    Pros +

    • It’s period charm
    • The staff were wonderful and the place was decent. We really enjoyed the pool and work out area. The breakfast was typical hotel fair but reasonable.
    • I like the grand terrace in our room. Beautiful view. Very nice restaurant. It used to be a high end restaurant but now it’s a bistro, but the cuisine is very good.

    Cons -

    • Leaking shower . It basically breakfast
    • Our room was claustrophobically small. Bath/shower was almost impossible to use since you have to sit in the bottom of the tub to shower. Getting into the "grand hotel" required a special key and we only were given one, so it was awkward to access the entire building.
    • Not worth the very expensive price. Breakfast should be included.

The chalets and the gardens was lovely boheme and old style. Tennis court was nice extra! Garden games gave a big plus.

The one of the double beds of the cabin had a broken leg and the bed just felt down. Many things were a bit broken: toilet’s small flush, shower of the pool area, garden light etc. The decoration had a bit too worn outlook. Would be easy to fresh up.We did not get any advice or information for the chalet. The lock of the door of the chalet was tricky to lock.Restaurant:We did not get table in the restaurant for any evening. Glad we got table from Ermitage hotel even though they also said the restaurant is full.

The hotel was just great. The views were fantastic and the rooms were great. The bed was comfortable, a big bath in the room which was lovely. We made use of the lovely balcony and the pool area was nice. The breakfast was just right and everything was fresh. The staff were very accommodating and helpful! The shuttle back and forth to the town was ideal

There’s nothing I can think of that was negative about the place

Spacious room and extremely friendly mother-to-be hostess at the concierge desk. Good food and sympathetic service.

    Everything good.

Room decor a tiny bit tired.

The area and the hotel had a very elegant setting...it was very peaceful and calm....the staff were lovely...we spent 4 nights there and would go back....the food was so good too.

We felt the hotel could do with a little tlc in places and this could be done without losing it's lovely charm.

Hotel was clean, swimming pool quiet and location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was nice as outside the crowded centre and with the "old funiculaire" it was very easy to access the lake and town.

    9SiewPosted on: 6-24-2024

Quaint and charming. Staff was very helpful (Melanie & Alex). The free shuttle around the village was extremely helpful.

No food/snacks available outside the standard meal times.

    7HoriaPosted on: 6-11-2024

Beautiful setting and offers a variety of things to do (pool, gym, ping pong, tennis, horses)

Not sure it deserves 4 stars. The balcony furniture, bathroom, some things in the Grand Hotel where we stayed can use a refresh.

The location is up on hill, surrounded by nature. There is a beautiful terrace and an outdoor swimming pool, unfortunately both were closed due to cold weather . The room was very spacious and clean, bed was comfortable.

I had dinner twice at the restaurant, the food was very good. However, the manager of the restaurant was very arrogant and unprofessional. When I asked him for recommendations during my 2nd visite, he was looking around the entire time, when I reminded him how important to look at people while talking, he said that he was checking on others ( there were 2 tables and 3 staff). As I made the decision for my beverage, instead of bring me the red wine i had asked, he bought me a different bottle with a-glass leftover inside, saying that he wanted to offer me a free glass. I refused this offer as clearly, he didn’t listen what I was looking for in terms of wine characteristics, it seemed that he really wanted to get ride off the bottle. As a restaurant manager, I found him extremely unprofessional, in this case with me. Because when I observed him when waiting other European clients, he was very different. Perhaps, racism has not yet been overcome. Again this is my resonance point of view ( being an Asian)

Overall well acceptable. Staff were very friendly explained everything you need to know. Restaurant are also very good. Chef grow almost everything at the backward of the hotel. Curtainly, no chemical added. During our coffee in the morning at our terrace we saw Chef at the garden and have chance to talk to him.

If the swimming pool could open at 6:00 a.m. instead of 08:00

Very lovely chalet with a lovely, cosy, rustic feel. Great pool and lovely dinner and breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and really made our stay.

    8AlexPosted on: 9-22-2023

    Location, facilities, friendly staff

Couldn’t get a coffee at breakfast for over an hour (understaffing I suspect), restaurant didn’t have vegetarian options so we had to go into town looking for dinner.
