    Pros +

    • The room was very confortable and well equiped. Great location and peaceful surroundings.
    • The receptionist Sabine was very helpful, kind and professional ! She stood out with her warmth and kindness! She gave quick and helpful information about a possible return to the hotel for another vacation.
    • The alpenhotel is good for its money – 50€ for a 50m2 room and all facilities. However, I was first checked in a neighbouring hotel, but my room was not cleaned as I came in, so after talking with a manager, I got an „upgrade“

    Cons -

    • The parking was very crowded but the service overall was excellent.
    • I am 70 years old and grew up in Germany and Austria. It seemed to me me very unusual to be greeted and addressed by the employees with an very informal "YOU" which means that you are very familiar and old friends with that person and have a bond. But total strangers and employees of a renown hotel to address me with an very informal "YOU" I found highly inappropriate! The waitresses and staff didn't say Good Morning or were polite or cheerful. The lead service lady however was very polite!.Dogs sitting on labs of the owners at the tables while eating or next to them while eating, I found disgusting. -Yes, it is a family and dog friendly hotel and that is fantastic and nice... but dogs don't belong at the table with humans and also not in their hotel beds.... God knows what's going on there in the rooms?- if you see them at the tables eating with the owners? Don't get me wrong, I love dogs and pets, animals in whole but there are limits especially when you are not at home and in public.

I booked a room in a little hotel, which turned out to be a subsidiary of the Speckbacher Hof, and was located in 3km from there. This is perfectly fine when you're traveling with a car.The room was spacious and well-furnished. The heating worked perfectly fine. The breakfast was fabulous. Also, it turned out that the SPA zone is included for free. Amazing!

Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options, peaceful and quiet location

    Wifi could be stronger

    The location was amazing.

The owner description was deceptive under the booking process… we got a room at another hotel 3km far from the original one. This one was old and neglected without wifi/internet.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel was in a beautiful area and had easy access to the city of Innsbruck.

Although we booked at this hotel, some rooms were located in a building 3 minutes away from this hotel, which was not at all comparable to this hotel in terms of facilities and cleanliness, and was of very low quality.

Large room with a comfortable bed. Balcony. The breakfast staff (cooks, not servers) essentially ignore you even if they can see you have a question.

I was first given an uncleaned room, therefore had to drive back to the reception to pick up a new key. The staff was very apologetic about it, which I appreciated. The breakfast was decent, although there were few vegetarian options.

Excellent breakfast, rooms are bigger than usual in such places, good in-room facilities and big bathroom with nice toiletries. Amazing view from the room and the breakfast hall.

Would have been great to have AC in the room or insect nets on the window.

It a honey moon hotel, clean , large rooms, large bathroom, lovely view at the karge garden, a very nice breakfast in am amazing area, it a 5 star classic hotel.

A gym area and some adult sport activities such indoor swimming pool ,chess tables- tennis table or billiard table will add a agreat value,

The dinner at the Alpenhotel Speckbacher Hof was very good and was open until 9:30pm. The breakfast the next morning was one of the best we have had in Italy. The room was clean.

BEWARE!!When I booked this property on my phone, it showed a different building picture but since it was a large property I assumed it was on the site. It was discounted from 273€ to 154€ for last minute booking , my genius discounts and non-refundable. I rarely book non-refundable but it was for the same day. On my phone screen it showed the room and said Dependence Michealerhof that I selected and the next screen had a “reserve” button so I selected and put in my payment information. I then receive an email that says because I chose the discounted option we would be staying in the sister hotel a mile away called the Michealerhof. This was not anywhere near the class of hotel as the Speckbacher, the image on the site and direction sheet they give you doesn’t match where you enter the building. It is on another side that you never see driving around it. So…late at night we had a very difficult time finding the hotel. The room was one of the most basic of any room we have stayed in on our Italy travels which includes approx thirty stays. The amenities were two bath towels and two hand towels. There was not even soap to wash your hands. The pillows were very old and worn out. There was no way this room could book for 273€. We felt duped. I have booked 100-200 stays on this platform alone and this was the worst experience by far. The ONLY saving grace was the meals at the Speckbacher but we had to drive a mile back for breakfast and the main reason I booked in the first place was because we were arriving late in the evening and the restaurant was on site.

This is really nice hotel for the mountain vacationBest breakfast everStaff is very helpful

Well, probably the first complain is to Booking itself. I was looking for the place to stay for one night in the middle of my motorbike tour. I started to look for the accommodation few minutes before 8PM.This hotel has a very good late time discount and I booked it. Just after it I recognized that check-in is till 8PM.If the nice lady on reception didn't wait for me, I would be late (and I was need to drive fast to get there)Generally speaking, I would say that Booking doesn't need to present the option so close to the close time.Another issue: I got a room in the next hotel, 2 km away from the main building. If I would pay a full price for 4* hotel, I would be very disappointed.Restaurant is open till 21:30. You need to count on it if you are late traveler

Be careful this is a "sister hotel" (scam)

This is a scam – avoid this hotel. We booked what was advertised on Booking.com as Alpenhotel Speckbacher Hof. After we paid for one night with our credit card, we received a message informing us that we had actually booked their "sister hotel," which is supposedly just three minutes away from the original hotel. They then offered us an "upgrade" to the actual Alpenhotel Speckbacher Hof for an additional €50 per person. This deceptive bait-and-switch was never mentioned in the ad. Nowhere did it say that the booking would be for a completely different place. We were exhausted, it was already late in the evening, and we had no other realistic option. So we drove to this so-called sister hotel — Michaelerhof — which turned out to be a very basic, below-average pension. Definitely not what we paid for or expected. This kind of misleading tactic is deeply frustrating and disappointing. Be very careful — this listing is not what it claims to be. We feel scammed.

Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful views from the large balcony with comfortable chairs. The bathroom was very large with Rituals toiletries! And the breakfast buffet was exceptional - juicers, prosecco, made-to-order eggs/omelets, flammekuchen, goulash, meats, fruits etc. - all delicious!

Amazing view from the room! A big and comfy room, quiet location

Most of the staff were very pleasent, not all of them

    7LiborPosted on: 5-6-2025

The breakfast in the hotel speckbacher itself was excellent?

We actually were redirected to Michaelerhof which was a little bit lower standard - so the rating except for breakfast is rather for the Michaelerhof pension....

Everything was super. Perfect breakfast, big and nice room.

This hotel is super. However, the sister hotel is not so pleasant.

    7JakubPosted on: 5-2-2025

Great location in the middle of nature

It wasn't an issue for us, but the room was in another building app 3km from the main building, so there is a commute to the breakfast etc.

The facility was good as well as breakfast and customer service.
