    Cons -

    • The rooms weren’t very quiet. The sound from the gathering spaces on the first floor were quite noticeable.
    • Bed was uncomfy and not very clean feeling but also was cheap
    • The shower head a bit old, could be replaced. Thin walls. But this wasn’t a big deal.

Nice and clean room. Nice staff. Location was ok, not far from the Camino. Comfy bed. Elevator. I would come back.

The shower head a bit old, could be replaced. Thin walls. But this wasn’t a big deal.

Our room was clean and comfortable and quiet at night. There is a bar and restaurant and we used the bar but the restaurant closed early and we got dinner in town.

We were walking the Camino and it was a bit far from the path.

Breakfast staff (girl with red hair) was friendly!

I felt so unwelcome. I don't know if they don't like pilgrims or if they don't like tourists, but it was crystal clear we were not welcomed. The girl in the cafe was very sarcastic and had zero desire to try to help. Even when I attempted to translate, she could care less.

The place is nice and clean. The staff helpful. There was a pool but we didn't try it.Very practical if you are doing the camino and very good value for money

Just to mention something, the bathroom needs some renovation

Overall, the hotel is a nice hotel with good facilities, the lobby is a bit awkward and constrained with guests checking in on the way of traffic in and out of the main cafeteria. The staff seems very busy and stressed. A very nice pool and grounds. They do laundry for 8 Euros, just allow 4 hours allowance. The room is warm but they provide fans. They have supermarkets nearby

They are located a bit off the Camino, the breakfast was mediocre, the coffee machine kept breaking down after one cup serving. Pastries seemed 3 days old. The restaurant staff was extremely unfriendly and seemed bothered by having to take a food order. That said, dinner food was very good.

We took a room for three people, and it was very spacious

Off of Main Road in a bit away from the center of town, so I had to walk. 15 minutes to go to restaurants.

Breakfast was superb, with scrambled eggs and fresh bread, other than ham, bacon, cheese, fruits, cereals, etc. The pool was great. Hotel not directly on camino, but staff showed me a shortcut (ard 10min) to get back to camino route.

Good location. V clean and comfortable. Good breakfast

    9Roxana-cristinaPosted on: 4-26-2025

Good price, receptionists and staff friendly. Clean rooms. A 10-15 minute walk from Caldas de reis centre.

The quality of food in the restaurant, including breakfast not great. Breakfast is advertised 7 to 10 but I arrived at 8 and there was not much food left and they did not bring more. The room had a bad smell.

Simple and old Hotel with small, but clean rooms 500m from downtown

No coffee machine / water heater in rooms. It was cold in April

    5MartinaPosted on: 4-20-2025

    Passable

The rudest staff I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. The waitress was very unobliging and rude….obviously did not want to work there. Did not greet me upon entering the restaurant, I had to ask a number of times for a bottle of water which was literally thrown at me. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I left the restaurant without eating. Upon check out I thanked the male in reception as I handed him the key….he abruptly took the key and not a word of gracias….adios….. Very rude. I would not recommend this hotel due to the staff who need to be trained on how to deal with the public

    room is large and quiet

very limited options on the breakfast

    7AstaPosted on: 11-15-2024

They took my request for a bathtub into account and assigned me a room with one. Very nice after a long hike. They have an elevator.

The place is a bit dated and worn, and the doors don’t lock, which made me feel a bit uneasy. You can clearly hear conversations from neighboring rooms, so I had to sleep with earplugs.

    5VictorPosted on: 11-8-2024

very poor breakfast. a cup white coffee and a toasted sandwich, that was all!!

Could hear everything from adjacent rooms. very bad soundproofing

    8LourdesPosted on: 10-12-2024

It's on Camino Portugues route. Walking distance to historic area, shopping and restaurants. They have restaurant on site. Very good breakfast selections.

    The bed was uncomfortable.

    9IvanaPosted on: 10-5-2024

The hotel is on the edge of the town, by the road (I had a room with a view of the garden, where it was beautifully quiet at night) The staff is very helpful and kind. Room was clean, cozy, beds comfortable. As a bonus, a sufficiently large and clean outdoor pool.

    5JudithPosted on: 10-1-2024

The reception desk staff were lovely and the pool

The restaurant staff were not good, rude, cross and generally poor. Breakfast was just ok and the room very dated. Carpets throughout were dirty
