Pros +
- Super nice hotel! Very modern, comfortable and big rooms, with all the amenities that you might need. The food was excellent, both breakfast which offered huge selection, as well as dinner. Dinner is a must. It's a set menu which you pick in the morning, and there are plenty of options for vegetarians, gluten free etc. It's a 5 course meal every evening, so need to pace yourself, since you can easily overdo it with food. The hotel has a pool, which is quite small, and not very convenient for swimming, but a nice place to relax after skiing. There are several saunas available too. There is a large ski depot where you can keep your ski gear. Also, there is plenty of parking available around the hotel, as well as in the garage. Public transport is available to take you to Cabinovia Alpe di Siusi and it is very convenient, as the busses go frequently (bus #3 and #173) and the bus ride is about 10 minutes. It takes about 5 minutes from the hotel to the main bus station.
- The breakfast was excellent. It was close to town center and we could walk to everything. Town restaurants that we went to were fantastic!
- Great stuff. Very helpful. We too the half board upgrade. Dinner was great and every day the dishes were different so it was like going to a different restaurant every day without leaving the hotel.Outdoor pool we used was perfect.
Cons -
- Evenings were a little chilly, but considering the time of year, that would be expected to some degree.
- Minor things can be improved regarding the SPA area and its management.
- A big part of the spa (downstairs) is still very old and used, like the sun beds are full with spots and old-school not in the good sense. The pool bag and all bathroom and pool towels are still the old ones, from the time the hotel was still a 3 star hotel, it’s not very elegant to still offer the old, weary towels and ask for a higher 4 star price. We didn’t have a set of slippers that are usually provided in this category hotels. A jacuzzi would be nice, or a higher temperature in the pools as the water was cold, and we had to get out relatively soon as we were freezing.

Loved loved this property in Castelrotto! The property is beautiful, very clean and very comfortable. The outdoor pool overlooking the town of Castelrotto is lovely and the convenience of having a lift next to the hotel is a plus. The Alpenroyal Hotel team is wonderful and very accommodating, Monica, Sandra, Simona, Aisha: thank you for making our stay an unforgettable one!
Almost everything. Rooms are very clean, modern and spacious. The staff is very professional, kind and allways ready to help you.
Minor things can be improved regarding the SPA area and its management.
The hotel has a great location, close to many main attractions in the area. A big part of the hotel has been renovated recently, our room was very nice and elegant! They are dog friendly that is a big plus. The breakfast was very good, the dinner was okay too (they served some very retro dishes), but overall it was fine. The staff in the restaurant and bar was super nice ?

Location, verry dog friendly, good dinner, big room
Breakfast almost the same in every morning, verry tasty but the same meal. The pillow are too soft. The sofa bed not the best I sleep ever but it work...and a sugestion - in the toilet and bathroom need to exist a night light and a shampoo (in a 4 star hotel it supposed to exist shampoo, shower gel and body lotion in the room)
Location Clean Quite Free parking
No AC You need AC if you are in ground or 1st floor
The rooms and spas of the hotel are wonderful. Our beds were so comfortable we didn't want to get up in the morning. We used the hotel spa facility and it was a very rejuvenating experience. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of variety of choices. We had the fixed-cost dinner at the hotel. The meal was exceptional, in quality, variety and value. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise that we were given free passes to use for transportation.
It would have been even nicer if skin moisturizer were provided
Pool and spa facilities were lovely. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food (dinner and breakfast) were excellent.Information about the local area, free access to the local bus services and the adjacent ski lift.Hiking and cycling trails on the doorstep. Superb
Friendly staff, delicious cuisine, and a pleasant spa experience.
Food is amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality and extensive detail of each dinner. Excellent local and fresh ingredients
Can't speak highly enough of this property! Starting off, the property itself is just stunning and the amenities they have onsite are top notch (the view from within the outside pool is unbelievable). Monika and her team were so kind and welcoming, and provided tons of great recommendations and were just always available to help make our stay as best as possible! The room itself was sleek with such a comfy bed and amazing bathroom and private balcony. Breakfast in the mornings was just the best open buffet with such a wide variety of cold and warm options! We never took advantage of the dinner there, but their options always looked great. Could not recommend this property enough though to spend your time in Castelrotto and the surrounding area!
Room didn't have any air conditioning, and the warmer weather made the room a bit warm/stuffy at night but we left our balcony door open to let in some air which helped some.
The breakfast was very good, and the parking is right there so no worries with that. They were repaving the parking lot when we arrived, which was a bit of an issue but they stopped and allowed us to pull into the garage. The entire staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Gave nice recommendations for hiking, etc. Enjoyed a dinner on site and the food was very good. Would highly recommend this to friends and family, and would definitely come back to this city to enjoy more hiking in the beautiful Dolomites!!
We liked everything about this hotel!
Beautiful hotel with great views, lovely facilities, super clean and comfortable.
The rooms were a bit hot during the day and loud with construction close by.
A recently renovated property. Everything was new and very clean. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They even let us use the entire indoor pool for one hour for ourselves. Location is great.
The hotel was close to a bus and had a wonderful view of the Dolomites from our room. The owner was very helpful and gave us a free room upgrade. The hotel offers a fantastic five coarse meal that is available for a reasonable price. We had an early departure so the owner packed breakfast for us. They also provided a free bus pass for our stay.
The room didn't have air conditioning but it is not really needed in this part of Italy.
Staff super! Good location! Very comfortable and modern! Nice dinner for a reasonable 15 euros per person.
