    Pros +

    • A beautiful hotel with a great and delicious breakfast. The location was not the best and it was a bit too pricey
    • The property is located only a few kilometres from the stunning town of Rottach-Egern. Our room was very spacious and clean, while the bed was very comfortable. It also included a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The hostess was very friendly, interesting and efficient. Parking was secure, safe and located on site. The breakfasts were substantial and included a variety of savoury and sweet items. This is an impressive property and is highly recommended.
    • Tegernsee is an incredibly beautiful destination that we recently had the pleasure of exploring, with its stunning mountains and picturesque lake it's definitely a must-visit spot. The hotel is situated in a peaceful area, well away from the main road, providing a tranquil atmosphere. For convenience, there's an Edeka market within walking distance, making it easy to pick up any essentials during your stay. The room also included a coffee maker, which was a nice touch. There’s a small door in the room that seems suited for dwarfs :)

    Cons -

    • No fridge.
    • - With contactless check-in, the key is stored in a safe to the right of the hotel entrance, which is convenient. However, when you go upstairs with your luggage to find room 23, you won't find it because the room is actually in another building across the street, and there’s no information provided about this. Fortunately, the receptionist was helpful and assisted us with the check-in process.- The initial room 23 we had was located under the roof, and even with the Dyson cooler running, the room felt as hot as a sauna. While this room might be fine during cooler weather, it could be dangerously hot for older guests during warmer periods. The manager genuinely offered a discount of 40 euros and suggested we pay an additional 100 euros for another room, which was one floor down and it was okay. Of course, canceling the check-in and getting a refund to find a better hotel wasn’t an option :) - In my opinion, the breakfast was quite disappointing, with just boiled eggs available—no omelets or fried eggs. I was surprised to see positive reviews about it.- For older guests, the hotel is quite far from the lake, and there aren’t many restaurants within walking distance.
    • Overall horrible experience and very unfortunate that the manager felt the need to lie to us as we were very straightforward from the beginning and can simply not stay in a hotel with even the slightest signs of mold due to my wife allergies.Would never stay anywhere close to this property or the same management again.Full story:We were suppose to stay in room 12, 5 min after checkin we called the staff and showed them the water damage under the bathroom window as well as mold in the shower. They agreed this was not acceptable and gave us room 11 next door instead. Our 3 year old urgently needed a nap so we decide we would stay 1 night in the hotel and leave next day instead of 3 days as my wife is hyper allergic for mold and was immediately getting symptoms. We immediately communicated this with the staff onsite however they don’t speak English, so they called the manager and gave us the phone. He agreed to us check out early and providing a refund for the remaining 2 nights. He did mention to please not make a case with booking which we said was fine as long as we got a refund for the nights we didn’t stay.Next morning early we pack and are ready to leave, we try to contact the manager again however he was busy and said he was gonna call us back.So we left. After this manager never contacted us although we called multiple times a day for many days. Eventually we made a claim with booking who was also not able to provide us a refund.

Gorgeous, big, modern room with great shower. We had a perfect stay.

One of the front desk staff was very lovely, but a younger woman was a bit grumpy the little we interacted with her. She was unfriendly at check-in, and then also firmly denied us check-out any later than 10am on the Sunday. I understand if they need the room back (though it didn't seem full) but at least do so with a kind word and a smile.

Nice quiet location, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room. Easy and free parking.Friendly staff.

Would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room rather than just coffee.

nice and clean; friendly staff; good breakfast

My room was really lovely and cozy with a nice big terrace!Loved the set breakfast tables with the fruit-bowls, etc.

For a vegan it would have been nice to have some oat, soy or nut-milk/yoghurt
