    Pros +

    • The room we paid for is a suite and it is super nice.
    • We feel lucky to stumble upon this gem of a hotel. ICARO exceeded our expectations in every respect. Its location, accommodation, staff, spa and pool were top notch. We plan to come back here for a longer stay.
    • The location of Icaro Hotel is stunningly beautiful. To me, this part of the Dolomites is the most beautiful place on earth. The outside pool allowed you to enjoy the view while stretching out your muscles after hiking. The saunas were exceptional as well. All the staff were incredible. Stephanie, Sarah, and all the front desk staff were so helpful and welcoming. The dining room staff were so attentive and friendly. The dining room manager Giovanni went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. And the sustainable practices are so great. We loved how the dinner portions were small (but more than ample) which avoided food waste. Coming from the USA were there is so much food waste made us really appreciate this eco conscious approach. Bravo Icaro! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

    Cons -

    • Kitchen food quality and selection is not meeting our standard. As we paid 650 USD per night. Vegitables dishes are not a lot. We are here to celebrate my wife's birthday, and the hotel knew it was before our arrival. But we don't see anything they prepared for us. A bunch of flower, a birthday cake, and birthday card, no, all no. That is a little bit unacceptable, as we stayed many other properties right after, as comparison, ICARO is the worst for this part.
    • We liked everything. Except the dinner menu was a bit confusing.
    • Not one thing. Everything was perfect.

This hotel is truly the best of the best! From the breathtaking mountain views to the warm and attentive staff, everything exceeded our expectations. At first, it may seem a bit pricey, but once we arrived, we realized that every single dollar spent was absolutely worth it. The breakfast was top-notch and a perfect place to stay in Dolomites. Highly recommended!

    Nothing!

The place is truly unique with a wonderful vibe and amazing views. Dinners were delicious. Giovanni was excellent and helped us with everything – truly the best – he’s the reason we would come back. Great hiking and biking trails. Kids loved the trampoline.

What we didn’t like was that the bakery items were not fresh; for this price, fresh bread and rolls should be available every day. One day there was a buffet dessert, but unfortunately no tiramisu left for us, as only a few portions were made. Although there were other desserts, we specifically wanted tiramisu. For a hotel of this level, this is disappointing – or perhaps this belongs to a different price category. Breakfast was okay but nothing special; in Austria, you get a higher-quality breakfast for less money. Also, although I cancelled my massage a few hours before the appointment, I still had to pay for it – something I have never experienced before.

ICARO is an architectural gem. Its location on the alpe de suisi enabled us to leave the car, go on walks and enjoy the views from every location. It is a very peaceful place and earns its five star status in every way. It is an expensive splurge. If you do book make sure you use Google Maps and make sure you don’t end up in a detour like we did. The detour to three hours to resolve and driving those windy roads is not for the faint of heart. Staff is kind and professional. A bespoke and unique place

The location and the view are excellent.

The food, dinner is bad. The breads for dinner are left over from morning breakfast, the cod we had was so salty and not fresh.

The location was spectacular. We went in October and were able to hike steps from our room. Our room was spacious and we enjoyed two balconies with exceptional views.Spa facilities were very nice and far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was fantastic. We enjoyed breakfast and a five course dinner each day.The staff was attentive. We would definitely like to return!

The views from the hotel were gorgeous. Probably the best in the whole of the Dolomites. The facilities were great and it was a really comfortable stay. The service manager at the restaurant was exceptional as well.

The bald guy in spectacles at the restaurant.

The view of both Sassolunga in the West and Tri peaks in the East … hiking in Alpe di Siusi which is breath-taking is very convenient and a must in Dolomites … the dinner is tasty with no repetition during my 4-night stay ?

Beautiful view for sunset and sunrise. The architecture itself is also beautiful. Room was comfortable with a good balcony. Will visit again.

Pillow was too low. Not much variety for breakfast although within its limitation it was good. Dinner was average. One of our rooms came with the showering room not fully segregated from the toilet area.

The hotel’s location is superb with panoramic view of the Alpe di siusi. The deco is clean, modern and artistic. The service were fantastic and all the staff are very helpful. We got an upgrade to a suite which is surprisingly nice. We booked half board and the 4-5 courses dinners are very tasty. The restaurant made great effort to accommodate my son’s allergies and he enjoyed his meals.

    10BlairPosted on: 7-2-2024

The service was impeccable. It was clear they wanted us to enjoy everything. We did the half board and so had all our dinners at the hotel. The food was excellent. We loved hiking from the property and did not get in our car at all during our stay. I wish we had stayed one more night!

    9ElenitsaPosted on: 6-30-2024

Great location and great facilities especially for a family. Kids also loved the trampoline outside.

    10NalinpatPosted on: 6-23-2024

The location is very great. Facilities are great. The staffs are helpful.

Time of departure is not convenient during stay. You have to leave before 10 am and back after 5 pm.

    10AraceliePosted on: 6-22-2024

Beautiful views, friendliest hospitality, delicious meals, comfortable and spacious rooms, and a plethora of amenities!

Nothing bad to say at all! It was wonderful!

    10vector1043xPosted on: 6-8-2024

Location is absolutely amazing with views of the mountains from south facing rooms and dining areas. About 15 minute walk to the classic photo spot of Sassolungo which is a huge plus. Excellent breakfast with lots of different breads, pastries, fruits, nuts, cereal, cheeses. Electronic shades to help darken rooms to sleep when the sun is out. Option for renting e-bikes at a fraction of the cost charged by the bike rental stores in Compatsch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow a mini-fridge to store some perishable food items we had bought from earlier in the trip as well.

Fitness room had fairly minimal equipment/weights.

    10FrancisPosted on: 11-8-2023

Breakfast was great. Above all, it is located in great location. Awesome views just outside the hotel. You can just go out and see the majestic Dolomites mountains surrounding Alpe di Siusi. Will surely come back.

    I don't know. Maybe nothing.

    9Vito-luigiPosted on: 10-23-2023

The hotel is in an ideal location with beautiful views of fhe Alpe Di Suisi. I loved renting the Electric Bike and being able to ride around. Also the rooms are very large.
