Katerina Hotel

It was old fashioned, quirky and full of character. The owner was carrying on the work of his mother. He was very helpful and kind, and spoke good English. Amazingly good value!

The room was dirty and I decided not to stay there at all .

Very welcoming host, plenty of space, very cheap

Cleanliness was pretty poor but for one night rolling through I didn't mind, the only real gripe I have, which is a big one but I assume it's not the host's fault but a fellow guest or two (I have my hunches) decided to syphon our 3/4 tank of petrol, which we didn't realise til just out of town and our fuel gauge and car let us know it was empty. This meant we have to spend 50 euros on fuel even though we topped up the night before.......

We were made to feel so welcome at the Hotel Katerina. The host was incredibly friendly and offered us free coffee as soon as we arrived. The hotel is old fashioned with heavy wooden furniture and a wealth of photos, pictures and ornaments making it quite unique. Location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, cafes and restaurants, and with plenty of parking within the hotel grounds. The room had a comfy bed, hot water and a balcony. Our incredibly generous host also gave us free breakfast of bacon and eggs, with bread and jam, and coffee was always available, just to help yourself, at no extra cost. Fantastic generosity and hospitality. We hope to visit again! Thank you. Larry and Sue.

Very old-styled hotel but convenient for budget travelers. Good location in Tolo close to the beach and just a 15min drive away from Nafplio.

Everything was great, the hotel met our needs to the fullest. Great parking space, great location just a few minutes from the beach. We got a huge spacious room, with a big bed, and excellent AC. We will be returning soon for sure!

Everything was great, rooms exactly as seen on the photos. Just a few minutes walk from the beach. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Great value for money.

For the price I paid, I have absolutely only positive things to say. The host was very willing to provide more than required to ensure a happy stay. He even made breakfast and coffee several times with no extra cost. I will definitely be returning in the futuere.

Everything was very cool and comfortable. The owner Mr. Dimitri, was very accommodating and welcoming. This vintage hotel, with a strong sense of greek tradition, will bring you all the way back to the 70s and 80s of greek hospitality.Considering how many hotels there are in Tolo/Nafplio etc, this one really deserves nothing but great reviews. Highly recommended, and excellent value.

The hotel is simple and very affordable (the cheapest in Tolo), but what it lacks in fanciness it makes up in friendliness from the host and its atmosphere. I have been visiting Katerina Hotel for the past 4 years, and I keep returning every summer for short and longer stays.Although one should not have high expectations from a low-cost hotel, this hotel is in fact very clean, with air-conditioning and refridgerators in all rooms, balconies and very comfortable beds.The location is great, just about a 3-minute walk (150 meters) from the beach and the local bakery, grill restaurants, pharmacy and souvenir shops.Dimitris will treat you as family and will go out of his way to accommodate you.

Didn’t actually stay at Katerina Hotel as manager took us to a nearby hotel.

Old style, very friendly, the rooms are big and comfy This place is a bit of a time bubble. Do not expect modern optics. When you first enter it is a bit grotty but I think this is part of the charm. It's not like one of these standard hotels that you can find all around the world. Beds are clean and big, we had a balcony and aircon, WiFi was so so. For the price it is a steal. On site parking if you need.

The place is old. If you can't cope with this don't go there.

A little time travel, but kind host, good location, big beds, perfect for a budget vacation.

The chairs on the balcony were dirty and the space is tight for toilet use, because of the toilet paper holder.

The location is great, close to the beach and plenty of restaurants. Rooms big enough. Friendly host, let us keep our room past checkout for free. Parking right outside the hotel.

The decor is clearly dated but you can’t complain about that because it’s in the hotels photos. I think our room was used to test which colours they liked and they didn’t pick one! The rooms were very dirty and dusty. There was a snail in our bathroom which had clearly been there for a long time. The bathroom also smelt very strongly like paint. Maybe other rooms are having a makeover! Sheets and towels weren’t too bad considering the state of the rest of the place. I didn’t dare lift the sheet to look at the mattress though.Host was friendly but very loud at all hours. WiFi was slow. Hotel just needs a fresh lick of paint, ideally just one colour, some updated furniture, and a deep clean to make it so much better!

There are friendly and interesting places to visit in the surrounding area. It is close to the sea and there is a port not too far away that can be walked.

The location is amazing ! Very close to the beach and in thos period it was very quiet. People are kind here, and the room was big !

No shower curtain so the bathroom is under water fast. Fridge is old and very noisy but you can unplugged it if you don't need it.

The hotel was very shabby, it looked like it had closed down years ago, it was cheap but I didn’t even stay overnight and just left.

Nobody to meet and greet, only the local handy man.
