational rate , and said that there was miscommunication in the reception .* During check in they were emphasizing so much that my room got upgraded , and when asking which side my room would be , how far it is from everything , they kept telling me that I am upgraded ( as in I should be grateful and don’t ask questions). Also at the check in , the lady showing the room was so rushed to leave , and barely explained everything in the room and then just left.* As a solo traveler , who did not consume much and just wanted to sit by the beach and relax, I requested to check out at 2 pm instead of 12 . The reception staff said there is availability , but I would be charged 50 dollars . That is for extra 2 hours on the beach. As it was uncomfortable to use the beach and then prepare for the flight outside the room , I did not use any facility after check out . In the end there was someone exactly at 12 o’clock at my door waiting for me the leave, and ended up staying at the reception for 2 hours , where no one offered even a glass of water , while there were no check ins at that time , and the staff were not busy at all .

Everything was incredible! Amazing staff, beautiful location, gorgeous beach villa and fabulous food.

Water villa has shade that we loved during the day and direct approach to water comparing to beach villas. the beach in front is nice, but entering the water is painful due to a lot of corals and there were a days when it smells bad. Water current can be strong, and we couldn’t enjoy snorkeling the way we wanted. Room bar should include chips and chocolate as a part of regular all inclusive. The bathroom ammenities did not include some basics. Bring your own hair conditioner, since there is only shampoo and conditioner in one. Body lotion had stale smell. Restaurant food was ok, lot of meat but I was lucking variety of sea food. AI package should include more, such as dinning at the Crab restaurant, variety of coffee, and alcohol. Resort could have more evening events. Also, they could come up with some rainy activities. Service was excellent, we really liked Naseer our room butler, he did amazing job making us feel comfortable and also Lamaah, our waiter who made sure we are served with everything. The Spa had deals, however, the massages weren’t the best and worth the money.
