    • This was our first accommodation that was not in a city with mazes. It is outside of Marzamemi, more in the country. As you drive in, you are greeted with a lovely entry way and gates to an estate full of blooming flowers, trees and kitties! Our room was great - not overly huge and exactly what we thought as well as private behind some tall shrubbery. We loved the huge pool and bar area where you could escape from the sun. The hotel did supply pool towels to use on their sunbeds. We did have dinner and the following morning breakfast in the lovely, cavernous room that I assume was once where the wine was made. Dinner was great but the breakfast included was amazing. We were in Italy and Sicily three weeks and this was the most impressive breakfast we had during our travels. Eggs, meat, savory items like cheese, sliced meats, yogurt, fruit, a huge assortment of pastries, breads, pies, juice. I'm probably leaving something out but believe me it was a buffet and you could choose anything you liked!
    • Location is very nice
    • The food was delicious. The staff was perfectly trained and the venue was spectacular! We would change nothing about Villa Giulia.

    Cons -

    • It was a lovely hotel and nothing was an issue.
    • Rooms are too small and are not aligned with pricing
    • Everything was great. We just wanted to stay longer.

A beautiful hotel in short driving distance to Noto and Marzamemi with excellent facilities. The pool was clean and the grounds well maintained and both breakfast and lunch were excellent. We also had some issues with our rental car we got swift help with from the friendly staff. Would come again.

Beautiful hotel, five min drive from the beach. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and made a huge effort to make our stay as lovely as possible. The restaurant does delicious food. There are towns such as Noto, Avola and Marzamemi each a short drive from the hotel.

Everything was great. We just wanted to stay longer.

Great breakfast, best we had in Italy. Nice comfortable villa with a big pool area.

RENT A CAR if you come here. You can't really get anywhere from the hotel area without a vehicle, which we didn't have. Pedestrians aren't really a thing in this area, so when you are walking to for example San Lorenzo, you walk on busy roads with high speed limits where two cars can hardly pass each other, meaning you really need to be careful to not get run over.Getting a taxi from the hotel is easy with the reception, but getting a taxi back there is another story.

Amazing location really. Special mention to the amazing food, locally sourced/home made. We also bought some olive oil. Very welcoming staff.

Only tiny downside: rooms are not soundproofed.

Everything!!! I think this is one of the most beautiful hotels I ever stayed. The structure, how clean it is, confortable and beautiful, is amazing the care and details in it. The pool is wonderfull and the service perfect. It was the first time our expectations were surpassed.

Gorgeous atmospheric hotel in a beautifully restored old winery with a wonderful pool. Fabulous breakfast and friendly, welcoming staff.

As English cat owners ... we thought the cats needed a bit more care.

Very charming and quiet hotelComfortable roomsNice outdoor and swimming pool areaOnly 10 minutes from the centre of MarzamemiGood breakfast and food options at the pool

My only regret is that I asked for a (very) late checkout (to keep the room until 4-5pm) and the only possible option was to pay for a full night whereas I would have been happy to pay an extra and spend the day at the pool, have lunch there etc... Which I feel would have been a win for everyone. But I also have to say they agreed to let me check out one hour later, for free, which was still appreciated

Beautiful Hotel with great facilities and a great staff - loved the structure which is beautiful, loved the pool and the spacious and clean rooms - staff is very kind and always there to help. Structure has parking which is also very good. Overall we loved our stay. The hotel can also help you to book a nearby beach facility (Agua Beach) for a discounted price which was very useful to skip the lines at the facility when going to the beach - great bonus service!

The Wi-fi provided by the structure is not working in certain areas of the hotel/facility; For example it was not working in our room which was a problem as we use it to plan our activities around the hotel/location when we travel to new places and we had to use our own data which is not ideal - I would suggest to the management of the hotel to fix this because in 2023 a 4 start hotel needs a top quality wi-fi service across all areas. The breakfast was very good but also very sweets-focused with limited savoury choices - as not everyone eats cake in the morning - I would suggest balancing 50-50 between sweets and savoury. The above are minor points as the rest of the experience was great.

Location far from city center but very calm.Wonderful place including very nice swimming pool and restaurant.Nice surroundings and deco is great.Staff always available to help (and when nobody at the bar at the swimming pool :-) , always possible to call them and they were there in a few minutes).

Villa Giulia is a beautiful masseria near the splendid port of Marzamemi its a bit dated this goes for the entire structure facilities - ovviously the buildings are old but the rooms are very very dated. All in all very nice property just too expensive for what it is. Breakfast was wonderful very good probably the best breakfast we had. They had all sorts of good traditional foods and granitas. Very nice stay just a bit too expensive for what they offer.

the rooms are very very dated.

clean rooms, comfortable bed, nice dining room, large and nice pool areathe hotel-area is very nice and it’s a calm place to relax

breakfast does need improvement, especially they should hire some staff that is able to at least understand a bit of English, also the toilet flush wasn’t only working 1 of 20 times, no pool bar was offered

    10LoesPosted on: 5-16-2023

The staff were incredibly friendly, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was just superb, with freshly baked cakes, fresh fruit and a selection of bread and brioche and home made jams. The hotel just oozes atmosphere because it used to be a wine estate. Signs of this era are visible everywhere. We stayed just one night and booked a basic room, but it was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

We just wish we could have used the pool, which looked inviting.

Villa Guilia is perfect. This is the place for mature sophisticated travelers who love true luxury - a classy experience without the sophistry of faux luxury - of a beautiful environment, attentive but not cloying service, and spectacular food and wine (their own). Easy to explore baroque city of Noto delights from there and 7 minutes from San Lorenzo beach with white sand and water so clear one can watch fish swimming past. Quaint fishing village Marzamemi is also just around the corner. Be warned, you may never want to leave Villa Guilia...

That I could not stay longer.

Beautiful property with a lovely garden and interesting grounds, which are worth a visit in themselves. Service was excellent and great breakfast.

Beds slightly on the high side for my elderly parents but the mattresses were very comfortable.

The Hotel Villa Guilia was probably one of the most interesting hotels that we stayed in during our visit to Sicily. It is an impressive hacienda style building with small casitas located around the lovely grounds. Very nice and helpful staff. The outside dining and breakfast patio, looks out onto the swimming pool area. There is a large indoor dining room lined with old wine barrels, providing a rustic, but charming dining environment. The dinner was excellent, a true garden to table experience, with many wonderful vegetable dishes. The breakfast was probably the most impressive that we had enjoyed in Sicily, with lots of homemade pastries and pies. We would stay here again.

    Fantastic atmosphere and lovely staff

Not enough staff but could be because of the late tourist season

    10MatteoPosted on: 9-8-2022

The place is simply amazing. Rooms are huge, comfortable and soundproof, the swimming pool is easily accessible and they provide everything you need to stay there, relax and have fun. The food is also amazing.
