Dhawa Ihuru, part of Banyan Group – All inclusive with Free Transfer

This small, intimate resort was the perfect place for my son and I to chill after a week on a scuba liveaboard. The bungalows are comfortable and lovely Each one has their patch of beach from which you can walk into the water and snorkel the excellent house reef. The entire staff was so kind and courteous.In response to some comments about children, yes it’s family friendly but really not an issue. There were a few toddlers but mostly the children were quiet and unobtrusive

My only disappointment was that masala chai wasn’t on the breakfast drinks menu.

everything From the moment we landed in the airport, until taking us back to the terminal. The Hospitality of the team at the property is unmatched! the calm vibes of the island and the taste of the food although its not a huge variety because its a small island yet the food taste in general is amazing. the Spa service for couples was so great that we booked twice in two days!. they even organized a special dinner arrangement for us on our anniversary without telling us! that was an awesome experience. adding to that a free room upgrade and without even highlighting that to us as an extra service! it felt like we are super cared for all the time. believe me you will never see the type of personalized hospitality in this island else where and thats why we will surely go back.

honestly nothing in the hotel. but we tried to book a restaurant in the other bigger island to celebrate our anniversary. however it felt like a waste! paid for a fine dine experience but the food was horrible! the worst wagu steak ive tried and wished we had eaten in our island instead it would have been much tastier for sure. keep that in mind.

The resort (around 40 rooms) is simply beautiful and a little piece of paradise. The gardeners and housekeepers definitely stand out for keeping such a meticulously clean and pleasant environment and the level of professionalism can be seen in the details all around the island and inside your bedroom. All staff is kind and care about the guests from arrival/pick up until the very last moment at departure. You can see that they all try their best to make you have the best possible experience. We are travelling with two small kids and everyone was extremely kind also with them. The coral reef is the nicest we have seen in the last years and right in front of your room you’ll be able to see sharks, rays, colorful fishes and sea turtles. Even my non swimmer 2 years old daughter could see all this without going underwater! The island is located less than half an hour from Male which makes it very comfortable to reach. We loved our stay and would definitely come back and recommend it

The food was not so much of our liking and we did not find it up to standard. Furthermore, there is usually the possibility to visit the neighbor island (5 minutes far) of Banyan Tree but for the whole length of our stay it was completely reserved for a private occasion.

Beautiful island property, lovely beachfront villas, beautiful beach. The house reef that surrounds the island is very easy to snorkel and has a great variety of sea life. The staff is excellent. The spa services were very relaxing and convenient. The buffet-style restaurant has a great variety of food from various cultures and was excellent. The dive shop staff was very helpful. A perfect stay!!

As quite close to Male - there were quite a few ferries and large boats that went past - and views of other islands - but not necessarily a bad thing as we didn’t mind at all.

Open buffet needs a lot of improvement, also bar needs to do a lot of improvement even simple drinks were not really good, in this level and all-inclusive option, expectations are little higher. But I don't think they could meet the bar.

- near airport (20 mins by speedboat) and they transport guests right after we arrive , ie no need to wait for hrs while they are grouping guests arriving from different planes- house reef is prob one of the best, if not the best, for resorts which can be reached by speedboat in less than 30 mins- value for $- food is very good

Very small island, hence not much facilities like swimming pool, and only one restaurant

The villa was very nice and comfortable. Big room with direct access to the beach and water. Very good food and drinks. Staff very nice and helpful. You can walk around the island in 20-25 minutes. Close to Male airport by speed boat. The hotel provides snorkelling gear and you can spend hours around the island. Nice yoga class given on Monday.

Small Island with all the Facilities expected from a Maldivian resort. Spa was great especially Clara, dive centre was the stand out facility especially the dive team and the boat crew.

Location to the house reef. Generally good food and drink options. Staff really friendly. Good private accommodation with own garden/beach access.

Not much atmosphere in the bar area, no entertainment, music was difficult to hear. On one night there was a staff party which affected the usual quality/availability of food at dinner and lack of service at the bar on a Friday night! Unfortunately it was a shame the food/service was poor on our final night in the Maldives

I don’t think the pictures on the site do it justice - absolutely stunning location, lovely people who couldn’t do enough for you and comfortable living. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.

Only minor issue - there is a premium all inclusive that no one told us about.

They have the best cappuccino.. we snorkeled with sharks and the sun sets were amazing. The personel was super kind and the island was calme. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfectly done. We arrived early and got an early check in. Which was super kind of the resort and made our stay even more amazing.

Our stay at Dhawa Ihuru resort was fantastic in all aspects. After clearing the immigration formalities we were greeted by resort coordinator in front of the airport and half an hour speed boat ride later we were already drinking welcome cocktail on the island and listening to Elena about general information. We were two families on the speed boat and each was greeted individually making check-in pure pleasure with many woows. Villas are modern with room/garden service twice a day. The island is not big. Walking around takes around 10 min and swimming around the reef about an hour. There is a sister island 2 min boat ride away with a 7 times a day free boat ride back and forth. Both islands have a beautiful coral reef around them. There is no need for snorkeling trips. You can see big variety of marine life on the doorstep of your villa. Sharks (not dangerous), turtles, lobsters and more colorful fish that you can count. We were snorkeling at least twice a day. There is an in house marine lab. Marine biologist Henry told us many interesting things during his coral reef lecture and showed in person while snorkeling together. He even helped my daughter with her school project. There is a wide variety of activities. From massages in their spa centre to local music evenings and fishing trips. My son made life long memories while pulling big wahoos and a barracuda from the sea during big game fishing. Captain Matheen found the fish, made us feel comfortable and prepared tasty sunrise breakfast. Oh, and the food. Like dining in a Michelin star restaurant 3 times a day. Tropical fruit was amazing.Everyone from gardeners, waiters, cooks, bar-mans, receptionists to resort manager were honestly trying to make us happy. And they did.

Totally amazing place with beautiful coral reef around the island. Staff was very professional and friendly all the time. Will come back again in the future.

Food in the bar was below average. Prices in the spa were high.
