Hotel Fontaine Bleue

Great location to get to the beach club. The food was wonderful. Normally we’d try different restaurants but the food was so great we ate here multiple times.

Staff- both Gloria and her colleague at breakfast were attentive and helpful. A good welcome and courtesy, highly appreciated. Cleanest room ever, with all the comforts.

Directly across from Lake Orta we had just flown in on an international flight so we were exhausted. The staff was kind and took good care of us

The first thing I would say is about the staff especially Yousef in the restaurant,who made our stay exceptional, all the staff were great .The hotel provided everything we needed the rooms were very clean and comfortable.The breakfast was lovely and we had dinner twice in the restaurant plenty of choices provided.

We selected the hotel for its location close to an event we were attending at Orta. We liked the proximity to the lake and used the little public beach nearby.

The air conditioning remotes were not in the rooms when we arrived but were supplied when we asked at reception. We couldn't get the TV to work. No night staff on reception.

Great location with parking and close proximity to the lovely town of Orta and with a beach just across the road! We had a lovely view from our room. Very friendly and helpful staff especially the waiter in the restaurant. We ate here one night to avoid going into town; the meal was not fancy but tasty. The breakfast offerings were great! Since we booked the superior room we had parking inside the garage. It is convenient that they have a terrace and a bar overlooking the lake.

The room was a bit Spartan but comfortable. The tile in our shower needed cleaning but this was taken care of after I mentioned it to the desk.

We have stayed a numer of times before. It suits us (room with balcony and reserved garage parking - you need to book a superior room) and we do not find the local road an issue, although it does have vehicles passing especially at rush hour. There is a small beach opposite which does not belong to the hotel and is run privately - you can get a discount by booking through the hotel. This got very busy at weekends however if you are staying at hotel you will have parking and that is therefore not a problem. Sun bed and umbrellas available on beach - ice creams at hotel or form beach kiosk. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are well serviced (soap actuall of some use unlike some hotels we have stayed in but shampoo/body wash sachets are a bit small if you want to shower and wash hair you will probably need two. Wifi works well inside and out on the balcony. Small fridge supplied in room, but small for packs of beer, but we found fine for cold meats, cheese and the odd bottle of wine. Restaurant is not up to standard of previous owner, restaurant manager very friendly maybe a little too so for English expectation. Breakfast usual fruit juices, yogurt, cereal, cakes, meat, cheese bread so plemty to choose from. Dinner a little disappointing. Variety is missing, fish was very tasty, but then its beaten to death escalopes of pork or chicken or plate of vegetables - pizza is always available and they are well cooked and plenty of choice. Perhaps I am fussy for cost of room, but previous owner made a lot more of the dinner menu and the restaurant was popular with locals - maybe it was just the wrong time for them, we found it OK but nothing to write home about. If you order the potato side it will so at least two people. Lake Orta is a beautiful site at a % of the cost of the better known lakes, but everything you can want is within reach.

Perhaps a little more on the local cusine side in the restaurant Otherwise you pays your money and takes your choice on the road. Staff were all very pleasant, I would have preferred the restaurant server a little more restrained, maybe some training in appropriate level of familiarity. You cannot move the hotel, so pick what you want for a few days touring the lakes, considering the price of some up on the more famous lakes which you can drive to there is nothing to want to change on that front. A swimming pool would be nice although a large investment.

Great location. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Upgraded our room upon request. Expansive and tasty breakfast, even eggs cooked to order.

Location was convenient. Room was large by Italian standards but not sdmuch furniture. The only chair was an uncomfotqable desk chair

Great location for exploring Lake Orta and Lake Maggiore. The staff - from the dining room staff to the front desk staff - were extremely friendly and helpful.Must compliment both Joseph and Alessandra for helping to make this stay a very positive experience.

The bed was atrocious. Terrible. Even after requesting the staff to replace the mattress, the bed continued to be terrifically uncomfortable. There was also a bit of an issue with parking which the staff could not solve. Only after certain guests left the hotel was the problem solved.

Some of the staff go out their way to help and are very happy the lady with Blue hair and joseph were always doing great others less so. It's in a good location and easy to use.

Beds uncomfortable, and poor menu choices for dinner we have been a few times and always enjoyed the food now more a greasy dinner type of food.

Very friendly staff, speaking English and French. Good value for money. Guests get a discount on the 'Spiagga Miami' opposite, but there's also a smaller public beach nearby. it's a short drive or a long walk (there's a foot path behind the road) to Orta San Giulu

We stayed in a small apartment - not much headroom in the mezzanine but A/C helped. A bit near the road which was surprisingly noisy even late at night - ask for a room away from the road or bring ear plugs

Room was large, bathroom was clean and functional, staff were very friendly, and breakfast was very good, with a choice of cereal, fruit, eggs made to order, bread, cheese , ham.

Room had a fridge which was nice, but a kettle to make tea would have been a nice option that is often found in hotels, but not this one.

The staff was terrific, the food was delicious, the lake wasn't overly touristy, and our large room was really nice. There is a sandy beach, a snack bar(with adult + beverages),an ice-cream cart, and water-based activities.

Lovely stay and the hotel was really nice, comfortable and beautiful but there wasn't that much around when we were there. It was ideal for us at that part of the trip but if you were staying longer I think you would want more things to do.

As above - probably would have liked a few more options for places to eat etc if I had been staying longer but the hotel itself was spot on and very nice.
