Discover our universe, or rather our multiverse, and Live the Experience The breakfast served under the formula of a varied buffet is served every morning in the Castle located just 98 feet away. Also come and taste the Château's Kitchen, open every day, in the Verrière at lunchtime and in the Château's Great Dining Room in the evening and on weekends. Cons -

    • Nothing at all
    • Entrance to rooms in orangery is dark and it’s hard to find the lights.
    • My only comment would be that the rooms could of been better if there was air conditioning.

Beautiful Chateau, although we stayed in the annexe and our room was standard, it was perfectly acceptable. The bed was big and extremely comfortable with a great shower and extremely clean. No air conditioning but a fan was provided ( for reasons ecological ) which we understand; fortunately the night we were there the temperature was lower than previous days. A delicious meal in the fabulous restaurant with excellent service. Good breakfast. On arrival the receptionist was friendly and very helpful.

The bid Teddys were a bit weird and slightly amusing, otherwise all was good for us.

Pool deck not great access from rooms

    Very good

The breakfast wasn't anything special. They didn't have any gluten free option which meant one of us was hungry afterwards.

From the outside it’s very beautiful, the dining roomAnd outside seating area is very nice. The food was brilliant.

The rooms are tired. The reception area etc looks like it’s need freshening up.

The room was lovely, nicely decorated and in keeping with surroundings, breakfast was varied and tasty, hubby loved the scrambled eggs.

Was a little surprised as no bath robes in the room so not sure how you would go on if you wanted to swim, do you change by the pool or are they provided at reception, it wasn't clear, pool towels were provided at reception on request.

great staff - very helpful and pleasant and very accomodating. We thought the lunch was superb - with a lovely terrace overlooking the pool. Rooms were very comfortable - nice big beds and great showers. Plenty of parking We enjoyed the pool It was a 15 minute drive to Perigaux which is a lovely town

we stayed during a particulary hot spell - it would have been a bonus to have airconditioning in the bedroomsThe pool often had a lot of dead flys/wasps so the cleaning / circulation system could have been betterWe had dinner one evening - it wasnt particulary good for the price - lunch was a much better experienceGreat that there was a tennis court but it had joints which didnt help the bounce

The chateaux was in a beautiful location, and the building was amazing. There was plenty of parking. We had a very professional and friendly greeting at reception, where check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The evening meal was to a very high standard, served in a lovely restaurant. Breakfast was superb with a very good selection of fresh food and very well presented. All the staff were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. My only regret is that I was not staying longer.

Location was convenient for mestaff was nice

the rooms at the orangerie are very dull, feeling like a cheap motel and smelling damp.the restaurant is overrated, cuisine is just good, nothing special, and pricey for what it is.

Beautiful old building and groundsFabulous restaurant and friendly staff

As we were in the orangerie and it was raining perhaps an umbrella left in the room might be a nice touch

    The restaurant was beautiful

The room was not very warm and the furniture was a bit cheap for a Chateau

The chateau is small, beautiful and well maintained. The annex with bedrooms is of a high standard. The evening dinner was, sincerely, a really special meal at a reasonable price. The staff were pleasant and professional. I would definitely stay again.

there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room which is always a nice thing to have and this was missing for me, but the rest of the stay was faultless.

    8SuzannePosted on: 10-16-2024

We have stayed before but not in the annex but disappointed with the booking.com description of the supérieur room as a garden view as w knew the property and did not expect to pay for a superior room with a view of the house next door .Also on booking it states all taxes and charges included in the price we paid but do not state that France and other européen countries you have tax sejour . We are aware of this tax as we live abroad but the booking website is very misleading stating all taxes and charges included in the price .

That a supérieur room did not have coffee making facilities.

The swimming pool area is beautiful

We last stayed here for our honeymoon in 1997 and wanted to return with our daughters. This time our rooms were in the Orangerie which we found disappointing. There was no air conditioning, so it was difficult to sleep, plus there was no fridge or room safe. I had already paid for both rooms earlier in the year, but on arrival the receptionist disputed this but after about 10 minutes agreed that we had paid. However, when checking out, we had the fact they we had already paid disputed yet again by a different receptionist. This took around 10 minutes again to be resolved. They need a better system to log whether guests have pre-paid or not!

The food in the main chateau was excellent and the staff were superb however the reception team and quality of bedrooms was incongruous to the catering offer and situation. What a shame as the dinner (not breakfast) was very good.

The reception team on check out were rude and argumentative. There were ants in the room. the rooms are tired and not as photographed. We were on a two week break in the Bordeaux region and this was our only disappointing stay. Situated close to an industrial site.

We arrived unplanned at this wonderful location after a previous booking at another establishment was totally unsuitable. Such a delight to see such a super place with very welcoming staff. We spoke both in French and English so it is great for guests who don't speak the language, to know that it is a bilingual hotel. The restaurant was fabulous, being sophisticated with very friendly staff offering a superb service. The food was exquisite for appreciative diners.Had a newly refurbished bedroom, with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom/power shower

The light in the hall didn't turn on automatically when leaving the lift, I think the PIR sensor didnt work. The hall lights are operated by pressing the switch outside the bedroom door, but from the lift/stairs, I had to use my phone torch. Just a small complaint
