The location was good for younger people. 5 min into the party town and bus stop

The owners were unresponsive days and almost a week before check in. There’s another hotel near by with the exact same name that your gps will try to take you too. After the owner not being responsive for over 6 days, she decided to text me 30 minutes into my family and I dragging our large luggage up and down stairs trying to look for the hotel indicating that often people mix their hotel with another. It was quite disappointing as it caused a lot of tension between my family especially because I was the one to book the hotel and given that my parents are in their 60s. When I showed frustration the owner did meet us somewhere to pick us up, which was nice, but we had to climb back up 30 steps of stairs with a large luggage in each persons hands after already 30 minutes of hauling them around to begin with. However that was not suffice for the unresponsiveness. For anyone reading this, make sure they are responsive and be aware that this hotel is often mixed with another. If they are unresponsive I would report it to booking.com instantly. Also stay away from the breakfast, they serve fake Greek yogurt and 2 days boiled eggs.

This place was amazing! Family run and everyone was so accommodating. The view of the town was amazing from the pool! I liked staying somewhere with a view of Chora instead of right inside the town but still being a short 5 minute walk away to explore. Restaurants and 4wheeler rental were all very close. 10 to 10 would stay here again.

Small calm family driven hotel, good for couples. Very friendly staff! They helped us with everything we needed. Very close to the city centre. Nice pool area. Due to being on top of a hill it had a very good view from the room/balcony of the island and the sea (We had a room on the second floor). Two days we walked down to the beach (about 1-1,5km) but took a well worth 15€ taxi home that was definitely worth it. It also goes buses from the port and Milapotas beach that are cheaper, but was nice to take a taxi the whole way.Breakfast is not included but can be bought very cheap for 6-8 €. Very tasty. There is tho allot of small nice and cheap breakfast spots 150-200m from the hotel.Very close to a good supermarket also.The room had a very good AC that was needed when it was 30 degrees outside

Everything you need for a comfortable stay plus a swimming pool. Also has great views of the old town. Friendly hosts. All good!

Was a great location, close to town but not too close to hear the night time noise. Room was big enough with a great balcony. Clothes line a d pegs just outside for your wet clothes and towels to dry. Pool was beautiful and comfortable lounges to sit by it. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Really liked the make up cloth in the bathroom. Food was great as well.

Had an amazing time at Avanti - wish we stayed longer than two nights! The rooms were clean/tidy and serviced daily, beautiful pool area (towels provided) with great music, bar and snacks available. Breakfast was simple but delicious (recommend the omelette and freddo coffee).The property is really well maintained and cared for. It’s a more relaxing vibe which is exactly what we were after. It’s around a 6 minute walk to the centre of town and is located on a slight hill but it’s really not that steep and is an easy walk up/down. Katerina and her family were so welcoming and hospitable at all times. I’d recommend Avanti to anyone coming to Ios and hope to come back one day. Thanks for an amazing stay ?

Nothing - everything was perfect

The staff were very nice and accomodating. We felt very welcomed throughout our stay. The pool was amazing and the views were incredible. We couldn’t believe we had this view from the hotel. The staff organised a taxi for us when we needed to get back to the port. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Amazing location, super close walking distance to the main village town and also to local transport. The pool area was amazing to have and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was lovely to have a balcony too! Great to have the rooms made up each day also and the staff were friendly.

One of our rooms was a 2 bedroom however there were no doors between the bedrooms. Also as the key was needed to have electricity, the fridge turns off while you aren’t in the room.

This hotel exceeded all expectations . The room was lovely and modern, the pool was very large for the size of the hotel and there were plenty of seats and beds outside for everyone, never feeling crowded. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The hotel is a five minute walk into town and has amazing views. Would 10/10 recommend.

Great location, and family run hotel which you can tell they put a lot of pride into, it was very clean had nice areas to lounge. Very attentive.

For some reason the hotel didn’t feel like it had much atmosphere, maybe playing some quiet music around the pool may have changed that. It was perfect for our short stay and great value for money - however would potentially stay else where if looking for more of an atmosphere for a longer duration.

Avanti Hotel is beautiful. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. The pool area was lovely and the views were fantastic. Definitely staying there again.

When I arrived at the port, the owner of the hotel (Margarita) was waiting outside with a sign to the hotel. It was unexpected and super convenient - made the arrival wonderful!

Gorgeous view, lovely room with beautiful view, quiet. Loved everything! Margarite was so helpful. Provided a ride to the property from the ferry and back.

There was nothing to dislike!

Smart, modern hotel with everything in very good condition, five minutes walk to restaurants, bars etc. It's on the other side of the main road in Chora, the only village on the island, so not too noisy at night, although we could still hear partying going on in the distance until the early hours. The price was reasonable. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it as it was September and it was very windy.

Although there was nothing wrong with the hotel at all in terms of facilities, it didn't have much atmosphere. The staff were polite and helpful if needed but kept very much in the background. Not the usual overflowing Greek hospitality I'm used to. It's up a steep slope and the route back at night is quite dark and the surroundings a little desolate. It didn't feel unsafe, but I was glad not to be on my own. It wouldn't suit people with walking difficulties. The area is still being developed and will probably change over time.

Loved our stay at Avanti. Had 2 rooms booked for family which were beside each other. Katerina at Reception was extremely helpful. Would definetly recommend.

Lovely location in Chora. Good transport links for buses to beach. Beautiful accomodation. Book exchange , always brilliant for travellers. Hosts we're really helpful with pick up from ferry.
