Kapuhala Sicily

The house was quaint and had the country feel to it, the shower was very powerful and hot, the bedroom is in the top of the house in the roof, so the wooden beams are low, so you have to watch your head at night, but it adds to the country feel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, we took our 3 dogs and they loved it also.The selection of homemade cakes and jams at breakfast were very nice, and their homemade kefir cheese was really good and is not to be missed.And not forgetting their wine, you can't stay in a vineyard and not sample the wine that they make there!, we came back with a nice selection.We will definitely be visiting again. ???

Don’t know where to start. We booked one of the little cottages in the middle of the vineyard and had a great view from our terrace. The area is a little remote and therefore very calm which we liked a lot. The staff was amazing, always helpful and friendly, the communication via whatsapp went smoothly and requests were handled efficiently. Breakfast and dinner menu are highly recommendable, fully plant-based and very delicious.Kapuhala doesn’t have the capacities to accommodate masses of people, so at no point it’s crowded at breakfast or the pool area. All guests that we met were friendly as well.

There’a nothing that we really disliked, just some minor things that I’m sure Kapuhala has already fixed in the meanwhile. The fridge and some devices (guess it was the solar panels in the roof) were running quite loudly during the night and the pool was a bit murky at some days and lacked chlorine. To be fair, it didn’t bother us too much, so we never asked the staff to fix it.

The staff was amazing and attentive and the food and wine was outstanding. Very cool place!

The wine was a bit expensive at 28 Euros per bottle, although it was very good.

The place is in the middle of nowhere. Perfect if you want to relax and unwind.

For the price we paid, I expected to have our room cleaned daily and a better breakfast.

Everything was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly, the view and the smell of fresh herbs in the garden were priceless and the accommodation was very nice and clean.

We absolutely loved Kapuhala- in desperate need of complete relaxation the team and location delivered in spades. From the moment we got there we felt welcomed and looked after. Our maisonette was perfect for two and padding out on to the veranda every morning and drinking our cuppas surrounded by vines, sage and lavender was a little peace of heaven. I can’t rave about this place enough. Kapuhala is simple and rustic in the best possible way with clearly a lot of care and attention given to the little details. Breakfast was delightful with fresh fruit and pastries and dinner was utterly delicious and far exceeded our expectations. Being seated under a tree, over looking the olive groves as the Sicilian sun sets is a moment we won’t forget. Plus the caponata- we are still talking about it now! We relaxed, we saw the sights of Sicily, we drank 5pm aperitivos on our sunbeds, we snoozed in the shade at lunch time, we tried great wine (the farms very own delicious Nero d’Avola and Grillo wine) and ate great food. We would go back in a heart beat.

As with most of the island just be prepared for the insect bites in the evening. We didn’t apply mosquito repellant on the first evening and we got munched! But we quickly learnt and armed ourselves with mosquito spray!

The location is very nice. The pool is nice too.

Property management is almost absent. - Bar at the pool was closed. - Restaurant was closed. - Warm water broke and it took 2 days to fix.- there was no one at the reception most of the time, although the property was reachable via whatsup- no choices for breakfast. You get what they give you, which is bread / butter / marmalade and honey / and a yogurt. There will be from time to time a croissant or a sort of cake / muffin.

We had a great time at Kapuhala sicily. The facility is very well maintained, the pool clean and the view of the vineyards just beautiful. You have your privacy in the apartments and on the terrace. The breakfast was also lovingly prepared and the staff super friendly. Best regards to Emanuele, who has sweetened our vacation with his warm manner and his tips!

Stunning property in the beautiful Sicilian countryside. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with beautiful decor. The breakfast was amazing and absolutely loved that they grew their own produce. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Nothing, it was all great.

The place is very well located in the middle of the Sicilian country side, 10km from Pachino and 15km from Marzamemi. The view is breathtaking as you enjoy a 360 view over vineyards and olive threes. The independent country-houses guarantee privacy and relax.

The bath-room of our house was a bit small and a bath-tub would have been ideal. Forniture shall have been sourced locally nut overall are of a very good quality. Unfortunately we could have not tasted the restaurant as the service was not offered during our stay at the end of April due to lack of staff.

Breakfast was disappointing with very limited / no choice

Kapuhala is a pure gem in the middle of olive trees, origan/rosemary bushes and natural surroundings. Rooms have high standards and attention to details. Staff were super kind and they tried to accomodate us despite no bar and kitchen service open. Nice fresh breakfast. Thanks Shalom and the rest of the Team.

Despite low season or bad weather you expect some facilities up and running (bar/kitchen). This is a top resort and we chose this place because we wanted to have few drinks and dinner there. You expect high standards anytime from a luxury resort like Kapuhala. Unfortunately bar/restaurant were not available. Lack of ownership!

The place was marvelous! I absolutely loved the organic foods and the atmosphere. The food was phenomenal! The pool and grounds provide tranquility and peace. We will definitely return!

Kapuhala Sicily is really wonderful in every sense: location, houses, services and people. We staid there for two nights , but would like to stay for weeks and weeks - so we loved this place.
