Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club

Beautiful landscape.. comfortable house.. very tranquille.. efficient management.. best beaches of Algarve not far with car..

There is good access to the golf complex. The house is spacious. The swimming pool is large. The fact that they accept dogs is excellent.

There is a lack of utensils in the house. For example, there wasn't even a simple corkscrew. To prepare meals, we first have to study the utensils we have available to cook them. The recycling process is dubious. There are only two collection points on the estate, which doesn't encourage users. Strangely, the recycling bins are closed and there are other bins next to them, but they have no information about what waste can be put in them.

the house was exactly like the pictures, very clean and comfortable. The pool is big and chairs were available the whole time. The house was very close to the pool, which was great. The site is very quiet, ideal to relax. The distance to the beach is manageable if you travel with a car.

The balcony in the back was open to the road - traveling with a pet (dog), it would be better to have some fence to prevent the dog from going out.There should have more kitchen supplies (dishes, glasses,...). We were advised to use the machine full, but it was usually not possible.

poor house keeping and maintenance- patio area was filthy and most walls marked and damaged inside and outside. Loose upstairs heavy glass panel dangerously hanging over the patio.

This is our second time staying here and it is just lovely. We stayed in a three bed villa and while it is showing signs of aging a little, it’s still very comfortable has everything you need for your stay. The location is quite remote so a car is advisable.

Accommodation in a lovely quiet setting. 1 minute walk to pool area, 10 minute walk to the golf course & bar/restaurant. Good golfing facilities. Friendly staff.

Peace and quiet, lovely surroundings in countryside. Live music on Friday night was a bonus...

Washing up liquid and a sponge for the kitchen would be helpful.

The serenity & staff politeness.

These facilities are not well insulated for the winter months which in this particular area was extremely damp & moist. You could literally smell the intensity of the dampness of the house as you stepped in. It's as if the house was locked up shut for several months without any airing at all. It's such a shame as these homes are quite accommodating if this factor was not present.

Space. Cleanliness. Location. Beautiful kitchen. Sunny terrace. Comfortable beds.

Noisy workmen at 7.30 on Saturday morning. Living area furniture could be more comfortable.

The villa and the golf and country club were excellent. I had golf lessons from the professional Peter O’Connor which I would recommend. Great location a short drive away from the beaches of Monte Gordo with its boardwalk and restaurants.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.Parking was beside apartment. This accommadation was great. A very clean spacious apartment. It had everything we needed to use. This was our first apartment on our holiday in Spain and Portugal. There was a great supermarket in castro marim. In hind sight we would have stocked up on small butter cubes and individual laundry washing powder sachets. Only place in Spain and Portugal we saw them! Had a nice big clothes rack.It was a nice location out in the countryside. When we were there in October, there weren't many other people around so very quite. Sadly this meant bar facilities at golf club were closed the days we were there.We went along to Tavira which was a great day trip in car. We also checked out the fort at castro marim which was interesting and had great veiws. Only 1 entrance so make sure you know where to head before you end up doing a lap of whole hill in the heat!!!We enjoyed using the pool. We had views overlooking the pool area through the pine trees. Very relaxing. We would return here.

Be aware no supplies of tea, coffee, laundry washing powder etc so bring your own or stock up before you get there.

Elegant house, functional and good taste in furniture.Swimming pool and jacuzzi in main bathroom.One private bathroom per bedroom.Very quiet, private, and relaxing (in October at least).Mosquito nets on every window keeps them outside.Fully equipped kitchen for any need.The main building provides a variety of food.

- Only reachable by car, even if it takes only 10 minutes to restaurant or supermarket.- Mosquitos won't give a rest outside.- would be nice to have some minimal detergents for the washing machines

Very spacious, clean and reasonably well equipped kitchen.

Would have been nice if they had supplied a bit more washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. It’s such a waste when you can’t buy just a small bottle of a few tablets for a short stay.

It is quite quiet, the house is comfortable, the main bedroom is amazing, near the beach,…

The pool area was nice but very poorly supervised. Ball playing in the pool was accepted and some of the children were playing very rough and with a hard ball. Also inflatables were allowed. We did complain and we were told that they were going to place notices to stop ball playing . The supervision was non existent.

Good sized Villa, shared pool area and clubhouse was great, staff were courteous.

Cleaning could have been better, Villa garden area could have been better maintained.
