Rita's Place Hotel

- Great price/quality ratio.- Rita the owner is a very nice and helpful person.- Location is perfect: just close to the main street of Chora but far at the same time for a quiet sleep (it gets really busy)- Ample parking space for those renting a car / atv / buggy.- Very nice swimming pool where we can chill at sunset or in the morning.- You feel like you own an appartment in Ios in this hotel.

- The mattresses we slept on were very hard, we did give the feedback to Rita on our last day though (our fault). Am sure she would have done something about it had we told her sooner.- The toilet is a bit dated and can benefit from some upgrades.

Beautiful pool and location, comfortable beds. Frequently cleaned, close distance to bus stop and about 5-10 minute walk to the main town. Very nice balcony area. There was a bedside vanity which was useful for doing makeup etc and a mini fridge in the apartment which was useful.

The bathroom facilities were poor, the sink sprayed whenever you used it and I saw cockroaches in the bathroom several times. The air conditioning was unreliable, sometimes it would work if both doors to balcony were closed but often it would not turn on at all and it needed the key card to be on so the room would be quite warm upon return if you left. Not a large amount of storage space. As I was up late, as many are in Greece, I did find it frustrating that the cleaning staff would come in very early such as at 8 am and that there was no do not disturb sign or anything I could put up. They often let themselves into my room while I was asleep and once, despite me saying I did not want the room cleaned, they insisted I stand on the balcony while they cleaned it after entering my room at 8 in the morning.

Rita and everyone who worked at the hotel were exceptionally accommodating Our ac broke down after 2 days and they immediately switches us to a beautiful upgraded room.. Rita let us know what beaches and restaurants were great to go to. Would definitely stay there again.

It was close to the town.

The staff were rude and judgemental every time we walked out of the room we were looked up and down, I personally felt so uncomfortable whilst being at the hotel, was not a nice feeling at all. The sheet pillow was dirty and the air con didn’t work.

The hotel is in a great location overlooking the sea. The climb from the harbour is challenging with luggage but a free shuttle service is offered so not an issue. Nicely furnished room, very clean, much better than the 2star rating would suggest. Near to Chora centre, again a bit of a climb but the bus stops right outside. Owned and run by a lovely kind lady. Hope to return next year.

Friendly, homely, relaxed, great views and a wonderful pool. Rita was very helpful and kind.

Our apartment was fabulous. Very spacious, clean & a huge balcony with a pool & sea view. Rita provides a free shuttle service from the port. The location is excellent- only 10 minutes walk to the village. The bus stop outside goes from the port to the village every 15 minutes. We had a fantastic stay & would definitely recommend staying here.

Good location, 10 minutes into the town. Lovely pool. Wonderful hostess Rita picked us up at the port and dropped us off.

A fantastic place also made so by Rita who proved to be a splendid person and host, always ready to meet all our requests. The location is strategic both for those who rent a vehicle and for those who have to travel by bus since the stop is at the exit of the hotel. The rooms, even if not modern and newly furnished, are spacious and equipped, and offer a breathtaking view on the see. If we were to return to this beautiful island, without a doubt, I would choose the absolute peace of this magnificent place.

Staff super friendly, very helpful. Gave ride back to port. Lovely place great view. Swimming pool lovely. Short walk to the town which was great. Safe no problem’s definitely would stay again

Need a taxi from port to get as very steep hill

We had a pleasant stay at Rita's. Nice view, comfortable room. Near chora. Rita is a very nice person. There are many cats ?I love cats so I hope they will soon be sterilized .

Nice view and location, pool was lovely.

Great location, bus stop right next door. Can walk into town or down to the port in about 10minutes. Room had a lovely view from the balcony. Comfortable room, basic but all you need for an easy holiday stay. Owner, Rita, was lovely and very happy to help us with anything we needed, we really appreciated free drop off to the port. The other ladies working there were also very friendly and chatty with us.

Initial communication from Rita could have been better to avoid misunderstandings.

Very nice hotel and nice location close to the main street the view is amazing and nice clean rooms they can transfer you from the port to the hotel

Very friendly owner who picked us up and returned us to the port Lovely hotel in traditional Greek style our room overlooking the sea.We didn't use it but the pool looked very niceYou can catch the local bus stop is just up the road to the Capital or to the Port for a night out.Myself and my wife couldn't complain one bit and such lovely Greek family who own this Hotel would well recommend.

The staff spoke little English and kicked us out of our apartment 30 min before our actual check out time
