Burghotel Lörrach

The asian man did a lot of effort (with Google Translate and everything) to make sure we were happy. We arrived late at night but we got clear instructions on how to get into our room.

It's a great hotel. Nice and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Many hotels in the Black Forest have trouble producing the Konus guest card (which is super useful for travelling around the region), so far the staff at Burghotel Lörrach is the fastest in this :-)

There were no problems at all. Only drawback is that there are few trains serving Lörrach Haagen/Messe, but that's not the hotel's fault. From the train station it takes about 12-15 minutes on foot to get to the hotel.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, with parking outside. The hosts are very welcoming. The building is modern and we had the top floor family apartment with a balcony. It was all clean and attractive. We had a simple continental breakfast, which was delicious.

The sofa was a bit small but we appreciate space was limited. For myself, as I slept under one of the sloping eaves, I was concerned about forgetting it was there and bumping my head. The kitchen bin was a bit small and more saucepans would have been useful.

A terrace to sit in the cool, on a hot evening. Helpful hostess and her son. Good breakfast.

The room was very clean and neat, there is a fridge with drinks in it. The hotel is located in a walk distance from an old castle.

It would have been good if all 5 of us were able to stay in the apartment rather than taking an extra room

Ideal for shorter stays when one is travelling alone. Relatively close to the S-Bahn station Lörrach Haagen/Messe that runs quite regularly, except on Sundays. The room was super clean and confortable for one person. Very quite neighbourhood, close to the Rötteln Castle.

Reception was great and met our every need.
