Breakfast was sufficient and tasty, rooms were very cozy with a home feel, location is amazing surrounded by woods and with an amazing view

Breakfast was fine. Enough choices, also for coffee beverages.

The heating system needs new valves, which the hotel staff said are on their todo list.

Meals were very nice and service was exceptional. Accommodations were comfortable at this quiet mountainside chalet. We'll be back!

However the location of this hotel is a bit far from all kind of facilities it is beautiful located!

What should have been the crown on our holidays, it turned into a huge deception! We booked for 4 nights, we decided to leave after one night.- The room with terrace seems like a room in a cellar with no privacy and of course no view. If you want some privacy you need to shut the curtains. And the rooms are very noisy.- Our room smelled like dog, very unpleasantly lit, in bathroom toilet seat was loose.- We had to catch 3 crickets, a silverfish and another insect.- It was very bad cleaned, we could find some traces from a dog which stayed in the room before us.- Information leaflet on the desk told us that kitchen was open till 10.00 PM. But we only could have dinner till 08.00 PM.- On the breakfast buffet nothing is kept in ice. It is one of the most poorest breakfast buffets we have ever seen. A la carte breakfast at Berghotel Sonnenbichl means that you can choose between fried or scrambled eggs.- The hotel is way overpriced!- We are trying to get in contact with the Managing Director since the 9th of August without success. Out of respect of the hotel we did not write a review till now. But without reaction of the Managing Director, we decided to share our experiences.

Good mattress. Good sleep. Shower looked small but in practice was excellent. Good supply of shower and shampoo products. Breakfasts superb. Start with (selbtsbedienung) yoghurt & fruit, good selection of ham & cheese and (ordered from kitchen) regular supply of espresso and excellent eggs and ham cooked to order. During day sit and work on terrace with wonderful view of lake, Evening meals excellent including an superb wine list. Overall wonderful service.

Wi Fi was intermittent. Work got done but with occasional down times. Understand from staying at other hotels that this is German problem not specific one to the Berghotel

We liked the location, there was also a trail we could take, and the view from up on the hill was. beautiful.

Loved it all. Food was great, staff was fabulous, and the room was comfortable.

Not a criticism but path to the hotel is very steep, could be tricky in winter....

Absolutely Excellent dining & breakfast! Lovely ambience. Great location for us = very quiet.

Miniature double room requiring advanced dance moves to negotiate together. Limited and dim lighting. One chair. And this at a very high price! Since our group needed 4 rooms, we could compare - our room was just as expensive but tiny. My frustration would be significantly less if room price reflected comfort level.

Breakfast is okay with something on the menu for most, however, you will need a chainsaw to open the bread rolls if you can get one before anyone else and a trip to the dentist afterwards.

The whole experience is extremely disappointing and is way overpriced for what you get. The room has a bed, a cheap pine wardrobe, a dressing table and bedside tables and that's about it. The bathroom was a shower and toilet. No bin, no seating, no TV, no Fridge, and limited space, and the internet was very poor. The hotel itself had no staff anywhere with a number to call if you needed anything. No facilities at night, not even a room to sit and read in. Advertised as having a bar and restaurant on site but it was closed the whole time we were there. This meant we had to drive or walk to town. Driving means no drinking and walking means 20-30 minutes to town down and up a very steep hill, not bad in daylight but try doing it in the dark!

Great hotell with wonderful view and the best staff and owner. Outstanding breakfast and food.
