Pros +
- The Posthotel Walhalla Regensburg Ost is a true hidden gem in Germany. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a warm welcome that instantly made me feel at home. Despite my usual complaint regarding hotel beds in Germany—where the "king bed" often consists of two twin beds pushed together—I found myself surprisingly well-rested after enjoying a fantastic dinner and a peaceful night's sleep. The spacious shower was a standout feature, offering plenty of room for those of us who appreciate more than a cramped 1m² stall. The addition of handheld showerheads added a nice touch, making the shower experience even more pleasant. After a long day filled with walking and driving, this hotel provided the perfect oasis to unwind. A delicious meal and tranquil rest were just what I needed to recharge.
- The outside is a quite average looking but inside the hotel is very pleasant. Well laid out and comfortable. Parking area is small but just in front is one of the areas free parking lots. With greenery all around this lot is widely used by bikers. Walking to Walhalla or catching the bus to Regensburg is easily done. Breakfast is more than satisfactory with a large dinning area or if you like terrace seating. For evening eating there are 4 restaurants very near that are good. The hotel restaurant is by reservation so if you forget, next door Greek, Italian, or traditional.
- Not sure who gave this 4*. Avoid at all cost!
Cons -
- As much as I enjoyed my stay, I couldn't help but feel let down by the bed arrangement. The "king bed" setup, which was essentially two twin beds combined, resulted in a less than ideal sleeping experience. It's a common issue in many hotels across the country, and it would be fantastic if they could address this for a truly comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, my only regret was oversleeping and missing breakfast, which I heard was excellent. While I can't speak to firsthand experience, it would have been a great way to start the day.
- The pillow was not too good.
- Shower door didn't close, shower fixation wasn't fixed and kept falling. Minibar didn't work. Bed mattress not very good. Wc wasn't properly cleaned. No toaster on breakfast.

Very friendly and Restaurant etc. was Open
Bathroom was tiny and not properly cleaned, some surfaces were dusty, felt like we were the first guests this year, but then you would expect it was deep cleaned, ready for the season. It wasn’t.
Cozy, very clean, staff were super nice. Breakfast was not too fancy but really good. My room was super clean. Windows had a screen so I was able to open them and enjoy fresh cool air.
Excellent breakfast, with a lot of options to choose from. Very kind staff. The location is a bit far away from the city centre, but this is not a downside because of the quietness and cleanness in the surroundings.
Nice, quiet and cosy hotel. We have been here before and certainly will come back also next time.
Nice, quiet hotel next to Regensburg. Includes also spa.
Everything was perfect! Clean and big room which fit our family of 5! A wide variety of breakfast, check-in and checkout-time perfect.
everything was well!
Great rooms and a perfect location to stay whilst on the road working in Europe and close to Austria to travel to work
Great hotel, clean, good room, good breakfast. Staff helpful
Really great hotel, the staff was very helpful and nice and they spoke english. The room was big and comfy and very clean. An overall feeling of good quality.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was beautiful by the Danube, with a short walk to the Walhalla monument.
The only minus point was that the internet connection was not great. It was so slow and kept falling out..
Location is good when travelling, biergarten close by for good food.
The room is on the top floor and therefore very watm in summer. Airco would be great but a fan would also help out a lot.
Good location, friendly staff and free parking
No air conditioning in the room we were staying in
Very comfortable hotel nearby Regensburg. We have been here earlier and choosen it again and again. Nice rooms, good kitchen. Certainly will visit next time too.
Location, staff,
Mold in the shower,
Comfy beds, clean, helpful staff, modern, good parking
No staff after 8pm so the bar/restaurant was unavailable. The restaurants near by also closed at 10pm and we arrived at 9:45 - oops!
Welcoming staff, free parking, spacious room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable, free sauna, good breakfast. Higly recommended.
Nice, newer rooms, recently updated common areas.
The air conditioning was really weak in the room and didn't cool the room down to a comfortable temperature. It was cooler outside than in the room and we couldn't get the room cooler no matter what setting we used on the AC.
