Cons -
- This is NOT a proper hotel, it is an unmanned annex of Hotel Ghibellino 450 meters away! You'll have to first walk up to the Albergo Roma, read the notice on the door, then walk to the Ghibellino to check in and get your keys. Then back to Albergo Roma, and in the morning you'll have to hike back to the Ghibellino to have your breakfast and check out. They neither said so on Booking.com, nor did they warn us (or indeed answer at all) when we messaged the albergo about our arrival time.
- The checking is some what confusing. Should be explained better, thanks to the staff in restaurant next door that explained and assisted with the luggage
- My only complaint was the size of the room we stayed in. I explained to Enrico that while the room was very clean, it was too small for two people especially with 2 suitcases. Had we seen Enrico at check-in, we would have asked to be put in a different room and solved our problem. Outside of that, our stay was very good

Amazing facility- spacious room, nice amenities, convenient location
The setting, views and garden were wonderful. Enrico recommended and reserved dinner for us at a local restaurant where we had a great meal. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious

Nice facility, but…
… check in, breakfast, and check out are at a different facility 400m away.
Great location. Very clean, good price. Very good breakfast.
Mattress on the bed was poor quality and left me with a sore back
The location but check-in is at another place. Room was comfortable ? great breakfast
Sadly my fridge was broken. No cold supply for the next day. Report it only at breakfast time, so the next guest will not have this issue
The location, cleanliness, no problem. Alberto Roma was a lovely hotel. However, after having walked nearly 20 miles on VF, having to collect a key from the other sister hotel was a little tiring. The worst was having to go back to the sister hotel for breakfast the following morning. To be honest, when we saw what was offered for breakfast I thought it’d been better if breakfast was an optional.
The property itself was very good. The only drawback was the service was not as good as it easily could have been. Here are 3 examples.Check in was at the hotel reception which was a short walk (3-4mins) from my accommodation. Reception failed to point out the wifi password. If he had I would have taken a photo. There was no wifi information in the room so this necessitated a walk back to the hotel. Secondly Reception indicated there was a phone in the room that I could use to call reception if I needed to. Unfortunately there is nothing on the phone to advise what button should be used to call reception. I tried every button and there was no answer. Thirdly I asked how to turn the heat on the drying racks. Reception advised it came on automatically at either 6:30 or 7:30. I was later advised that information was incorrect. So I left in the morning with wet socks. I should also note that my next night’s accommodation had fully functioning drying racks. I don’t understand the point of having drying racks if you can’t turn on the heat.
See comments above with respect to phone and drying racks.
We were walking the via Francigena and came across a bridge right before the town, that we could not cross. One of the staff came to collect us - she was charming. We ate in the restaurant attached to the Albergo and it was an amazing meal. Would highly recommend the Alberge and the restaurant
Pleasant, helpful staff, good location. Excellent breakfast Modern, well designed room behind a delightful old facade
Reception and associated hotel with the bedrooms approx 200m apart, not a problem unless you have limited mobility.
Modern and location
Breakfast was at another location, thank god it was not raining on that morning. Very awkward.
Wonderful breakfast, convenient location.
Beds too firm
location is central to very small town. free parking across the street in a lot. easy access- check in and breakfast are at main hotel about a 1/2 mile away. cute enoteca & great pizzeria right outside hotel
first time we've stayed in a hotel that did not have a staffed front desk. But it had a keypad for security. bed and pillow were uncomfortable. TV did not work
Very nice location. We had 3 rooms in booking (2+2+1 bed). Two of the rooms was amazing, one room was very disappointing with bugs in bed.
One of the 2-bed room had A LOT of Silverfishes in the BED!!! We had to kill over 6 of thoose between the sheets. Not very pleasent to sleep in that bed!!! That room also had a lot of this animals in the bathroom. The other two rooms hade none.Silverfish = Pesciolini d'argento ???
Old building but inside the rooms, was very nice and comfortable. Air con was good, facilities good and nicely located in the old town
Didn’t realize breakfast and check in was in a different hotel before arrival and the info provided. But otherwise all good. Short walk was ok to the other hotel
Right on the Main Street of the small town.
Check in is at a sister hotel down the street. Not difficult, just a bit confusing for a minute. Breakfast at the sister property as well. Can’t recall her name, but the woman checking us in was friendly and very helpful !
Great location, modern and clean, practical and efficient
Breakfast basement room could be nicer, but otherwise ok
Newly renovated building with nice interior, water kettle and coffee machine in room, really quiet, big breakfast
The room was really expensive for such a small town out of season for a single person
Great to have a bath. Lovely breakfast and good value for money
Bed was a bit small for me
