That level of personal attention made the experience feel incredibly personalized and heartfelt.The dining experience was elevated by the wonderful waiters Riva, Nabith, and Ziyan — always positive, friendly, and genuinely happy to serve. Their energy, humor, and openness to conversation made every meal a joy.A very special thank you to the team for the beautiful birthday surprise they prepared for my partner. The thoughtful setup and attention to detail truly touched our hearts and made the celebration unforgettable. It was such a lovely and meaningful gesture that we will always remember.Special appreciation also goes to Saliq, our room attendant, for the impeccable tidiness of our villa and the adorable handwritten notes he left behind. To start of, the staff were absolutely amazing! They were very helpful, responsive and they truly made our stay memorable, specially Joelle she was incredible! We were celebrating our birthday there and they went out of their way to decorate for us and give us a cake, so sweet of them.The resort was super beautiful, and the overwater villa was exceptional, every single amenity you can think of was in the room, nothing was missing. We were very impressed. There’s also plenty of restaurants to choose from and the food was good. We loved the variety of the breakfast buffet and the Christmas party buffet was incredible - nothing like I’ve seen before. Everything was super clean and well maintained and it only took us 30 minutes to reach from the airport to the resort by speed boat.Also the fact that we had access to the other Anantara resort made it more fun for us to explore around the islands.

The only thing we didn’t like is we booked the Adults only resort, meanwhile plenty of the festive activities on the island connected to the other resort which is more for families so we did see children roaming around or attending the festive events taking place which we did not expect considering we booked adults only but either way, it did not really ruin the experience, just a watch out.

Location of our villa which we have asked to change but no one even came to explain or apologize about availability . We took full board package but it had only few restaurants oncluded and we had to pay extra at some other restaurants

The refurbished villas are fine

The food is far below average. I get better food on board of any plane. Drinks - terrible. In most cases it seems they even don’t now how mix simple cocktails properly. Small selection of fruits at breakfast and what they have is not totally fresh too . So bottled drinks are only option. Regarding food all looks cheap. So called Wagyu beef was a it rotten and you definitely feel it on taste. Over water villas are refurbished, but the quality is very questionable. Like, irregular wooden screens between villas. Or some terraces bending down on corners. Servis from personal butler was very questionable, as she was permanently doubting if we are couple or not. Very unpleasant. From 500 other options I will next time avoid this place for sure. The fame of this place is clearly long gone. Staff training to modern hotel standards does not exist there

This was our second trip to Anantara Veli and the place has kept its magic. No detail is missed - from the excellent food served at the restaurants, to the cleanliness of the facility, the celebration of special moments (anniversaries, birthdays, return trips, end of stay), to the flexibility and friendliness of the staff. Every step of the journey is perfectly designed. A very special mention to Paula, Kareem and Ravi for for making our moments extra special; and to Ibu and Joelle for their hospitality and attention at all times of the day!!

The prices of the food and beverages are on the high side.An island in Veli's sight has built high hotel buildings that sadly take away from the idyllic views and scenery. Try to not look that way as you're sitting on the pool.

He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy, and for that, we are very grateful.Beyond the outstanding service, the resort itself is simply breathtaking — from the pristine beach and crystal-clear waters to the beautifully maintained villas and serene environment. The dining experiences were exceptional, offering a variety of delicious dishes with stunning views. The staff across the resort were always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which added to the overall charm of our stay.

The prices are a bit high, i strongly advise to reserve the full board.

A lovely island effectively connected to two others across an azure sea lagoon . Nice accommodation mostly over water with direct access to the lagoon . Plenty of excellent restaurants !

The villas are large and have all necessary facilities but they are clearly a little old , quaint . The surprise for me was the lagoon is beautiful looking but a bit empty of marine life once you snorkel .

Staff has been absolutely great quality. Feruza, Sajith and Priyantha had provided exceptional service to make me and my wife’s honeymoon memorable. Sea is brilliant with fishes around the villa, water is crystal clear. Thank you for the brilliant hospitality.

I wish there were mutliple tiered beverage packages to offer to customers. E.g one package for non alcoholic, one package just only for beers

Range of restaurants, biking around, beaches, picnic island, accommodation...all great

Tiny point, but the photos online don't show the fact that there are sometimes cargo tankers nearby which can spoil parts of the view sometimes (if you let it)

Loved the location, sea, food, restaurants, sea activities, beaches, complementary wellness activities throughout the day.

- It would’ve been nice had there been more entertainment at night such as shows or dancing. There was only a DJ at one of the nights- I couldn’t find a swimming area that was completely private as there was always people or workers passing by, and the sea in front of our villa was very shallow so I couldn’t swim there.

We celebrated our 10-year anniversary at this resort, and our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was comfortable, clean, and offered a stunning view, making our experience truly special. The services were excellent, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. It was a magical getaway, and we would highly recommend this resort to our friends.

Everything was great. After the plane ride it is great to go directly to the hotel by speed boat. No need to make an extra trip. Jennifer was a great assistant. Super, patient and unlimited support in everything. We will miss her. The waiters and hotel staff were very polite. Jülide and Mert.

Our honeymoon at Anantara Veli Maldives Resort in May was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The stunning overwater villas, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking views created the perfect romantic setting. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, with thoughtful touches and impeccable service throughout. The dining options were exquisite, and each meal felt like a celebration. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect start to our married life, and we’re already dreaming of our return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious and romantic getaway!

Magical birthday stay… from the great service and speedboat transfer from the airport, this was truly paradise found. Will forever remember the water, the sand, and the breathtaking views from our upgraded Overwater villa, in which we received an upgrade in our meal package as well… food was healthy and excellent . Staff, namely Fathi, Maath and Zian were world class and made u feel completely welcome !

Stayed too short

My stay was wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean with a beautiful view, and the services were excellent. I would like to especially thank Ibrahim for his friendly and helpful service. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

We loved everything about this hotel. Paradise island with white sand and turquoise water. Excellent staff who were professional and dedicated to making our stay perfect. Excellent choice of restaurants. The room was a very good size and beautifully decorated. We loved there were many excursions and activities offered too at this resort. We dived and got involved in coral planting. The resort was perfect !!

Our villa over the sea was amazing. A few steps down into crystal clear torquoise sea water. Snorkelling, even around the villas withy water depth of around 1m was exceptional. It is exactly as imagined and seen in videos of Maldives over the years. Paradise. Staff were fabulous and the entire resort fabulous. Restaurants and food could not be better either. Our "host" Ibrahim, was so helpful, courteous, knowledgeable and on call, 24/7 if needed. We will be back and we will ask for Ibrahim again.
