    Pros +

    • Almost everything else.
    • the cool tent style accomodation with all comfort, fully equipped kitchen, fridge, freezer, shower, cool bedrooms, the kids liked the "upper floor hideaway beds", the safari bus tour to see the animals, the amusement park ...
    • The breakfast was nice, but pretty basic. The bread was warm, very cool! On the first day we could not have breakfast, as we came at 10.15 and the lady in the cafeteria shoulted at us, that everything was already closed and she needs to clean (in all brochures it states that breakfast is open until 10.30 and the reception said we should juat get in by 10.30 and then we can stay longer; the lady also shouted that she has no idea where we can eat (there was a fish cafe around the corner open)

    Cons -

    • 1- There is a bed-bugs in beds. We had bites on our back and neck-back. Thats not proper and should not happen. Please provide more hygiene procedures to prevent bedbugs. That’s dangerous. 2- I paid full package for two days with car Parking slot in vip slot. But unfortunately it’s always almost full. No parking slot. So why do you guys sell a parking slot when you know there are no available parking spaces!!?I had to take 25 minutes rounding waiting for a free space slot, otherwise the (free) non-paid parking are a little bit far away.
    • the extra fee
    • The door has no curtain and at 4am it was already bright during early summer and summer of course.

I liked the bathroom availability throughout the park and bathrooms were always clean.

Coffee at breakfast was not very tasty (only caffe crema and filter coffee). Need more options!

Good for families with kids, friendly staff,

    No WiFi

Beautiful, comfortable and clean Lodges nicely built into the park. Perfect destination for a family weekend. So much to do and explore for the whole family, we will certainly come back.

I personally had nothing I didn't like, but it might be worth to mention that the location is fully aimed at families or groups with kids. If you are looking for fine dining, or candle light dinners, you might stay somewhere else.

Location, facilities, staff. We stayed in Dschungel Lodges. We loved the overall concept, nice cozy beds and a real feel of staying in a jungle. A perfect get-away for the weekend. Room was clean and tidy, with all basic “must be” amenities and toiletries. I loved the compact bathroom, superbly designed. Also the sit-out area is well thought about.

Maybe, the windows could be installed with mesh nets. Cold nights, insects/bugs get into the room (bed). For kids it’s a bit scary.

    Breakfast was really good.

When reserving, make sure that you are aware that a 40 € /person mandatory ticket to the park will be added to the price on-site. This is mentioned in the contract, but it does not show in the total price when you made the booking. This isn't very clear while it's legal.

    Safari Park and is amazing

Food is expensive and not that goodsome of the staff don't speak Englishall indications are only in German (in the park,at the restaurant,at the reception, everywhere). For me this is a biiig minus.

    9SvenPosted on: 7-4-2024

+ Spacious and clean lodge+ Access to animal walkway nearby+ Windows with screens against bugs to cool down the lodge+ Nice bathroom+ A bit more seperate compared to the other lodges so more calm (This also means that the walk towards the park is a bit further but still doable walk)

    - Small fridge- Mattresses are quite light

    9GerganaPosted on: 7-2-2024

we loved the park the fact we could feed the animals, to touch them and the free park after that was amazing experience we would definitely recommend it and will be back .

The only part that was a bit sad was that all the VIP safari we could book on the day and all was fully booked for the one we wanted, so we had to compromise there , but the big five safari turned out to be another great experience.

Location overlooking the giraffes and other animals was amazing

Room is really small, very cramped with 2 adults and 2 children

    10DhiaPosted on: 8-23-2023

We really enjoyed the view, the safari tour and the activities during our stay. I recommend everyone to stay at the Masai Mara Lodge, you will have the view of animals from your balcony.

    8KristinaPosted on: 7-6-2023

Nice idea of staying. Close to animals. Comfortable rooms, beds.

Very expensive, the breakfast was not so tasty.

    8AnniePosted on: 7-6-2023

Interesting concept, not much of other accommodation options near by. Good size for family bungalow.

Low light, no grocery stores near by. Expensive low quality food at the park for guest lunch. Bed was bent like a hammock.

    9TomPosted on: 6-19-2023

Stayed in one of the lodges. Amazing view of the enclosures. Room was beautiful, comfortable bed, nice shower and complimentary biscuits, coffee etc.

Property and park was amazing. Slight miscommunication about the evening buffet being included in the stay meant I had to pay once I dished out my food. Would have eaten somewhere cheaper instead.

    Pleasant

It was not value for money. We arrived at 15 and they charged us with the park entrance fees even though we did not want to enter the park...its like when you enter the Parkplatz for your stay you have to pay the entry fees which is 45.5 Eur per person.Better to stay somewhere else.

    8LinaPosted on: 7-30-2022

Enough space. Nets on windows to protect from mosquitos, flies, etc.

Too crowdy during breakfast. Late sign in and early checkout times.

    8JarkamatPosted on: 5-5-2022

masai mara lodge is really nice, you can see animals from early morning until night.

no wifi in the room, just in restaurant and at reception.
