    Pros +

    • The owners were great and very accomodating! We had a train to catch early in the morning and they had made sure to make something for us to eat, as well as drive us to the train station. Rooms were huge and very comfortable1
    • Helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Easy parking out front. Nice views of Meteora from balcony.
    • One of the most exceptional stays I've had in Greece, and if I could give 6 stars to the staff, I would. Spiros and all the staff were amazing. Spiros, the owner, goes above and beyond every moment and frankly, a room is a room, but having staff, especially the owner, to make the stay special, this is what makes great memories. He helped advise on hikes, restaurants and was always going out of his way to help. The breakfast was all fresh local foods, and was one of the meal highlights. There is a beautiful sitting area to have coffee or wine and he sells local wines in his wine cellar. You come here, and you feel like family.

    Cons -

    • The location is quite a bit off the main road. It's quite a difficult walk up the hill - especially with luggage. A car or scooter rental is highly recommended.
    • At first, I thought the location was a little out of the way, but frankly, being in town would have been noisy and too busy and you can walk to the center of town within 20 mins, so what seemed like a negative was a positive. It's very quiet and peaceful place to stay. I think the only negative really was that there is some construction of a new road and hotel, which will likely be completed in the off-season this year
    • The bed needs a new matress.

How friendly the staff was and that they made us feel like family. They also had good information for making it a spectacular time. Good restaurant suggestions. Great location for seeing the rock formations that the monasteries sit up on.

The location had a great view to the Meteora rocks. They have a nice garden where you can have a drink with a view to the rocks. The host was very friendly and helpful they offered details on what to visit and a map.

The bed needs a new matress.

Breakfast was excellent! Large variety and all fresh and homemade. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The owner, Spiro and his family were extremely helpful and friendly.

The hotel was a little difficult to find.

This was our second time staying at the Epavlis. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast is wonderful, and the view . . . breathtaking. We stayed in Room 3 (twice!), and you have two balconies: one faces the rocks behind, and the other gives you a beautiful view of the town, mountains in the distance and a few rocks. During sunset, it's just breathtaking.

We didn't have a problem with this, and it's definitely not the hosts' fault, but the road getting up to the hotel can be a bit challenging because it isn't paved and it's fairly steep. The road is supposed to be fixed at some point, but it's unclear when. It seems intimidating, but it can be done, and it's a short drive. It's not enough of a reason to avoid it. Just be ready for a bit of a gravel road climb. It's very much worth it!!

Great location. Mary and Spiros are fantastic hosts. They were prepared in advance for our visit and had vegan breakfast items on hand.

Just be aware that some roads are unpaved.

Friendly helpful staff. Homemade breakfast. Attic for children uniquely decorated.

Gravel road access to the hotel. Somewhat dated interior. Stairs to the attic are steep and narrow.

Everything was excellent. Acco.idati g and welcoming staff, beautiful premises and views. Room #3 had two balconies overlooking the rocks and Agios Stefano view on top. It also had a two bed loft. We enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast. Outdoor bbq opens in June for the season.. Restaurants are accessible by foot with a 10 minutes walk.

The unpaved road to the location - under construction. No road lights.

Atmospheric, very welcoming hosts, excellent breakfast, beautiful quiet location.

No complaints at all, just be aware if you don't have a car and have any mobility issues you might prefer a more central location.

Perfect view to Meteora even from the bed. Excellent clean room with two balconies, fully equipped kitchen corner. The owner and the staff are very hospitable and friendly.

The stay at Epavlis Meteora Suites was great. We booked a standard room and Spiro upgraded our room and it was exceptional. Location, cleanses, the view and the breakfast, everything great.

    Everything was great

The location of the hotel is great. You have wonderful views of meteora and the valley below. The hosts are great people. They prepared a delicious breakfast and helped us with everything. Even brought our luggage to the bus station in the end. The breakfast is home made and everything tasted great. We are so happy we stayed here!

    10SuaPosted on: 3-18-2025

Owners were really friendly and breakfast was really good! I think if you have a family, this is a good spot to be. We had a little one and hotel provided extra bed for us. Thanks again!

Would it be nice if there is a hair conditioner but everything else was great.

    10FengPosted on: 2-28-2025

We had rich, warm and delicious breakfast for two days which was hand-made by the owner (Spyros) and his wife, everything was fresh, meanwhile we were also pleased to communicate with them. The owner gave us precise and useful information about restaurants, travel spots and timetable, etc, which made our travel having high efficient. the owner gave us upgrade.

    10PankovPosted on: 1-13-2025

The rooms were spotlessly clean and with a gorgeous view. The owner (Spyros) is a gem! He went all the ways out to make ourself comfortable, prepared us the wood for the chimney, helped with the fire and even offered (and we kindly accepted) to drive us the next day to Kastraki. Also, most breakfast products were home made by Spyros and his wife. A real treat!Hotel to be highly recommended and we would wholeheartedly return there again!

    Nothing. All was great!
