Hotel Rex

The whole establishment is a bit tired as it isn’t new anymore . However it is still well maintained and the staff is friendly and efficient.

The food in the restaurant isn’t particularly good. Breakfast is acceptable, dinner is below par.

I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel. The hotel has a unique charm, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. I particularly liked the antique furniture in the hallways. Everything was clean, and the staff were very friendly. A small piece of advice: request a room facing the garden instead of the road, as it is quieter.

They accommodated my late check in due to a flight delay, and both the parking and the room were easy to find. The room had a spectacular view, and breakfast was delicious. It's very close to the lake for a walk if weather permits.

Everything was great during my short stay. I would just let people know that there are a few stairs to get inside, and no ramps. Just FYI if carrying heavy luggage or someone isn't OK going up the stairs. Inside there are elevators.

Very nice breakfast. The rest of the village is easily to reach by food. The shower was kind of small.

Staff was very nice. Breakfast was ok, German style (don't expect croissants ;)). Location is 5 minutes walk to a very pretty lake view. I liked the private balcony option and the so welcome fancy toiletries

You're forced to buy a 3 euro tourist card even when you won't use it, and you can't opt out of it. The final price informed on booking.com did not include the tourist tax, in spite of being shown as final

Amazing hospitality and such a beautiful stay, rooms were spacious and clean. The manager was super lovely and was so awesome to connect with her over some kiwi past. Beautiful decor and location to the lake. Wish we had more nights

Breakfast service was great with a nice selection of sweet and savoury options.Location was wonderful near the Tegernsee, with activities on the lake, in the nearby mountains and much more.Room was very spacious and comfortable with a dining table, balcony and clean shower.Very helpful staff that accommodated all our requests, e.g. late check-in.

Although it was *not* mentioned in the list of available facilities in the room, a small refrigerator would have been nice.Difficult to find parking if you arrive late.Honestly, not much else to complain about.

I traveled with my little dog and we felt very welcome at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. I loved the style with the four poster bed and the elegant and original furnitures. Big balcony surrounded by the mountains and facing the sunrise. I found very positive that in the room there was a big hairdryer (not the small one you usually find in hotels) and that soap, shampoo etc were good quality products. There is a nice, well kept garden in the back. The location is also good: there is a bus stop less than 1 minute walking; close to shops/ restaurants; few mins walking from the lake.

Everything was perfect! Location, room, breakfast. Enjoyed every second of my stay.
