Grand Hotel Sofia

Cuisine in restaurant was very good. Large room with comfortable beds. Breakfast included international and Sicilian dishes. Appreciated drying rack on balcony. About 15 minutes walk to popular sights. Front Desk staff friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was amazing, lots of different types of food - fruits, vegetables, baked goods, etc. The only downfall was that if you didn't get there early enough, the msot part was gone.The rooms are super nice, huge bed, everything was clean and tidy. The staff was also very pleasant, although at times there was some language barrier, as their english wasnát the best.

The cleaner who helped me and my children get out the dodgy lift safely.

I would like to start by noting that I informed the receptionist during our interaction that I would be filing a formal complaint. Rather than showing concern or attempting to resolve the situation, she appeared indifferent, if not welcoming of it. So, here goes, as promised...Upon arrival, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unsympathetic. She incorrectly stated that I had booked a room for one adult and one child, when I had clearly booked for my entire family—my husband and two children. She made me feel as though I had made a mistake and offered little assistance. After two hours of waiting, she finally offered a family room for an additional €250, which was more than the original price. She told me to resolve it with Booking.com, which I found highly unprofessional.I also witnessed her being much more polite to non-Indian guests, which leads me to believe I was treated unfairly due to my race. Furthermore, the room was unclean, with a dirty shower, and the food and service were terrible.

Nothing to like about the property from the out dated look to the horrendous food & furthermore rude & arrogant staff

Not sure where to start.The room was terrible AC leak flooded the corner of the room only get told that next time I should check outside myself the pipes!Check in was no short of Fawlty Towers where the staff just had no idea what was going onUpon checking in was given option of food which was food recycled from the breakfast No wifi connectivity in the roomsFor breakfast your better of going somewhere down the road During check out you get pieces of paper showing your order & how much extras you have to pay Just an overall bad experience from start to finish

Good.room, nice pool, good breakfast. Smart hotel, excellent parking and nice location, not too far from Noto.

Path to pool was not ideal and scruffy. Pool wasn't open when stated. Bed was two singles connected to make a double.

No enough sun beds, staff offered chairs to seat around swimming pool, after intervention in the reception, staff brought more sun beds.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, staff was very helpful. Many amenities to this hotel breakfast was elegant and varied. The location and private parking made for a comfortable stay.

Unfortunately, we could only stay one night so we did not get to use the pool, which is quite a distance from some rooms.

Modern, stylish, comfortable, and well appointed. Large rooms and lobby, pool, etc. Probably the best hotel in town. Decent food in restaurant.

Very odd layout finding our way to the restaurant. 20 minute walk to main old town area.

Location is excellent. Family friendly and good value for money.

Staff need to give more attention to guests.

Great pool and breakfast

The room we had was spacious with decent size bathroom and comfy bed. The view was okay, however too hot to enjoy the balcony. A 10 min stroll into the old town which was absolutely stunning. The massive and easy to access parking, was super important for us with our hire car. When I was reading reviews re: this property, couldn’t really understand the comments about the position of the swimming pool - but now agree, the pool access was very strange. Also agree with comments that the hotel lacks personality - it’s not at all welcoming and just needs “something”. Was a pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel is located at walking distance of the old city center. Breakfast is diverse and good. Free parking.

Staff is uninterested and hardly speaks English, hygiene around swimming pool should improve, loud rap music from pool bar is not everyone's favorite choice. The hotel lacks character and is not worth the prices they ask.

Practically everything the room was spacious, clean and with a great view, the location of the hotel, the parking facilities and above all the staff were very helpful

The pool water could have been a bit more clean

The pool area is abit tucked away , and not easily accessible with toddlers whilst using a pushchair. Pool bar careless .
