It’s old and needs serious renovation

The staff attention

The bed then the room the toilet

The bed was comfortable

I felt that i paid too much for a hotel in this area and the city. Also the heating of the room was not good, needed to put both central heating and air conditioning on.

We would like to thank the staff of Balturk Hotel especially the receiptionist who was on duty on Tuesday 24th December

Efficient staff for check in and check out. Restaurants close to the hotel

Noise around the hotel ( fans from climatisation?). Noise insulation not good. Shampoo in very small quantity provided

location was nice, the view was great. good breakfast.

no parking

The breakfast is very good, there are simple but very good quality such as the freshness of fruits and salad.

The bathroom is needed to be upgraded, small, looked old and it doesn't have space to put personal hygiene on the countertop.

The staff was very helpful.

Near to everything- restaurants, bus station to transit you direct to Istanbul international airport and grocery store.

Bad

I had a very disappointing stay at this accommodation in Izmit. The room was not clean at all, which made the experience unpleasant. Also, be very careful when making your reservation. Without realizing it, I selected a booking option that required paying for breakfast at the reception. When I checked in, the receptionist informed me that I had booked without breakfast, and for just a 3-euro difference, I could have had it included. While I didn’t want breakfast under these conditions, it’s still something to be aware of, especially if you're in transit like I was, staying just for one night. In my opinion, it’s not worth it.

Location and breakfast

Staff is generally nice and helpful, Issue is smoke filled rooms, this is first hotel I encountered that you havr to tell in advance, please make sure room is cigerate free, otherwise room is full of smoke and ash

I highly recommend New Balturk Hotel in Izmit! The localisation is amazing - just few minutes by walk from bus station, many many restaurants around, the place is pretty quiet, and taxis are available. The hotel staff is very nice, always helpful, and available on WhatsApp, so in case of any trouble you can get a help from them. Place is very clean, rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is nutritious and very varied. The perfect place to stay for a business trip or city tour.

It’s location is good but not excellent, the breakfast is fair

Bad

I was bothered by the fact that it smells like cat urine everywhere, including in the room. I could barely sleep! Disturbing! I never want to stay at that hotel again. You need to do a total sanitation.

Its has one of the best location, trams and busses are minutes by walk, Otogar (Central Bus Station) is beside the Hotel. You can reach Sabiha Gökcen Airport in 70 80 minutes via bus from the Hotel.Staff was helpful, specially Mehtan Abi! Since I wanted to change the room, it was easy to do so, fast Wifi was provided, the breakfast included was good as well! Room was comfy and cozy, just while booking make sure to let them know to get a smoking free room, if u dont smoke.

It had a bit of smoke smell in some rooms, coz which I had to change room. None the less, it was assisted and staff was helpful!

Breakfast was good

Everything, the furniture is bad and old, and the rooms need to be completely renovated.
