Pros +
- The staff was excellent. The rooms very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was very good. We ate dinner there three straight nights. The included breakfast was very good. We were very surprised to get such a nice hotel for such a reasonable price.
- The hotel literally is right next to Batalha Monastery, the main purpose of our visit to the town. We had dinner and breakfast right next to the great monastery. Food was good, service was attentive. No reason to consider others.
- Right in front of main and only attraction in city
Cons -
- Breakfast was just ok for a 4* hotel
- I liked everything.
- Felt understaffed, with just a couple of staff running around trying their best to do 10 different things. If there is no one else around, it's OK, but more than one customer at a time and it becomes slow. The bar was a bit of a disappointment, small, lots of tables but only one couch, dark and difficult to find a place with enough light to read a book before dinner. The rooms were nice, but some furniture feels a bit dated.

The hotel and staff were great.
Location . All aspects
Hotel extremely comfortable, with an excellent staff. Great breakfast and very clean
The bedroom had a view over the monastery. The bedroom and the entire hotel was very clean. Staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. The bedroom was very comfortable and we couldn't hear anything from the corridor neither from other bedrooms. Very quiet.
I liked everything.
The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed and pampered. The rooms are nice enough and spacious. The restaurant is very good. The location and the view are amazing!

Exceptional location, very spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious. A few restaurants were within walking distance. Lovely staff. The was free parking in front of the hotel.
Everything was exceptional.
Great location next to the Monastery. Welcome by staff super helpful and throughout our stay. Room good size with lots of storage. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and great shower. Restaurant was busy but found space for us. Good food options. Breakfast plenty of variety with hot and cold items with fresh fruits and cereals. Would stay again for sure. The manager came to introduce himself and enquire if we needed anything. Can I say more.
Beautiful surrounding with the church next door
Front desk wasn’t staffed often enough. At 7 pm, I rang the bell, rang it a few more times as there were now 5 people needing assistance.
Location is fantastic, right in front of the Monastary and with lots of restaurants, shops, etc surrounding.
The bed was very hard, people go to hotels to sleep so I think the star of the room needs to be a comfortable bed. This was nowhere close to comfortable. It was hard, not firm. Hard. Also there was a strange smell in the lobby area.
Great location with restaurants all around.
There was a foul smell (as in clogged pipes or sewage) on the hallway and coming from within the bathroom. I notified the staff but nothing was done to remedy the issue. I was staying on the 1st floor.
Location, staff, facilities.
Breakfast was good, but not excellent, particularly considering the best nearby. Restaurant of the hotel was good but not excellent.
View, restaurant staff, entry donuts
The location, the quality of the facilities and the professionalism of the staff.
1. arrival very smooth; room ready ahead of time and reception staff very friendly and helpful. they did a great job of showing us around and explaining how things worked;2. room was well appointed; clean; and had a great view of the Monastery of Batalha (Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória) through the window(or not as the windows both opened up to provide a totally unobstructed view for picture taking);3. booked supper in the hotel for the first night and were not disappointed. Wait staff Rui and Diana were super busy on Friday night but notwithstanding that provide exceptional and informed service along with wonderful smiles.Food was superb especially the desserts. Wine suggestion was well received.4. Breakfast both days was very good.(thanks especially to Diana).5. Second night's dinner was also good especially the starter and the orange salad(neither to be missed). Rui and Melanie were very good at assisting with information and describing choices and each have a good sense of humour. 6, Diana was assisting with breakfast both days and made sure that everything was fresh and replenished. 7. All the wait staff made you feel at home and had an easy professional way of providing excellent service.8. Hotel is a great spot to tour from as it is close to Tomar (with amongst other things the absolutely massive Convent of Christ with its strong ties to the Templars); Leiria and its Castle; Nazaré (with its expansive beach; fishing industry and historic buildings).
maybe another few nights.
The hotel has an excellent location, excellent staff, and great dinner and breakfast. The family room is actually two interconnected rooms, which was a very pleasant surprise.
The rooms are a bit outdated
Reception check in staff, restaurant for dinner and breakfast, location, view.
The only thing that was unpleasant was a sewer smell in the bathroom that wouldn’t go away.
Very comfortable, welcoming and helpful with travel problems. Wonderful restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Home from home.
For me,everything was perfect.
