- This is a great place to stay If you are wanting to explore more of Alpe Di Suisi/Seiser Alm and Kastleruth/Castlerotto. I loved my one night stay here and how attentive the owner and staff were. The accommodation has a wonderful view of the valley below and a gorgeous panorama seating area in the dining room. I stayed in a room with a single bed that I found spacious and quiet. The bathroom has everything you need. I was able to park my car in their parking garage and it was easy to get in and out of!
Cons -
- Front door was locked at 11pm when I arrived but staff was available at desk. May want to call ahead if you arrive later in the evening. But I¿m used to US hotels which seem to stay open all night. Probably just a European thing
- We had a room at the 1st floor above the reception area. This is a rather noisy after 07:00 in the morning. The balcony was very small with only one chair. However one can always sit at the terrace in front of the hotel. So who needs a balcony?

Location was very good. The view is splendid and access to seiser alm is very easy. Breakfast is well served and the evening diner with standard menu is well prepared. The owners and staff are very friendly.

The location of Hotel Ortler is outstanding. I went up to Alpe di Siusi for sunrise each morning. The staff and food are also fantastic, and my room was just what I needed. I would return in a heartbeat.
