World's Nests Furnas Pods Village

The design of this small complex is so clever and sustainable (the cladding of each pod is cork, highlighting the natural resource of Portugal which is a nice touchl). This reveals the character of the place: sweet, hospitable, friendly and trendy.

We now understand that it was an eco hotel so if you want to have your towels or sheets changed, you need to let their very attentive staff know.

The family room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and very clean. The setting and yard are gorgeous! Walking distance to the town and Terra Nostra Garden and thermal pool. Nice breakfast.

The sofa bed mattress for my kids was "hard" but we only slept here one night, so it worked. There are no blackout curtains in addition to the thin curtains to block sunlight, so we woke up early - but we intended to wake early, so it was OK. The local rooster actually woke us up before our alarm went off, which was funny.

Grat location and nice breakfast. Very friendly staff. Bonus is that you can use hotel bikes for free.

I was a bit afraid because of some negative ratings I saw on Google but comes out this was the most amazing accomodation I booked on the island and I've been staying in several ones in different towns. I repeat AMAZING is the only word that can describe this place. The houses are so beautiful from the outside and inside. You are so close to the city center but still so isolated and surrounded with nature. The kitchen is so well equipped that I got surprised (usually there is always something missing, but not here). The view was so lovely, the garden is nice, the sound of the creek can be heard inside too, the house was warm and clean. If I would have found these houses earlier I would have stayed here the whole vacation. Definitely recommending and definitely will come back here!

There is not a single thing I was not satisfied with.

Oh boy! This was such an amazing place to stay. The room is more like a little house and you have everything you can hope for. The site is a 5 min walk to town but you feel like you’re in the middle of the forest. The staff is VERY nice and super helpful. We ADORED our stay

Wow the perfect little nest near everything! Patricia welcome us with her beautiful smile, she took the time to show us around and gave us a surprise for Valentine’s day. Comfy bed, beautiful view on the garden, thanks to the huge windows. We slept super well and had a great time. If we come back in Furnas we will not hesitate to book again!

The facility is very nice and secluded. The pods have a nice design and beds are comfortable.The staff (two woman) are very nice. They do both the breakfast, cleaning and rentals of the mountainbikes. Patricia is a very nice person willing to help and give tips.

The owners did not inform us it was possible to make use of the breakfast as it was not mentioned on Booking. Patricia (who'm we met our 2nd day) informed us that we could join the breakfast the next day but the owners forgot to mention it. So we missed a day of breakfast because of poor communication over the app.The pods didn't include the basics like salt, pepper and olive oil while having a kitchen. For people doing a short stay it's very inconvenient to buy this and move it again or leave it. Considering the price it should've been present in the pods.Also, the coffee cups cost €1,00 per cup when used. Considering the price for a full box is €2,00 in a supermarket and the price of the pod it would be a good gesture supplying these for free.Lastly, one of the pillows and the sheets contained stains. It was quickly fixed the next day but the owners talked over it without apologizing.

We were greeted by Patricia upon arrival. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas. The location was quiet and surrounded by lush green foliage. The POD was clean and the kitchen fully stocked. I could have stayed there for an entire week. The location was about a 18 minute walk to the Gardens and easy to walk to parts of the town. Breakfast was simple and included in price. Staff would provide a customer choice of eggs. Cereal, meats and cheese, yogurt were buffet style. Bikes were also included in our stay which was great for taking along the lake.

Very peaceful, clean, lots of space and the sound of the river in the backyard is lovely.

Great location, an easy walk to Furnas and all the attractions, very well put together apartment, fabulous staff, very quiet and peaceful. Free bikes were a surprise bonus!

Internet was a bit slow and we couldn't link the TV to enjoy a Netflix movie in the evening. Travelling with kids this would be a great bonus after a busy day out. Certainly not a deal breaker though and we really enjoyed our stay.

Patricia was lovely - so welcoming and could not do enough for us. It was lovely to meet her and she made us feel like part of her family. Thank you Patricia!!Just a tip - it would have been helpful to have had more info in English about local attractions and maybe a map with cycle routes. Patricia helped us book the springs which was great but a book of ideas would be really good.

The only negative comment we would make is that, we have stayed in similar places before and have been greeted with a welcome bottle of wine which is a lovely gesture and really makes a difference. There was wine in the fridge but it was very expensive so we bought our own from the supermarket (for 4 Euros!). Also, considering the price we paid, tea and coffee really should be free - that was a bit of a sting.

We had a fantastic stay at World's Nests! Furnas is absolutely beautiful. The pods were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was amazing!

Everything was perfect

There are only four pods at the property so you can actually become friends with the other guests staying there. It's a cozy atmosphere overall, especially in the well kept garden with its running stream of water at the back. The pods themselves are well designed with sliding doors inside to separate the bedrooms from the kitchen area. Breakfast was also good though, like most of the other places on the island, containing a lot of sugary products.Bikes were available for use for free at the property and you could also rent e-bikes.

The entrance doors to the pods feel like you're going into a cheap house even though that's not the case once you're inside.

The pods are comfortable, functional, modern and cosy. They are private and well-designed. The staff was kind and helpful, always solving every request with a smile. All our interactions were warm and sincere. It was a pleasure to check in, check out and receive attention from the staff that accommodated all our requests immediately.

The property could have a pool or an exterior water feature like a cold tub of sorts, there is a small stream nearby that could easily fill a refreshing pod as the area is very hot.

Modern, well-designed pods in a nice location within walking distance of Furnas sights.

Mattresses are old and need to be replaced.

Lots of windows, modern architecture, private, comfortable, nice shower, quiet. Very friendly staff. Easy walk everywhere.

The AC wasn't strong enough to cool the place.

Location was perfect for the hot springs in Furnas, with lots of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance, and easy road access to the rest of the island by car. The breakfast was simple, but very fresh and well presented. The kitchen area in the Pod provided easy cooking the days we didn't feel like eating out, and had coffee pod machine.
