Everything was good except the price of the room.

The room price is very expensive.

The location is great! Easy access off freeway. Staff is cheerful and helpful.

The bed THIS TIME WAS AWFUL! We were given two twin beds secured together. The fitted sheets on both mattresses did NOT fit properly and resulted in our sleeping on old bunched up material that was the thin mattress cover. It was the worst situation we had ever encountered at any Ibis hotel.

Easy to find off roadway , staff were nice and spoke English well.

Usually not much space between the bed and wall on one side and the bathroom is tiny.

The room we were given was a bit DATED…. The carpet was ‘wrinkled’ and quite stained.I would have also preferred one double bed for my husband and I to sleep together. The menu seems to be a bit limited.The boiled egg ‘machine’ was not turned on so the water was cold. I didn’t have time to wait for it to be usable.

The property has an excellent restaurant. Also the night staff who checked us in was really helpful. We also liked the lounge area.

The room was extremely small. The carpet was really dirty and worn. The bathroom floor was so filthy that when I used the floor towel to mop up water from the shower, the towel was black with dirt.

We stay every year on way to skiing in the Alps. Staff pleasant and helpful, food very good, breakfast good, secure and ideally located.

Perfect location close to motorway for stopover on way to Calais after a day's skiing in the Alps. Great breakfast.

No complaints. It does what it says on the tin.

Clean, comfortable. Handy location just off Autoroute du Soleil.

In hindsight, bit overpriced in comparison to other places stayed.

For almost 150 euros, this one was too small. Heating and hot water were not great in that night. There are better alternatives.

the rooms were nice and comfortable. the beds firm and comfy. parking was easy and convenient. a plus was to have a in-house restaurant.

staff at breakfast wasn't very helpful and it took a while after having flagged it to get the coffee machine refilled and the orange juice replenished. staff at dinner did not speak any other language than french and, despite asking them to slow down a bit, there was no visible effort to help. this is of course legitimate but not pleasant. I do speak a rudimentary French but we did require a bit of help when the menu was explained.

ok. Would have liked a kettle, even if we had to supply our own tea, milk etc. Expected there to be this.Did not stay for breakfast. Needed to leave early. Bed was very comfortable. Water was lovely and hot for showers.

A bit expensive for what it’s on offer. Breakfast is quite chaotic and personnel not very attentive. Mattress toppers are not very comfortable as they move around but the bed are firm and comfortable

Ideal for an overnight stop. Easy on and off the autoroute. Attached restaurant is very good.

In Limas, not Villefranche-sur-Saone. Small room.

The location was great for a stop. Check in was swift. Room was ok. Breakfast was great

The head waiter was rude and the meal my wife chose was poor poulet volaille and bore little resemblance to the picture in the menu. 4 pieces of chicken and a little bit of rice. The lemon flavour wasn't evident. A few years ago Courtapelle was a great restaurant and was a factor in choosing the stay. It appears to have let it's standards drop.

We were en route for the south and we always stop at Villefranche. Great location near motorway but also we love the banks of the Saône just down the road. Courtpaille restaurant is good and great value for money

Toaster did not work properly and the bacon was not great. This is a very minor issue.

The rooms were excellent - as always, but see below comments about lackof service in the dining area outside.

The meal took 35 minutes to order. The waiter said he did not have any colleagues but we saw several. The waiter just ignored me when I said we were ready to order. The only reason our order was taken was due to a gentleman at another table taking pity on us and loudly interceding on our behalf. What did we do wrong to justify this behaviour? Or is it common? Breakfast marred by powdered egg scrambled!

Staff very helpful. Decor a bit tired and worn but rooms fine for an overnight stop and convenient location just off the autoroute. Excellent breakfast. Dinner in the grill was ok too.
