Pros +
- We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very cozy and has a warm, charming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night on our way to the Dolomites, but we would definitely love to come back again.
- Truly a 1 of 1 hotel that has been beautifully preserved from the 1300s. The breakfast experience was one of the coolest we’ve ever had. They even had e-bikes they let us use for free and there are amazing scenic farm bike routes near by. In addition it’s very easy to get to the downtown and tourist sections by public bus. Highly recommend staying here instead of the tourist district to get an authentic experience and amazing breakfast. Also there is a great local Austrian restaurant a short walk away
- Everything! The lady at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff was great. The room and hotel were exactly what we were hoping for as a traditional customs vibe for Austria. We were even treated to getting to see a celebration of a 95 year old's birthday and the military parade the next morning. It was fantastic!
Cons -
- N/a - everything was on point
- I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. The breakfast was very limited, with no warm options, and some jars of honey and jam were left empty and not refilled. There were no tea/coffee machines available for guests during the day or night, and the only option was to buy coffee or tea from the bar. When I ordered tea from the bar, it was only a tea bag with hot water rather than a properly brewed tea. The hotel does have a sauna, but it was also open to people from outside, so it didn’t feel private or exclusive for guests. The hotel offered free Wi-Fi, but the connection on the first floor of the main building, where my room was, was very weak and hardly usable.

A green hotel with a nice view of the mountains. Parking was available. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The wellness area with various saunas is just great, breakfast is exceptional and also the dinner was very tasty.
gorgeous facilities and grounds, beautifully appointed rooms, friendly and very helpful staff.
the staff was wonderful, helpful, and friendly. the room was beautiful and comfortable. the grounds are wonderful to walk around. the sauna is clean and well-maintained. overall, a great experience. i would return again happily!
nothing. everything was great
We stayed here because we have family nearby. It’s a small town so not many options. Very large room with outside seating. Breakfast pretty good.
Old fashioned, bathroom and shower would benefit from updating.
Lovely place, authentic Austrian environment. Instructions to find the car park where very helpful, allowed me to get parked and into the hotel very easily. Staff were incredibly helpful and polite.
Beautiful interiors, spacious room, decorated in old style, large bed with canopy and clean linen. Very good breakfast, lots of choice, also gluten free. Coffee from the coffee machine also with soya milk. It was nice to stay in a stylish interior.Excellent location for an overnight stay going to Italy for skiing and returning.
Beautiful authentic accommodation! Great rooms, spa facilities and food!
Everything was excellent
Very beautiful traditional old house in a very good shape and well maintained as well as modern. Amazing spa area with different saunas. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and restaurant.
The room was very comfortable. Also, the breakfast was very good.
An explanation as to how to use the television (in English) would have been useful.
Beautiful hotel and food. All the staff go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful.the advice and suggestions for places to go were better than any guidebook or media review.the best hospitality we've had in years. The spa is excellent as is the location.
2 things we did not know 1, you can order cooked eggs for breakfast 2, being from the UK we didn't know any sauna etiquette so wore swim suits for 2 days until a fellow guest told us . It would be handy for future uk guests to understand how to sauna the Austrian way .perhaps a note in the pink spa bag ?None of this affected our stay, just the only 2 things we would like to have known on arrival.
My experience at this hotel was exceptional. The service was warm and friendly, making me feel very welcome. The room was cozy and comfortable, providing a perfect space to relax. The traditional restaurant was impeccable, with every detail well taken care of. Everything about my stay was wonderful.
Typical country side Austrian Hotel, warm, comfortable, kind people, nice Sauna Area, Good restaurant.
My room, ground floor, in the second building was a small one, nice but small.
Great character to building and rooms, very clean, great breakfasts, and wonderful gym and spa.
All great!
Everything was great, the staff was very nice and helpful. The room had an awesome view to the mountains. Breakfast was nice as well.
Nothing, everything was great.
Beautiful hotel in pleasant surroundings. I liked the facilities of the hotel, I had the feeling at times that I was in a chateau. The staff was very friendly and professional, very helpful with everything we needed. The best experience was having a great beer at the outdoor garden restaurant under the mature chestnut trees. This was an unforgettably pleasant experience. Overall it was great and I would love to stay at the hotel again sometime.
Amazing room in a fantastic location near Salzburg with Great history, Great view and environment, exceptional service and friendly staff, very good breakfast with local products, many fantastic additional services included in the price like sauna, spa, hammam, light therapy, e-bike and many more. In general Austrian people are always there to help and support you with smile all over the country.
