About

This hotel complex is ideally located in Skopelos, just 2625 feet from the town center and the harbor. The property features magnificent views over the sea and the picturesque mainland houses. The architecture of Skopelos Village Hotel's 35 rooms and suites is characteristic of the Aegean Sea islands, while the inspired interior decoration allows for the relaxation and freshness we seek during carefree summers. Buffet breakfast is daily served. Skopelos is a paradise where the green of pine trees and dense forest mix with the deep blues of the sea and sky. In fact, Skopelos has been named as the Green and Blue Island by the International Organization of Biopolitics. This is an island for escaping from the pressures of modern life and resting in peaceful, serene surroundings where you set the pace.

    • Beautiful property and amazing location. Highly recommend. The staff is so lovely and made huge efforts to make our stay wonderful and even helped with difficult to come by dinner reservations. We are so appreciative!

    Cons -

    • Nothing, it was all exactly what we wanted
    • Nothing it was great
    • We booked the hotel (as, I guess many people do) based on the extremely good reviews, the photos on the website and the thought of a very good on-site restaurant. It was a bit of a surprise when the taxi stopped outside, and I even questioned the driver whether we were at the right place having expected some sort of resort rather than a collection of buildings fronting directly on to the road.Much is made of the ‘Mamma Mia’ connection; it should be borne in mind that this was seventeen years ago, and they only stayed for six days. I rather suspect that they would have brought their own catering. We are disappointed to find that the reality does not match up to the reviews we read. The room is clean but not what we expected and is ‘rustic’. The whole hotel is similar, and the facilities are dated and in need of refreshing. I don’t know how the restaurant has such ‘rave’ reviews. Breakfast is basic and the range of what is on offer is limited and, frankly, is inadequate for an hotel of this alleged calibre. The cooked food is, at best, lukewarm. The dinner menu is, again, limited and doesn’t change from day to day. I don’t think that many guests (if any) dined there and preferred the short walk into town where there are many good restaurants. The photos on the website do it more than justice and show that the camera can lie. Being by either of the pools is like stepping back in time. Should all the guests decide to go to the pools at the same time there are insufficient sunbeds (just bare with no mattresses) and these are supplemented by old-fashioned deckchairs.Whilst there are pool menus put out, not once does a member of staff circulate during the day and should you want a drink or a snack you have to go and find one for yourself. The good points are the staff are nice and the rooms are clean. Also, it is within a ten-minute walk of town. It has been interesting to see the reactions of new arrivals who generally have had an air of disbelief, as we did.

The staff was consistently helpful, warm and welcoming. The hotel lobby and grounds were charming and meticulous. Our room was spacious and well appointed.

Everything! There is nothing to fault about this beautiful hotel. The location is perfect, lovely 10 minute stroll to town on nearly flat ground. The staff were so welcoming from the minute we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was immaculate, daily house keeping service was a treat! Breakfast was a lovely daily selection of everything you needed plus some local treats such as the delicious honey. Swimming pools were both lovely too. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for complete peace and calm.

Breakfast fairly good but felt someone should have been able to make fresh omelette etc on request

Reception area and staff very impressive but the rest of the hotel although spotlessly clean did not deserve 5 star rating

Breakfast a nice offering and good range. Would be nice to be able to order pancakes or other items too. Beautiful views from restaurant, pool and room. We stayed in room 2 which was very large and well appointed right overlooking the sea (best roomin entire hotel in my opinion). No noise other than the occasional motorcycle along the front road. Nice location slightly away from town which is a 10 min easy walk. Gym very well appointed for a small hotel, however it could do with some heavier dumbbells. Bed comfortable. AC in room is good. Two pools at hotel however it was hard to get a sunbed at certain times due to people claiming these each day from before 8am. Staff all amazing and so helpful and lovely. Nice kitchenette provided in room but didn't rely contain any items so only good for making tea and coffee. Highly recommend this hotel for any one coming to Skopelos; you'd be mad to stay anywhere else.

Bathroom was small and not well lit and poorly ventilated. No moisturiser, shower cap, bar of soap, or other bathroom amenities provided. It would be nice if a bottle of water was provided daily rather than just once. WiFi had the tendency to drop out regularly.

This hotel is in a great location and an easy walk into Skopelos old town. The staff were fantastic, and really helpful both before and during our stay.

The 2 bedroom suite we booked felt a bit dated. Otherwise it was a lovely stay. I did think it a little expensive for what we got but we were there in August!

    10EricaPosted on: 8-25-2024

I had an unforgettable stay at Skopelos Village. The suite offered a super nice view of the sea, making every morning a sweet wake-up. The staff was exceptional—warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. I will never forget the assistance of the lady who genuinely wanted to make everyone happy. Highly recommended! :-)

    Nothing :)

Skopelos Village Hotel provides exceptional facilities in a beautiful setting. From the second we arrived, the hotel manager Leo and his staff were so welcoming and helpful. The restaurant provides delicious options, from the generous and varied buffet breakfast, to the poolside meals and the lunch and dinner options. All hotel facilities are spotlessly clean and all staff clearly take a pride in providing the best possible experience for all guests. We will definitely return and can highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot find fault with any part of our experience. I’d give it a 10/10 rating.

Good location, very nice suite facing the pool, feeling like home, friendly staff

    10AlexandraPosted on: 7-23-2024

The location was perfect with a beautiful view over the water & to the town. It is a short & enjoyable walk into the town. We stayed at ‘The House’ which was decorated so beautifully & so comfortable & the breakfasts were delicious & very generous amounts. The staff were so helpful & welcoming and definitely made the stay a memorable one. They helped book all our leisure activities & nothing was too much trouble.

Great rooms, helpful staff. Nice views, especially as we had sea view. Skopelos.... the beaches, villages, and views are fabulous

Just not enough space for the pools and not enough sunbeds. We aren't early risers, and by the time we got up, the beds were gone. Just not enough space for the size of complex. Pool also only a dipping pool/ kids pool. Not suitable for swimming. That said we travelled to the various fantastic beaches each day but would have been nice to be able to use the pool area one day of the holiday

Close to everything! Beach towels given . Staff and breakfast amazing.

Nothing but had to love from the house to a regular room for a night. The towels very rough in rooms. In the house they were soft .

    10MichellePosted on: 7-2-2024

Location excellent close but far away enough for peace. Staff amazing. Really enjoyed the breakfast

Nothing. The towels I. The house wonderful. The towels when we moved to the rooms were very rough. Only thing g I can think of.

When we checked in we were delighted to be told that our booking had been rearranged so that our family group could have rooms next door to each other. The staff were very friendly and went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was good. We hired a car.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are comfortable but slightly worn. Also a few maintenance issues around the place eg pealing paint, lawns not well kept. It was the staff who make the place.

Leonidas and the team were incredible great room and location. Loved Greek dancing night!
