Résidence Odalys Les Chalets d'Evian

The house was very big and lovely, the kitchen was fully equipped, the balcony was very big. The facilities in the reception ( billiards, library, board games, gym) were very good for our kids. The personal was very kind and helpful. The place was very peaceful and the lake view very satisfying. Big parking place.

The floorboard creaked and during the night was annoying.

Very good views of the lake. No shopping facility other than ordering bread, croissant for the morning. Location is Ok but is a 30 min walk down to Evian and very uphill on the way back. You need a car to stay here although parking in Evian itself is quite restricted.

Accommodation although clean and useable is very tired and badly needs an uplift

No toilet paper , no dish soap,no kitchen paper, nothing but hardware but then they didn’t mention these small details and we arrived Saturday went next day Sunday to buy the stuff but all the groceries were closed . Horible experience

Don’t waste your money on this prison.

I thought this would be a nice mountain style resort but it was more like a prison. You have to collect your bedsheets and towels when you check in and put them on the bed yourself, pay extra for towels and extra for wifi as well. Very basic and very crap.

-they ask you €300 deposit which is not mentioned on booking.com (considering the apartment and the limited facilities provided, €300 deposit amount is not justified at all!)- they dont even put the bedding sheets , you have to do it yourself - not a good value for money, seems like they are renting you a only a roof for this money!Wouldn’t recommend - checkin time is 5pm which is quite late (reception is open only for limited time and no-one even picks phone outside those hours)

It was not clean and sheets etc were really in bad condition. The last 2 days lift was not working.

The chalet we stayed in was large, warm, with a good view over Lake Leman. Good for walking and sightseeing around Evian. Children enjoyed the indoor heated swimming pool. Good quality white sheets, very clean. Very good value for money.

Accomodation has been well used, so showing some ageing/ deterioration and could have been cleaner.

This is not a hotel, you have to make your bed!!! And leave the room extremely tidy; remove bed sheets, you need to buy towel (2 towel); there are no toilet paper (toilet pot was broken). They call themselves eco hotel, however you need to buy dish washer, sponge, kitchen towel, just for few days and throw away. They threaten to charge for cleaning if you don't clean. You barely find a staff around (if so, rude); pool is ok but a but depressing. Nice view.

Great view at the top of the hill, pool, ping pong and swing available, quiet area, good weather, little store and playground and a few restaurants 15 min walk down the hill. The kitchen is stocked with necessary tools. Laundry facility on site. Decent patio furniture. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

As it is at the top of the hill and the city is at the bottom, and taxis don’t particularly care to go there apparently?, it was difficult get get down there and explore. Also, not much is included in your price. You will have to make your own beds and pay for using towels. There is no hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper beyond what’s on the roll, or anything else. it is bare bones. Which isn’t a huge deal, you just need to know ahead of time and take a trip to the store. Also, the pool closes at 7 despite the fact that it doesn’t get dark until after 10. We would have loved to spend the evenings in the pool enjoying its very excellent view.

Confusing communication, millions of mails before and after arrival. Some information would be very useful before arrival. All basic services cost extra - soap, towel, kitchen necessities, internet (bed linen is in the price)Small balcony with all the trash coming from upper balconies, blocked in with overgrown hedges.

Place was completely bare. No salt no oil no soap not even toilet paper...

Personel was frienly and helpful.

To me it was not what I hoped for... I felt like we were 2 of all the 200, 300, 400 or 500 other guests ..... Places as big and unpersonal as these are not my favoriet ... I should have known that. Nevertheless we enyoid the surroudings - went to Genève and made trips on our bycicles.

Great location, Swimming pool.very clean. Thougherly recommended.

I liked everything, but it's not convenient that there are no cloths and towels for dishes.
