Breakfast, a big selection Close to the beach

Location being close to beach, having a pool, having parking

Did not have iron in the room. Did not have coffee machine in the room.

I like the hotel and the breakfast buffet

It says it is in Esposende but it is in Ofir a few kms away. No problem except when you are doing the Camino de Santiago and think you are close to the hotel but had to walk a little bit more

Hotel is fabulous. Great location on beautiful beach . Staff very nice. Everything you need and more . Restaurant, bar, pool, spa.. Also a great restaurant next door with pizza, pasta and everything else plus a fabulous view over the water.

The Axis is a nice hotel close to the beach. The atmosphere is relaxing but fun. The staff are great.

It was on the ocean.

It was on the other side of the river from Esposende. Added more distance to our Camino. And, really no place for a decent meal in the area.Our room was ok, clean…The shower head bracket was broken, our room smelled of cigarettes.However, they offered a nice buffet breakfast.

The man behind the bar was great. Reception staff went above as nd beyond. Great staff.

We had a slight problem with the shower drain. Staff fixed it promptly.

All the staff at this resort were so friendly, accommodating and always available for anything we needed. I have never seen a dining room as well organized as the breakfast buffet at this resort. Most efficient by all the workers and managers. A table was never sitting with dirty dishes for more than a few moments and then it was cleaned and ready for the next customers. Fantastic staff. The hotel grounds are beautiful , the rooms are very plain but adequate and the beds clean and comfortable. Location is great because the Free bus that takes you to Apulia and Esposende stops there so you can visit either of those cities. The town of Fao is within walking distance and has a nice riverside boardwalk and some very nice restaurants. The hotel pool is huge and if you like the beach better, it is just steps away.

We enjoyed everything about this resort and especially all the very hard workers , from reception, to the waitstaff and management. The beach is super fun for watching beginning surfers and on green flag days you can swim in the ocean. Wonderful beach.

Hotel setting was lovely, very green and natural, lots of seating areas with plenty of shade. Pool was pretty with (mostly) plenty of sun loungers with umbrellas. Don't think the hotel pictures do the pool justice. Direct access to the beach. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with lots of choice.

Strange pillows - almost inflatable, they would slowly deflate when leant against. Bathrooms weren't super luxurious, felt a bit tired. But all clean and perfectly serviceable. No kettle in room. Evening meal options not very exciting and restaurants around the hotel are variable, some are pretty dire although seem nice from the outside.

The pool was very nice but you are also on the beach. We enjoyed the bowling. Breakfast was good.

Our room 605, had a horrible smell. I also thought the buffet dinner was overpriced and I would suggest going out instead.

Great view. Great breakfast! Beautiful pool & grounds. We requested three twins and staff was quick to set up a rollaway bed. Comfortable stay on our Coastal Camino.

Not many places to eat close by for dinner

Great place for resting during Camino. There is the relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is situated on side of the town in quiet area.

The swimming pool was not warm enough for our preferred level.

Location to the sites we wanted to see

Had a little construction going on but only during week days and removing the scaffolding

Walking the Camino. The hotel by the sea is nice to see. Long walk off the Camino. Music played late into the night

Breakfast was fantastic. The property sits right on the ocean with great views.

Wifi was the worst ever. Rooms are a bit plain for a 4 star hotel.

We enjoyed the food, dinner and breakfast. Very nice facility but we were walking the Coastal Camino and had no time to enjoy anything.

Comfortable bed, clean room, staff very friendly, breakfast perfectly made with 1000s to choose from.Location really good, the view of the ocean really made my experience superbly.

No AC - Although they helped with a small Portable AC;No swimming pool as they advertised;Lift old and very small;

We are a group that had arrived very late wet and muddy and all the staff were respectful and generous and could not be faulted
