Near to city + good staff
Small room and bad smell of bathroom
Overall, we had a very comfortable stay at Shosh Palace. The location was very convinient. The rooms were clean and the staff was very mindful. They themselves recognised that I had extened my stay on a new booking and gave me my new room earlier than the standard check in time. The breakfast was a nice touch. The rooms are lso well priced and definetly value for money.
Location was nice
As advertise in booking. Com crib is available on request. However, when you ask it's not available in the hotel. Room was stinky even though we tried to ventilate it.
I appreciated the variety of options they had at breakfast. I did notice that they often ran out of things and didn't always replace them for the next guests.
We had booked a family room with a full bed and one twin bed, and instead were given a room with 3 twins. It worked fine, but was not what we expected.
Very clean, very good breakfast, staff nice and polite. wifi very bad, I had to use a sim card.
Wifi very poor
Bad
Two days before arriving, I exchanged messages with the hotel. And then, arriving at 6 a.m after a long flight, it turns out that my booking has been cancelled. I can't say if it was something with the system, or the hotel's initiative, but it was a very difficult start of the holidays.
Pros:•The room was spacious.•Breakfast was good with a decent variety.•Some staff members were helpful.Cons:•No complimentary water bottles in the room — you have to go to the lobby to get one.•Most staff speak very limited English and often struggle to accommodate requests.•Late checkout is not allowed unless you pay an additional fee.•The blanket situation was strange — you have to insert the blanket into the cover yourself.•The manager was rarely around and not helpful when present.•The Wi-Fi was unreliable — sometimes it didn’t work at all, and most of the time it was extremely slow.•One morning during breakfast, there was a severe leak in the restaurant area. The floor was flooded and had a terrible smell. Staff ignored the issue and walked past it without trying to clean it up. It created a very unpleasant and unhygienic environment for dining.
I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately my experience didn’t fully match the expectations set by the listing on Booking.com. One of the advertised highlights was an “excellent breakfast,” but in reality, the breakfast was quite limited and not regularly refilled — we had to repeatedly ask the staff to restock basic items. On the first day, I tried to warm up a glass of milk in the microwave and realized it was spoiled. When I informed the kitchen staff, they insisted the milk was fine. I then reported it to the front desk, and was told the milk had gone bad because I microwaved it — which didn’t make sense. The next day, I microwaved milk again and it was completely fine, proving that the issue was with the milk itself on the first day. Still, there was no proper follow-up or apology from the staff. While the hotel has potential, I think there needs to be more attention to food quality, customer care, and transparency in how the amenities are advertised.
Pleasant
The room provided was quite small considering it was for 4 people. No water provided in the room and was chargeable. For the price it charged the facilities were below par.
Family room B205 isn't looking like photos. And cat urine smelling in that room! Nice view outside the window? No! You see other room in the next building on 1.5meters! Everything is shabby: doors, walls, locks, stairs, floors, furniture. You can't Walls are dirty. TV isn't smart. Remote controller for TV is dirty and hasn't lid for batteryies. Room card(key) was dirty too. Electric kettle covered with scale! No tea bags or coffee, only 2 small mugs for 3 people. We have to ask for towels and sleepers(and they came with worst sleepers I ever see!). We ask for change the room, but the staff didn't anything, just came twice for additional money! He also answer that he didn't smell the cat urine and everything is ok..I don't like the breakfast they provide... Spoons are dirty, if you came at 9:15 most dishes will be empty, several types of buns, eggs and stale sausage - this is not breakfast..I pilled one boiled egg but its white was brown!!Here in Uzbekistan all foreigners must have registration and hotels must to provide it. But in Shosh hotel they forgot to register us in first day even after reminder! Then they made checkout for us at 12:09pm and now we have problems with next registration.. I can add only 4 photos, it's pitty.I strictly don't recommend this hotel !
"I didn't expect the place to be this amazing! Cleanliness is 10/10, and the reception is excellent. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, and the hosts are extremely generous and very kind. I highly recommend this place, and the prices are very reasonable. It deserves more than five stars!"
everything 10 out of 10.?
The only one good thing about this property is the location
Very old rooms: uncomfortable beds, no smart tv, no water, no tea or coffee, no hot water in bathroom, poor heating in this very cold weatherVery poor facilities: no one to help you with your luggage, no elevator Very incompetent staff: mostly girls in the reception who can’t help with nothing, and most of the time the reception is emptyVery bad breakfast: no comment
Location of the property is good. Prices are reasonable, room size is good and cleanliness is maintained.
Breakfast management was not good and not enough items.Poor parking facility and didn't find any other facilities as advertised on site. The recitation is congested and can be managed more professionally.
Quiet, clean, peaceful. Great location in the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent every morning.
Location
Five of our group members who had confirmed bookings for 4 nights through booking.com were not given rooms saying they had technical issues!!!
Calm neighborhood, good location, close public transportation.
Noisy ambience, children running and screaming all time, they kept the swimming pool open during night time, my room had a window facing the pool and had issues trying to sleep.
Nothing other than location.
Staff seemed uninterested and unbothered. The TV in my room wasn't even attached to the wall, the table was falling apart and there were marks all over the wall. There was one charging port but the room was booked for me and my sister. I don't understand why the hotel didn't provide a double room. The TV in my dad's room wasn't working and neither was the bathroom ventilator so it got really stuffy. Just an overall poor experience and probably the worst hotel I stayed in during my two weeks trip to Uzbekistan. Staff didn't even tell us the breakfast hours or where it was served until I asked myself. Just a very poor experience and honestly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I would pay a little extra and stay at Leader hotel which is under 10 mins drive from this hotel in which the service is a lot better. The price I paid didn't justify the service I received and the quality of the standards of this hotel. Breakfast was chaos as so many people were present and not enough seats for everyone to sit. Very disappointed and in future wouldn't stay in this hotel when back in Uzbekistan.
