Cons -

  • Our stay at Hotel Bad Winkel was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional, entirely due to the owner’s behavior, which felt personal, hostile, and invasive. From the beginning, it seemed like we were personally targeted. At check-in, the owner took our passports, saying she needed them “to file,” but never returned them until we specifically asked. When we did, they were found left openly in a cupboard, where anyone could have accessed or stolen them. This careless handling of personal documents was alarming and unacceptable. We checked in on New Year’s Eve and returned to the hotel around 2:00 a.m.—a completely reasonable time given the date. We were not loud, did not disturb any other guests, and simply walked a few feet from where we parked to the entrance. Despite this, the owner was already waiting and yelled at us before we even entered the building. From that moment on, her attitude toward us was consistently cold and hostile. We were traveling with our dog and paid an €80 extra cleaning fee, even though our dog is a service dog. Despite this, we felt constantly monitored. The owner entered our room unannounced multiple times, including twice while we were sleeping, which is a serious violation of privacy. One night, we returned with my brother, who was staying at another hotel. He came up to our room for no more than five minutes. The owner came upstairs, stood outside our room, and waited until he left. Immediately after, she unlocked and opened our door with her key without knocking and said she was “waiting until he leaves.” This was shocking and completely inappropriate. Guests should not be treated like children or criminals, and having a family member briefly visit should not be an issue.Every morning, she asked if we wanted the room cleaned. We always said yes and explained we were about to leave for the day. Not once during our entire stay was the room cleaned. Instead, it felt like these interactions were just an excuse to check the room bec

The room we booked had a beautiful view of the Alps. The hotel is very family friendly. A rich breakfast is served every day from the morning with the option of hot scrambled eggs and coffee from the pressure coffee machine. The staff were very friendly and flexible with us when we had to shorten our stay. The room was very clean with warmth and daily cleaning took place. We will certainly use the hospitality of the owners again.

There was no such thing.

Love it so much!!! It's a great place to relieve stress. I would like to stay in my room all the days because the terrace had a great view and the food was tasty. The hostess was sooooo kind that I felt at home! I also miss the cute dog. I will be back there as soon as I can.
