Margarona Royal Hotel

A perfect hotel in terms of view, proximity to Preveza airport and the promenade (for those arriving by car), the size of the rooms, and parking spaces. The pool is large and luxurious, with well-kept gardens and seating areas. I will note that the style and furniture are somewhat old-fashioned/romantic but very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is varied and extremely tasty. And the staff is kind, smiling, and willing to help. We arrived for one night the evening before our flight back from Lakdah, but we will definitely come again. With the aim of going on star trips north of the hotel.

Walking in to the hotel you could tell it was once very grand. The pool area was spectacular with beverage service. I had a fruit plate in my room when I arrived- nectarine, orange, banana, kiwi and apple- all on a dinner plate with a knife and napkin. Very nice touch! The included breakfast buffet was formal and outstanding!

It seems like it is a hotel that used to be quite grand and now needs some attention. Everything was clean enough but carpets were dingy, furniture was old and marked up. I felt like everything needed attention - like a new coat of paint and a deep clean.As a solo tourist, there was nothing very near to walk to dinner. The hotel offers a buffet for a reasonable €20, but I did not want that much food. The room was much too warm for me - 26.5 Celsius/79.7 Fahrenheit. I couldn’t get the temperature any lower. The receptionist said she would get it lowered but nothing happened.

Breakfast is not very diverse. I had to eat eggs with bacon for 7 days, because there was no other options for gluten intolerant and lactose free person. Pool was great with free towels. You have to ask them at reception.

The hotel doesn't have a beach and you have to drive for 3 km to the nearest beach. The carpet on the halls was dirty.

The hotel was very good, the room was big and very clean, the view was very nice. The staff was very helpful and polite. The location was good, a little far from the center. The food was good and tasty.

Comfortable rooms & comfortable beds. Good shower pressure & hot water.Lovely pool area with big clean pool, sunbeds & umbrella and a bar.Breakfast was pretty good too.All the staff were extremely friendly & welcoming.

The hotel is a bit older style & definitely in need of a bit of an upgrade but all in all we had a good stay!

I have traveled to many places in Greece and never met such friendly, service-minded staff! Our stay was over our expectations and we enjoyed everything at the hotel and the surroundings.

The pillow was a bit too high but you replaced it with a soft pillow in no time.

Value for money, all staff service, the pool and staff made the stay.. 99% of our value eating.

Renew the carpets, fresh fruit at breakfast.

We stayed just a night before leaving Greece from Airport Aktio. We had a comfortable room with a very nice view and could rest really good before leaving next morning. The air conditioning worked very well and was easy to regulate (not too cold, not too strong - just right).the other facilities we did not use, so I can't say anything about them, but the hotel gave us a very good impression.

The location we needed a place to stay on the way to the south. The breakfast was really good with a lot of variety

The hotel is really old, like 70s. some thins are a little bit rusted, the carpet on the floor corridors are worn out. the furniture in the rooms is old as well.

As a big hotel the maintenance is more dificult and is seen in little things, but has all the comfort to stay in.

It was just one night stay to reach airport with early morning flight easily. Spacy room & bathroom with all you need. Comfy beds. Lovely pool view from balcony. Dinner & breakfast very tasty & of good variety.

A property obviously catering to large, older tour groups travelling in bus loads on one-night stays. A loud party until midnight right under the rooms on arrival night, of which we were not advised until... night. The breakfast served huge buffet-institutional style, some items seeming to reapper on consecutive mornings... The dead flowers bouquets in stagnating dirty water throughout the reception and dining areas. No coffee/tea making implements in the room. Minimally friendly staff in general.

Excellent place to relax after a sailing week . Friendly staff . Large pool. Clean rooms although a little dated . The location was fine for us as we’d already stayed 4 nights in the old town but it’s a bit out on a limb otherwise . Beautiful views though from rooms overlooking sea .

Food was average . Not very exciting buffets at evening fot adequate for a short stay .

Quiet and clean room, excellent and helpful staff. Even if I had a short stay, I would choose the same hotel for a more extended stay in that region.
